Answered on 29th May '24
Acne occurs when hair follicles are clogged with oil and dead skin cells. It is normal during puberty because of hormonal changes. To help clear up acne, attempt washing your face with a mild cleanser twice a day, and do not pinch or pick the pimples. Moreover, benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid over-the-counter treatments can also be useful. In case these do not work, it is necessary to see a dermatologist.

I am a 25 year old male and I have small bumps in a small area on the back of my head right above my neck, what can i do to get rid of them
Male | 25
Folliculitis seems likely: infected hair follicles cause small, itchy bumps. Warm compresses soothe irritation. Wash gently using mild soap; never scratch. If bumps persist or worsen, consult a dermatologist promptly. Folliculitis is common but manageable with proper care.

Stitches on web of hand have opened and now there is pus and earlier a large red mass on stiches
Male | 14
You may have an infection in the stitches on your hand. When pus comes out, it indicates that there is probably bacteria which is causing the infection. This might have occurred if the wound was not kept clean. If there was a large red lump previously, it could have been an abscess. It’s crucial to have this seen by medical professional because, without proper care, things like these can worsen.

I have Fungal dermatitis on my face, neck & back and it won’t go away. I’m not sure the cause (cessation of birth control, overuse of other products, diet, etc) but when I treat it with anti-fungal products it sometimes diminishes, but keeps returning. This has gone on for 6 months. Can someone PLEASE point me in the right direction?
Female | 32
You may have a persistent form of fungal dermatitis. There are symptoms such as red itchy patches on the back, neck, and face. The fungus does well on the skin in warm places with lots of moisture. The causes can be triggered by changes in hormones, using too much products, or eating habits. Keep the areas clean and dry should be done to solve this problem. It would worsen the condition if heavy oils or creams are applied because of this reason. Also, make sure anti-fungal medications are used as directed only. Do not share personal items like clothes and towels with others if you don’t want them to get infected. If the condition does not go away, please visit a dermatologist.

Iam humaira. My age 20.My toe nail become black without reason another toe nail also small black spot developing
Female | 20
The blackening of toe nail can be fungal infection of the nail. You could have contracted it while playing sports, sweaty shoes, using elses socks, or even during a pedicure in salon. Avoid all the above situations. Keep feet clean and dry. Start applying Anti fungal nail laquer as Nail on or Iwin on the nail each day for 3 months as local antifungal and contact a dermatologist near you for oral medications if more feet nails are getting infected. It takes 6 months atleast for the nail to recover and get a new nail.

Good afternoon. I am Subhankar Sir/mam The skin on my testicles is peeling off. There is some white coloured powder or it smells. Sometimes it itches too.
Male | 20
You likely have a fungus on your testicle. The symptoms you have mentioned like the peeling of skin, white substance, and smell, along with itching, appear to be a normal fungal infection. They may be caused by the lack of hygiene or tight clothes. This can be solved by keeping a dry and clean environment, wearing loose clothes, and using a pharmacist-recommended antifungal cream.

Hello! I'd like to consult on a medication called Doxycycline I took 2 doses wrongly by accident (2 pills 2 times a day instead of 1 pill 2 times a day) Should I wait 24 hours and take the next dose in the morning? or should I take my next dose now? also, could I check the effectiveness of doxycycline? (I have taken doxycycline before and I'm concerned it might not be effective) Thank you!
Male | 24
Overdosing on doxycycline can lead to side effects such as queasiness or throwing up. If you took extra doses by mistake, do not take another one immediately. It is recommended that you wait until your next scheduled dose. Doxycycline might not be effective if you have had it before especially if it was not prescribed to you. If you are worried about anything, ask your dermatologist for advice.

Male | 17
Blemishes can be frustrating, yet they're normal and treatable. Spots or tiny bumps on the skin are classified as blemishes. Clogged pores, bacteria, or hormone fluctuations might cause these. Gently cleansing your face regularly helps. Applying benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid products could improve things. However, avoid popping or squeezing blemishes to prevent scars. If the issue persists, consult a dermatologist for guidance.

Due to its nature which comes in the form of oil, and dead cells of the skin, smegma is the only natural substance one needs. When it accumulates, it can cause some aches and pains.
