I have gone through hair transplant surgery 4.5 months ago. I am suffering from Androgenetic Alopecia. As per the doctor, I am taking minoxidil and finastride on daily basis. However, my hair sheds while I apply minoxidil (10-15 hairs shed) and while I wash my head. Please suggest whether this is normal or should I consider any other treatment?

Hair fall is natural. As the lifecycle of hair has different stages.

  1. Telogen and exogen are shedding phases of hair cycle where we lose hair. 15 to 20% hair are shed in these phases, therefore it's natural.
  2. But when you lose more hair than routine, then its a matter of concern. Upto 30 to 40 hair per day is normal. Whatever you lose will grow back according to your hair cycle.
  3. If you are losing thin hair very frequently then it's alarming as well.
  4. After starting minoxidil hair fall increases. But that is normal and you will get those hair back because you are not losing them from the root.

Keep using minoxidil and finasteride it will help you.

Hi sir, My self prashanth faceing problem fungal infection leg last finger getting tomuch of pain

Male | 37

Hi Prashant. Fungal infection of toe nail is a common in people who are in professions where there feet remain moist or have to wear shoes for long period of time. You need to keep your feet dry. Change socks twice a day. Use powder on feet before putting on socks.

For the fungal infection already there You need a long course of around 6 months of antifungal ointment.  As u are having too much pain there may be superinfection by a bacteria. You would also need to use a topical antibiotic ointment for 7-10 days.

For three years now, I have been experiencing an itch that comes and goes on the right side of my stomach. A little bit below my breast. It occurs on the same exact spot. There's no rash or skin discolouration. It is not that uncomfortable, like sometimes I don't even need to scratch it. Placing my hand on the spot can provide relief immediately. It can happen anytime, when I feel hot, when I'm lying down, when I'm walking. I haven't yet noticed a particular trigger.

My skin is very dull and i am having open pores near to the nose are on cheeks, skin texture is uneven.what can be possible reason for that

Female | 27

Dull, oily skin with large pores on the nose and cheeks is a common issue. This can result from excess oil production, genetics, or inadequate skin care. These factors often lead to rough patches and an uneven skin tone. To improve your skin, try using gentle cleansers, exfoliating regularly, and applying a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizer. Additionally, staying hydrated is crucial. Open pores can get clogged with dirt and excess oil, but regular exfoliation can help keep them clear. Proper moisturizing prevents dryness without causing excess shine. With consistent care, smooth and evenly-toned skin is achievable.

I’m 16 years old I have acne from last 8-12months I have shown to 2 dermatologist but it doesn’t work properly I have acne spots on chest & shoulders too What should I do? & have oily face

Female | 16

It could be for many reasons, including hormones, stress, genetics and skin care products that can cause acne. It is recommended that you consult with dermatologist to assess your skin and determine the best treatment for your specific needs. In the meantime, maintain a gentle and consistent skincare routine, including cleansing your face twice daily with a mild cleanser and moisturizing with a non-comedogenic moisturizer. Avoid irritating ingredients such as alcohol and fragrances.
