I have gone through hair transplant surgery 4.5 months ago. I am suffering from Androgenetic Alopecia. As per the doctor, I am taking minoxidil and finastride on daily basis. However, my hair sheds while I apply minoxidil (10-15 hairs shed) and while I wash my head. Please suggest whether this is normal or should I consider any other treatment?

Hair fall is natural. As the lifecycle of hair has different stages.
- Telogen and exogen are shedding phases of hair cycle where we lose hair. 15 to 20% hair are shed in these phases, therefore it's natural.
- But when you lose more hair than routine, then its a matter of concern. Upto 30 to 40 hair per day is normal. Whatever you lose will grow back according to your hair cycle.
- If you are losing thin hair very frequently then it's alarming as well.
- After starting minoxidil hair fall increases. But that is normal and you will get those hair back because you are not losing them from the root.
Keep using minoxidil and finasteride it will help you.

It's understandable to feel concerned about rashes on your skin and genital area. These symptoms may indicate an infection, allergic reaction, or skin condition. Common causes include irritants, sexually transmitted infections, or fungal infections. It's essential to keep the affected areas clean and avoid irritants. Over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream might help relieve discomfort. However, please consult a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment tailored to your situation.

You may have dyshidrotic eczema. It looks like small blisters on hands, fingers, and feet. Irritants, allergies, or stress cause this condition. Though not itchy, blisters feel painful sometimes. Keep hands and feet cool and dry. Use mild products. Avoid triggers like certain soaps or foods. If it worsens, see a dermatologist.

I applied undiluted dettol on my face [acne region (cheek and forehead) as it was bleeding] and forgot to wash it off. This later burnt my skin and now two months later theres a brownish patch which I am unable to get rid of regardless of how many scars removal cream and depigmenting creams I have used. Please help me recognise the problem with a solution for the same. Thank you.
Female | 16
Undiluted Dettol is said to cause burns and dark patches on the skin, especially the sensitive area of the face. The brownish skin spot that you have may be the result of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. To discolor the patch, avoid sun exposure by applying sunscreen, and think about visiting a dermatologist for chemical peels or laser therapy treatment.

For three years now, I have been experiencing an itch that comes and goes on the right side of my stomach. A little bit below my breast. It occurs on the same exact spot. There's no rash or skin discolouration. It is not that uncomfortable, like sometimes I don't even need to scratch it. Placing my hand on the spot can provide relief immediately. It can happen anytime, when I feel hot, when I'm lying down, when I'm walking. I haven't yet noticed a particular trigger.

My skin is very dull and i am having open pores near to the nose are on cheeks, skin texture is uneven.what can be possible reason for that
Female | 27
Dull, oily skin with large pores on the nose and cheeks is a common issue. This can result from excess oil production, genetics, or inadequate skin care. These factors often lead to rough patches and an uneven skin tone. To improve your skin, try using gentle cleansers, exfoliating regularly, and applying a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizer. Additionally, staying hydrated is crucial. Open pores can get clogged with dirt and excess oil, but regular exfoliation can help keep them clear. Proper moisturizing prevents dryness without causing excess shine. With consistent care, smooth and evenly-toned skin is achievable.

I'm 23 year old I have pea size white patch in the upper tip of my lower lip. Doctor prescribed me melgain lotion for 40days at morning, takfa ointment 0.03% 2 times a day and cylofac capsule at night. Can I just use takfa ointment for now as I am afraid to use lotion. If the ointment suits my lips then will lotion afterwards.
Female | 23
The white patch you describe could be due to various causes, such as vitiligo or another skin condition. While it's essential to follow your doctor's prescribed regimen for optimal results, starting with just the topical ointment is a reasonable choice if you feel more comfortable with it. Ensure you monitor how your lips respond. However, please remember that the lotion plays a significant role in your treatment plan. If you have concerns, I recommend discussing your feelings with your dermatologist, who can offer tailored guidance and reassurance.

Take care when removing moles without the aid of a physician. If there is a large mole that changes shape or color, it may be necessary to have it examined by a dermatologist.
