I have melasma on my face, i use triple combination cream which doctor prescribed me, but no result

Answered on 23rd May '24
It is best to consult with a dermatologist to get an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan for your melasma. Depending on the severity of your melasma, they may recommend a combination of topical and laser treatments, chemical peels, lightning creams. Recommended limiting sun exposure and wearing sunscreen with a high SPF rating, to reduce your risk of further melasma flare-ups.

There’s like a red line appeared in my back since last 2 weeks it feels like 2D
Female | 17
This red line is most probably a rash that arises from some irritation of your skin due to something. The most frequent reasons are allergies, insect bites, and skin irritation due to clothing. To help, try using a mild soap and not scratching that area. If it doesn't get better, visit a dermatologist.

I'm a 21 year old male I have small white patches on the top of my penis along with some red dots and the urethra is inflamed as well as the foreskin and a slight burning sensation when peeing as well as frequent urination and a clear discharge
Male | 21
You might have a condition called balanitis. This issue occurs when the penis' foreskin becomes inflamed and red, and, in some cases, white patches can appear. The burning of the urine and the clear discharge may also be the result of this. Balanitis may occur due to hygiene issues, infections, or skin problems. Wash the area regularly and dry it, not use soaps that are too harsh, and prefer loose clothing. If the symptoms continue, a dermatologist can give medicine to make them go away.

I finish my accutane treatment so can I consume supplement vitamin A
Female | 23
It is recommended that you seek the advice of your dermatologist when considering any vitamin A supplements after ending your Accutane therapy. Toxicity occurs when too much vitamin A is ingested since the liver becomes affected. Based on your medical background and condition, the dosage and duration of vitamin A supplements will be recommended by a dermatologist.

I am 14 year male from India I have a light black line on nail
Male | 14
There are a few reasons why you might have that strange dark line on your nail. If you hurt your nail at all, even just a little bit, it could cause this. On the other hand, not having enough vitamins might also be the cause. Don’t worry if you feel fine and have no other symptoms besides the line, it’s not worth it. In case you do start feeling sick or notice anything else strange happening with your body, visit a dermatologist.

I have recurring blisters under and on the side of my foot. As one clears another few show up
Male | 35
Blisters that keep popping up could mean recurring blisters. They're small, liquid-filled pockets that repeatedly appear on feet. Tight shoes causing friction, sweat, or allergies might cause them. Wear comfy shoes to avoid them. Keep feet dry too. Use blister pads if needed. But see a dermatologist if they won't go away. They can suggest further treatment.

Hello this is Kalyan age 21 male, I've been fighting with acne for a period of 3years and even more. Tried different medications , remedies didn't worked, finally consulted a dermatologist, he recommended using Zitblow 10mg, it worked for an extent after being used for 1 years but the problem is there were still black heads on my cheeks which are stubborn and difficult to remove. I'm hoping to get some solution to the problem. Currently I'm not using any of the medications except for the cream called Acne star.
Male | 21
One of the leading causes of acne is that hair follicles get clogged with oil and dead skin cells. Acne results in blackheads which are the most ideal from the opening of the hair follicle. However, you can be sure that Zitblow 10mg is a really good option. The other options may contain a very gentle exfoliator to clear out the blackheads, but you need to be careful not to damage your skin. In addition, adhering to a really good skincare routine, exfoliating your face, and keeping it clean also can be beneficial to minimize the prospect of blackheads at an early stage.

Having acne near chin and its very painful and I am suffering it from 2 years and I am diagnosed with pcos but my periods are regular and my weight is under control
Female | 29
Acne close to your chin has a sharp pain for two years it can also be one of the symptoms of PCOS when you do not have irregular periods and your weight is fine. Hormone disruptors like PCOS are the cause of acne in the region of the chin. One thing to notice is that treatments with creams like salicylic acid, and laser resurfacing can be another option if you commit more to finding the right products for your skin. Not only antibiotics but also the ability of drugs to fight against PCOS by lifestyle changes leads to a reduction of acne too.

My skin is very oily and I get pimples on my face
Female | 22
Excess oil production causes oily skin. Clogged pores result in pimples - painful red bumps. Wash your face twice daily with gentle cleansers. Use oil-free products. Avoid excessive face touching. If problems persist, consult a dermatologist.

I have sebaceous cyst on my back with inflammation. doctor suggested for surgical removal. But I have keloid history, what treatment should I go for
Male | 32
Given your history with keloids, having the cyst surgically taken out could result in the formation of keloids. Keloids are raised scars that grow beyond the original injury site. Instead of opting for an operation, you may want to think about other alternatives such as steroid injections or laser therapy. These treatments can help to decrease inflammation and prevent the formation of keloids. It is important to talk about these options with a dermatologist so that you can choose the one that fits you best.

It' been one year skin infection on my face I use cream but never it goes away
Female | 43
For a year, your face battled an unwavering skin issue despite using cream. Bacteria, viruses, fungi - any could instigate such infections. Perhaps the cream proved ineffective, failing to address the root cause. Seeking a dermatologist's expertise would provide a precise diagnosis, unlocking the appropriate treatment path. Promptly resolving infections is crucial; neglecting them risks exacerbating the condition further.

Can I apply Tbact ointment on a wound in my hand
Female | 25
Taking care of a wound properly is important. Tbact ointment should only be used when there is an infection present. Notice signs like redness, warmth, or pus? If not, simply clean the wound using soap and water, bandaging it afterward. However, see a dermatologist if infection signs appear, for proper treatment.

I have been for four years keratosis pilaris How can I fix the skin problem?
Female | 20
Chicken skin is a condition where your skin feels bumpy, and rough, like sandpaper. Keratin buildup blocks hair follicles, causing this. Using mild cleansers helps. Moisturize often. Gentle exfoliation smooths bumps. Lactic acid or urea products reduce roughness. It's common but usually improves gradually.

Male | 17
Taking care of your skin is not very complex; just following the simple steps of a daily skincare routine can give you the best results. Wash your face with mild cleansers twice a day, moisturize your face daily, and use sunscreen as sun protection is paramount. For clear and healthy skin, make an appointment with a dermatologist.

My son is 4.5 years and is having skin rashes since 1 year, in his knee, back, lower stomach and underarms. We have consulted skin specialist and applied futibact, tacroz and neoaporin ointments, but once we stop futibact the rashes return after a week and increase
Male | 4
The boy seems to have atopic dermatitis also called as atopic eczema. The care is utmost important in his case as the skin is dry and prone to rashes as well as infection. steps should be taken to keep his skin moist at all times. Start by oiling him before bath, use mild cleansers, and apply moisturizers immediately after bath so as to retain water and seal it inside his skin. The flutibact is for immediate reduction of rashes. Start using tacrolimus cream once a week to prevent further rashes. The flutibact is a steroid and antibiotic combination cream, and therefore has to be used judiciously. Please meet a pediatric dermatologist for more information regarding this problem

I'm female just turned 40 For 3 months now my neck and chest has been sweating like crazy, I have an angry itchy red rash all over my neck and chest also. I did have a blood test. I only drink water and eat healthy I just need to find our what is the best thing to clear up my rash and this itchiness please! It's depressing me so much I don't even want to leave my house
Female | 40
The sweating and rash on your neck and chest, as well as high cholesterol and glucose levels, are all symptoms that can be associated with a condition known as diabetes. The numbness and pins and needles in your feet are evidence supporting this. To clear up the rash and itchiness, sugar level management is the major thing. Healthy eating and physical activity can be wonderful alternatives to start with. A visit to a dermatologist is essential for an accurate diagnosis and treatment strategy.

Suggest me supplements for skin whitening. Means body complextion
Female | 22
If you are seeking supplements to make your skin brighter, you might find vitamin C and collagen a good option. Vitamin C may balance the skin tone and accelerate collagen growth which results in the skin being more luminous. Collagen is key to keeping your skin strong and smooth. However, don't forget that supplements are most efficient when accompanied by a healthy lifestyle characterized by drinking lots of water and eating plenty of fruits and veggies.
