Why Do I Have Rashes?

I'm 68 years old, I have rashesh

1 Answer

Answered on 10th Oct '24

The rashes are an external factor of the skin and can appear as if they are caused by itchy skin or red-bumpy skin. They can be triggered by things like allergies, infections, or skin disorders. For the sake of cleanness, let your skin be clean and dry. Also, make use of mild moisturizers. If it's not getting any improvement, it's better to refer to a dermatologist.

I need a healthy clear and a glowing skin so what products or treatments should I opt for

Female | 26

For healthy skin, cleanse daily and avoid harsh irritants. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, as dehydration can make your skin look dull. Eat fruits and vegetables to get the nutrients your skin needs. Protect your skin from the sun by applying sunscreen every day. Clear, radiant skin comes from gentle cleansing, proper hydration, a nourishing diet, and sun protection.

Hello! I am 29-year-old female, got stung by a jellyfish on 6th September in my right leg, pain was quite severe, we went to the emergency, I got some painkillers, now I use local and oral antihistamines, but the scars are still there and sometimes there is swelling and itching. No pain anymore. What else should I do? Is local methylprednisolone a good idea? Can I go to the swimming pool and/or run?

Female | 29

Jellyfish stings are common and can leave scars, swelling, and itching even after the pain subsides. Applying antihistamine creams can help with itching and oral antihistamines are recommended for swelling. If symptoms persist, a local methylprednisolone injection may be considered. It's best to avoid swimming and running until the scars heal to prevent further irritation.

Can I take glutathione for skin whitening

Male | 15

Glutathione isn't FDA approved for skin lightening.. Limited research available.. Possible side effects.. Discuss with doctor.. it is IMPORTANT to note that the use of glutathione for skin lightening comes with SERIOUS risks.. While it is MARKETED as a "natural" alternative to traditional skin lightening treatments, there is NO conclusive evidence to support its effectiveness.. The FDA HAS NOT approved glutathione for skin lightening purposes, which means that its safety and effectiveness have NOT been thoroughly tested

I am using salicylic acid cleanser and niacinamide serum. Does using orange peel paste once a week affects skin or will it get along with salicylic acid and niacinamide skin care routine

Female | 22

This is a safe approach if you include orange peel paste in your skin care regime once per week. However, one must be aware that it could irritate or sensitize the skin in some cases. Be sure to do a patch test with the orange peel paste before using it along side salicylic acid cleanser and niacinamide serumand if any adverse reaction occurs, then stop its use.

My boyfriend has an infected wound in his calf which started of as a small itchy spot that later became a red spot and later an infected wound that's made his the surrounding area swollen right down to his ankles. The glands in his groin are now painful too. Please advise what type of antibiotic would be suitable for this?

Male | 41

Your boyfriend may have a severe skin infection that’s spreading. The redness, swelling, and pain—coupled with swollen glands in the groin—indicate that it might be a bacterial infection. To cure this, he may require a course of antibiotics such as penicillin or cephalosporin which can help to fight off the infection. It is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible to avoid further complications.
