Its generally considered normal and not a cause for concern. It can occur when the blood takes longer to leave the uterus and partially oxidizes.

had sex on 29 June 2024 after sex I had started heavy bleeding and now 5 days complete bleeding is not stop iam also a pcod patient so between the treatment of that periods is also not come so why bleeding is not stop I also use to reduce bleeding tranexamic acid ip mg 500 5 tablet from yesterday morning to till but it is also not working
Female | 19
It does indeed sound as if you are having heavy bleeding following sex, which you say has been going on for five days. The fact that you have PCOD means that this is associated with too much blood. The disease can sometimes lead to this kind of strange bleeding. You might need to use the drug you are taking for more time to get it to work. In an instance where the bleeding doesn't seem to decrease or feels heavier, it's essential to leave the direction and evaluation of a gynecologist.

Female | 25
Based on your description, it's important to consult a gynecologist as soon as possible. They can determine the cause of your irregular periods and heavy bleeding. This could be due to various reasons, including hormonal changes or possibly a miscarriage. It's crucial to get a proper diagnosis and appropriate medical advice from a gynecologist.

I'm 21 years old female, I'm facing delay in my periods for 8-9 days. I had protected sex but still I'm not getting my periods. My pregnancy test was negetive. What may be the reason for not getting my periods?
Female | 21
Sometimes it happens that a period might be delayed. Stress, falling weight, or hormonal changes can be the factors behind it. If you had safe sex, and the test showed no pregnancy, it is most unlikely to get pregnant. Thyroid issues, PCOS, and too much exercise could also be the other reasons to delay periods. Try to ease, eat healthily, and work off weight. If this continues, make an appointment with a gynecologist.

I am 28 days late on my period and my cycle is normally regular. I was meant to get my period around 1 August. My last period was around 1-6 July. I had intercourse on 20 and 21 July. 2 weeks ago, I had period-like pain and took a Clear Blue test. It came back negative. This was 17 August and I had some light spotting (brown and then red), but it was only when I wiped myself. Nothing more. Then on 20 August, I took another test, this time a digital Clear Blue one, it was also negative. Then 23 August, I took another and it was negative. It was a generic Dischem test. Then 24 August, I took another Clear Blue test and it was negative. On 26 August, I had some breast pain and tummy discomfort that felt like light tummy bug. I took 2 tests at different times - one Generic test from a chemist and one Safecare bio-tech rapid response. Both negative. On 28 August, I just took another test, it was another Safecare rapid response. Also negative. So far, I have taken 7 tests, all negative.
Female | 30
If you're 28 days late and still getting negative test results, it's less likely you're pregnant. Stress, weight fluctuations, and hormonal imbalance may be responsible for the delayed menses. Sometimes, the organism requires additional time to readjust. If you are worried, going to a gynecologist for a check-up can make you feel better.

Why brown discharge happened from a week?
Female | 36
A discharge of brown blood which happens for about a week sometimes indicates an old blood loss from your body. This may at times be quite normal like after a period or if one has begun with birth control pills. Meanwhile, if the smell is unpleasant, if you get a feeling of discomfort, or if the problem persists, it is necessary to talk to another adult like your parents about visiting a gynecologist.

But take into account the possibility of getting pregnant even if you’re on any other birth control method in case you’ve had sexual intercourse. There are various signs of pregnancy, some may include missed periods, nausea or feeling sick, being tired all the time, or having sore breasts. To clear your doubts or worries you can do a test, take one. On the other hand, it is important to always talk to your gynecologists.

i am on my periods right now! My left breasts looks little bigger than right one! Theres no lump nothing kind of that, no redness as well! Why is that so? Is this normal?
Female | 19
It is not unusual to notice the size of your breast fluctuate due to hormonal cycle changes. Lumps or masses in the breasts may not always have to be the same size but in case of a sudden change, this should be reported to a gynecologist or a specialist in breast disease as a precaution against any underlying disorders.

I’m 18 female. I just moved into a dorm. I noticed my breast by the nipple was tender and red all around it with a lump under the nipple. The lump is still there but the redness and most pain went away. This Is now happening to the other. Why? And will it gob away on its own most likely?
Female | 18
You may be facing a common problem called breast bud development. This is when the breast tissue is growing and changing, which can lead to tenderness, redness, and lumps under the nipple. It's a normal thing that mostly happens during puberty and passes on its own as your body gets used to it. You should keep the area clean and wear comfortable clothing to ease any discomfort.

My name is amina I m 40 years old having 14 years of married life I have only one child but further I couldn't conceive now I have hemorrhagic cysts both ovaries I feel sever sharp pain in lower abdomen can't bear what you suggest treatment is surgery or through medicine???plz guide me
Female | 49
The size and intensity of the cysts determine the course of treatment. In case the cysts are large or causing too much pain, surgery might be necessary. However, smaller cysts can sometimes be managed by taking drugs that reduce pain and monitoring them for growth over time. It would be best for you to visit a gynecologist who will carry out a thorough assessment and come up with a treatment plan that is tailored to your specific case.

Hi I have taken pregnancy tests and they’ve come back negative.. I have irregular periods but within the last week I’ve noticed my boobs have gotten harder, my lower tummy is tender and hard, I’ve had awful mood swings and I’m very emotional, and I’m always hungry
Female | 25
Symptoms you may be experiencing can be due to hormonal changes, which may not be indicative of pregnancy. An irregular period can cause the hormone levels to fluctuate, leading to tender breasts, bloating, and mood swings. Stress, diet, and lack of exercise can also be the reasons why your body is affected this way. Try managing stress, eating healthy, and gentle exercise to help balance your hormones.
