I am a 36 year old male with a rash on his peenis and it's sore
Male | 35
You may have a rash on your penis. The rash and soreness can be linked with several conditions such as a fungal infection or skin irritation caused by soaps or detergents, to name a few. If you want to help, try to keep the area clean and dry, avoid strange products, wear loose cotton underwear, and try an antifungal cream from the pharmacy. If it does not get better, see a dermatologist.

I am 29 years old female suffering from ringworm/ bacterial scalp infection. I have consulted family doctor. He suggested flucolab -150 and some other medicine too. I am worried about hair fall and bald patches on skin. Please recommend shampoo to reduce redness and infection
Female | 29
Bacterial infection and ringworm are two different things. Ringworm is fungal infection that presents rings generally over the areas where there is more sweating like thigh area, under the breast or armpit area and that is to be treated by anti-fungal medication for long time like 1-2 months. Bacterial infection is the one which is present with the puss and boils and has to be treated with antibiotics. Fungal infection on the scalp is very uncommon in adults and its only a problem of pre-school children. Proper diagnosis is required for the treatment to work. Consult a dermatologist for the same.

There is a sudden development of a black coloured lump on my lips . Can you please give me details of this
Male | 52
Several factors can cause black lumps. It's sometimes a self-resolving harmless blood blister that happens when you accidentally bite your lip or something more serious like skin cancer. Anyway, always be alert to the piece of the lump being uncomfortable, bloody, or growing in size. It's better to seek counseling from a physician to be cautious.

Hello I have nose Whitehead
Male | 25
It is typical for the nose to have whiteheads. These are the things that we, the people, call tiny white spots and that are the result of oil and dead skin cells that have clogged pores. Might be you just have oily skin or acne. Whereas a gentle cleanser will be enough to remove dirt from your face when you wash your face twice a day. Do not squeeze out the whiteheads to avoid infection. Non-comedogenic products should be used, and you may visit a dermatologist for more recommendations.

Hlw sir .my face is black head problem
Male | 24
It may be a case where you have a lot of blackheads on your face, but it's not the case. Blackheads are little, dark lumps that come to the skin when hair follicles get clogged with too much oil and dead skin cells. You may realize that they are small, black superficial bumps. To solve this problem, cleanse your face regularly with a mild cleanser and use salicylic acid products to open your pores. Also, avoid squeezing or picking as it can cause more problems on the skin. Instead, if you have a problem with them, you should consult a dermatologist for a solution.

I have got red tiny tiny spots on my arch of the foot
Female | 23
You might be dealing with petechiae– tiny red spots caused by small bleeds under the skin. These can show up when you have been, say, pushing too hard while on the toilet. Certain infections and some meds can also produce them. To get rid of petechiae hang loose, put your feet up often, and wear loose well-fitting shoes. In case these suggestions don’t help or other things are bothering you… get in touch with a dermatologist.

I have acne all over my face... It has been 3 years since I have acne... My acnes has pus and blood filled inside.. I am currently using topical benzoyl peroxide... Before i had a course of ezythromycin but I guess it didn’t work... Please prescribe me some medicine
Male | 15
What happens with acne is hair follicles get blocked with oil and dead skin cells. Acne filled with pus or blood means that it is infected. When it comes to treating them, using topical benzoyl peroxide is quite helpful while for severe cases, oral antibiotics such as doxycycline may be necessary. Make sure you continue your treatment regularly and keep your face clean so as not to get more pimples. You can also visit a dermatologist for further treatment.

I am having a fever since yesterday and red rashes come out, then they go away and come back but still I am having trouble getting up
Female | 23
You might have a viral infection causing your fever and red rashes. That the rashes go away and come back may be a sign that the virus is still present. Through this, you will be able to alleviate the symptoms. Moreover, you can take a pill such as acetaminophen for your fever. If it doesn't get better in a couple of days, a dermatologist might have to see you.

External haemorrhoids without pain . But has some mass that doesn’t itch or makes it any hard for bowel moment .. suggest me some cream
Female | 21
If it is true that you have external hemorrhoids, then it means those swollen blood vessels around your back passage are the ones to blame. They may be harmless, but you feel that a bulging mass. This could be the case as well due to straining when having a bowel movement, pregnancy, or sitting in one position for a long time. To make your pain less severe, you can use the medication for hemorrhoids which you can buy without a prescription, or use ointments such as Preparation H. Spread it out over the affected area as the label says. Don't forget to include high-fiber foods in your diet, drink a lot of water, and try to be active. If the condition continues or worsens, go to a gastroenterologist for a thorough examination and advice.

Besides that, put on shoes that won't hurt your feet. If the issue persists, consult a dermatologist for professional guidance.

Female | 45
Yes, Montelukast sodium and fexofenadine hydrochloride are two of the medications used to cure skin allergies. Skin allergy patients usually get symptoms like itching, redness, and rashes. They perform this role by impeding the action of those substances on the parasympathetic nervous system. Consult an allergist before starting these medications for your skin allergies.

Dear Dr. Ganesh Avhad, My name is Dr. Katarina Popovic. I am writing to you on behalf of my cousin who has a medical condition where your expertise would be appreciated. My cousin is a male in his early forties. Twelve years ago he was diagnosed with Acne keloidalis nuchae. There were three operative attempts to remove the acne, he was on various antibiotic therapies, also a therapy with Volon ampoules - all without any improvement. The acne are often bleeding. We were wondering if you have any recommendation for my cousin’s treatment. Looking forward to hearing from you. Best, Dr. Katarina Popovic
Male | 43
Acne keloidalis nuchae is characterized by the emergence of bumpy and painful acne on the back of the head and neck. This is a result of inflammation of the hair follicles. A dermatologist may recommend laser therapy or steroid injections to minimize inflammation for treatment. It is also advisable to keep the area clean to avoid infections.

i have some acne on my chin
Female | 13
Pimples often appear on the chin area when skin pores get blocked. Obstructed pores trap excess oil and dead cells. Red bumps, whiteheads, and blackheads form. Hormones, stress, and certain foods contribute. Gently wash your face twice daily. Don't squeeze pimples. Use benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid products. Eat nutritious foods, and drink adequate water. These steps can improve acne on your chin.

I'm having big stretch marks on body.
Female | 20
Stretch marks are common and appear when the skin is stretched significantly. They can be purple, red, or silver, depending on how long they’ve been there. Causes include rapid growth, weight changes, and pregnancy. Solutions include using moisturizers, and creams, and maintaining a healthy weight. While they usually fade over time, they may not completely disappear.

I have applied persol forte cream for 3 days on my face, due to which dark patches have appeared on my face. On those dark patches no pimples are coming.. what I use to remove that dark patches ?
Female | 23
I would firstly advise you to please stop using persol forte cream immediately and consult an experienced dermatologist for your issue. The dermatologist will examine your condition and will suggest the most appropriate treatment accordingly which may include oral medications, topical treatments and lifestyle changes. You may also be asked to undergo some additional tests to rule out any underlying medical problem. Thanks.

Female | 23
For whiteheads, you can use retinoid cream or gel. And for large pores, exfoliating scrub or a clay mask can be helpful as they help reduce the size of pores. Moisturizers and sunscreen( atleast 30 SPF) can also be useful to keep your skin healthy.

Male | 17
It looks like you have a sore on your finger. A sore is red and puffy. It might have black or yellow stuff. This means germs got in a cut. To help, keep it clean and dry. You may need medicine if it does not get better. Do not pop it by yourself. Just cover it until you see a dermatologist.
