long time skin fungal infection
Cosmetologist
Answered on 23rd May '24
Keeping the infected regions clean and dry helps speed up healing. These infections happen when tiny organisms called fungi grow on your skin. They can make your skin red, itchy, and scaly. Often appear in warm and moist areas, like between your toes or in your groin. If your infection still doesn't go away, visit a dermatologist as soon as possible.

I have problem of dark underarms and dark knees
Female | 21
For a very dry and sensitive skin, start a niacinamide based gel to calm the skin .change the face wash to a gentle one, rather than a glow providing one. Post that apply the niacinamide. then use acne moisturizer and then sunscreen for acne prone skin. If this doesn't help you you can consult a dermatologist for skin lightening treatment.

acutally i have pimples and the dark sports made by pimple so how can i reduce it and make skin glow
Female | 16
Pimples and dark spots are very common and trouble a lot of people. The oil and bacteria are responsible for the development of pimples on the skin that result in inflammation. If the acne clears, the spots will be left behind. To treat them, use a mild face wash, don't pop your pimples, and use creams that contain retinol or vitamin C. Moreover, for healthy skin wear sunscreen every day.

How many hair is good for transplant and how i should be caring? explain some major factor behind hair fall and ways to control it.
Male | 28
The number and type of graft you get will depend on your hair type, quality, color, and the size of the area where you will be getting the transplant. In general, the number of grafts for FUE hair transplant in one sitting of 6-8 hours, can go up to 2500-3000.
If you have a higher level of baldness, then you might need another session. However, it's the doctor who will decide how many grafts will be transplanted each day. You can reach out to me or any other dermatologist for hair transplant in Bangalore, or other cities wherever you reside.

A rash without itchiness or pain seems harmless, yet various factors could cause it. It might stem from a fungal infection, eczema, or contact dermatitis. However, some non-itchy rashes indicate more severe underlying issues. To ensure proper diagnosis and treatment, consulting a dermatologist remains the safest bet.

You seem to have a long-lasting pimple, known as a cyst. These pimples linger, painful, and deep within the skin. To aid healing, gently cleanse the area. Don't squeeze or pick at it. After two years, the cyst persists. Seeking advice from a dermatologist is recommended if discomfort continues.

Male | 16
You’re battling with hair thinning, hair loss, and dandruff at only 16. Stress, poor diet, or genetics can cause hair to get thin and fall out. Dandruff is often because of dry skin on your head or another condition that affects the scalp. Use a mild shampoo for dandruff and eat well for healthier hair growth. Male | 25
If you notice fever blisters on your face, it's likely caused by the HSV-1 virus, which is highly contagious through touch. These blisters can come and go, sometimes causing pain. Taking tablets like Acyclovir can help ease the symptoms and speed up healing. It's crucial not to pop or touch the blisters to prevent spreading the virus. Keep the affected area dry and clean to avoid infection. Visiting a dermatologist for proper treatment is a good idea.

Female | 25
Hair loss can be caused by stress, hormonal imbalances, or health issues like PCOS. In your case, the shedding might be related to these factors. The good news is that it should improve as your menstrual cycle regulates. Eating well, managing stress, and self-care will help your hair grow back stronger.

I have a rectangular patch of swelling or inflammation on my lower leg. It is about 4 inches in length and 3 inches in width. It has a small lump inside of it as well. I do not feel any pain nor do I think it is tender. I’ve had it for maybe about 5 or 6 moths and it has now gotten any smaller or bigger. The only medication I’ve. even taking is unisom for a few years now for insomnia and now for nausea because I am about 6 weeks pregnant. I also take prenatal. Why might I have these swelling/inflammation?
Female | 21
You may have a lipoma, a lump of fat lies beneath the skin. It is painless, harmless. Its size remains constant, generally. Your medications likely didn't cause it. Still, seek a doctor's examination for confirmation. If it grows, changes color, or brings pain, definitely consult a dermatologist.

It sounds like you may have eczema, a common skin condition that can cause itching, redness, and irritation. To determine if this is the case, you should see a dermatologist. The dermatologist can recommend an appropriate treatment plan that may include topical medications, light therapy, or oral medications. Additionally, lifestyle changes can help to manage symptoms including avoiding potential triggers, wearing loose fitting clothing, and using a humidifier in your home.
