Answered on 23rd May '24
Sun tan is quite common because of unprotected sun exposure. This is because of excess production of melanin or excess accumulation of melanin in the skin layers in response to UV rays. Moles are formed due to arrest of melanin producing cells in skin layers where they continue to produce melanin which collects to form flat or raised moles. Tan can be treated by using certain depigmenting creams which contain glycolic acid, kojicacid, alpha arbutin etc which have to be used under the supervision of a qualified dermatologist. Procedural treatment like chemical peels and laser toning with QS yag laser can help. Most important is religious use of sunscreens to prevent further tan and improvement of skin. Moles can be treated by radiofrequency ablation, punch excision or Q-switched yag laser. So please consult a qualified Dermatologist.

I am 37 years old female suffering from sticky skin syndrome .my whole skin becomes sticky.i am not getting any treatment bcoz doctors are clueless about this condition.i don't know emwhich redirection create this symptoms.i need help doctor who can treat me in india
Female | 37
This could be a case of hyperhidrosis, a condition where the body produces more sweat than normal. Sticky skin may also occur in humid weather or when one is sweating excessively. You can try using antiperspirants or powders to keep the skin dry. Drink plenty of water and put on loose-fitting clothes made from breathable materials. If the stickiness persists, it would be best to consult with a dermatologist who will provide personalized advice and treatment options.

I have acne scars which topical creams are best to use
Male | 24
Topical creams having retinoids, glycolic acid, and vitamin C are quite helpful in fading away the appearance of the scars. Nevertheless, you need to confer with a dermatologist if you are going to opt for a skin cream and the specialist can guide you with a better treatment plan that is unique to your type of skin and the extent of your scars.

I am a 22 year old sexually inactive lady. I get brownish discharge from my vagina, sometimes non-foul thick whitish discharge as well. My recent problem however is the appearance of bumps on my mons pubis. I initial thought it was shaving bumps but more painful ones are developing. I started using aloe Vera and vitamin c oil to moisturize, the appearance has gotten better, but the bumps are still there. What can I do?
Female | 22
There is a possibility that you had mid-pubic hair ingrown or folliculitis. These could arise from shaving or continuous rubbing against the garment. The brownish, and whitish discharge is probably the result of a different condition. To treat the bumps, you can use warm compresses and stop shaving until they improve. You should see a dermatologist if they last for a long time or if they become worse.

Hello Its look like a rashes on foreskin of my penis and dryness what should i use
Male | 27
It sounds like you may have a skin problem on your penis known as balanitis. Red rashes and dryness on the foreskin could be caused by this. It can result from poor hygiene; being irritated by certain soaps, detergents, or even a yeast infection. Thoroughly clean it with warm water and mild soap slowly and then apply fragrance-free moisturizer. If it doesn't improve, contact a dermatologist.

I am suffering from ringworm from last 4 months I have used so many creame but not use, can please suggest powerful treatment for ringworm for short duration
Male | 18
Ringworm is persistent and tough to treat. It is a fungal infection causing circular, red, itchy patches on the skin. This fungus thrives in warm, damp environments. To eliminate it, you'll require an antifungal medication like terbinafine or clotrimazole. Keep the affected area clean and dry. Consistent use of the medication for two weeks should help resolve it.

I'm a 19 year old female and i have noticed a growth on my urethra (or around it, im not sure). I first noticed it around 8-10 months ago and it was pink tissue and had a regular surface so i thought it was part of my urethra and that tiny part is falling off so i did not care much bout it. I've been having some discomfort since yesterday and I just noticed its become black now and attached to my urethra with a thin tissue (thats how it was when i first noticed as well). I do not know if its normal or if its something to be concerned bout.
Female | 19
You should know that discolored and rough areas of the skin down there can mean different things. Various causes could explain your situation, for example, a possible infection or a tumor has been mentioned. Pain or discomfort is a common symptom among these cases. My advice is to visit a dermatologist to get a correct diagnosis and the appropriate course of action.

So about a week ago i was prescribed some antibiotics for my UTI. He also prescribed me fluconazole in case the antibiotics he gave caused a yeast infection. I kinda noticed the antibiotics wasn’t helping bc it was still hurting when i urinate and during sexual intercourse along with it still being red down there and so i took the fluconazole last night and a few before i took it i noticed like 3 red bump like things in the left side crease of my private, i was bit scared of what it might be, i woke up it didn’t look as bad but there was a few more. it has been itching bc of the yeast infect and it hasn’t been itching these past two days but im a little nervous on what the little bumps could be. could it maybe be from the yeast infection or sweat bumps or what
Female | 18
Perhaps you have a yeast infection or a fungal infection in the private area. Yeast infections can cause redness, itching, and sometimes small bumps. These bumps are most likely due to the infection and not sweat bumps. To help this, complete your prescribed fluconazole and ensure the area is clean and dry. Avoid tight clothing and wear cotton underwear. If the symptoms do not go away or get more severe, it’s always good to check with your urologist.

The reasons for this could be cysts, trapped hairs, and infections. The lumps may hurt, and feel swollen. Don't ignore it -and see a dermatologist. After checking, treatment might include medicine. Or even surgery, depending what's causing lumps.

Hello , I'm a 42yrs old male, having itching problems on my private areas since a couple of days needs a proper remedy pls help.
Male | 42
Your problem is itching in the intimate areas, which can be frustrating. Some of the causes of itching could be a skin condition, such as a fungal infection or an allergic reaction to soap or detergent. Using a gentle soap and wearing loose-fitting clothes might help you deal with the itching. Additionally, you can use a lightweight, fragrance-free lotion to calm the skin. However, if the problem persists, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist for more guidance and appropriate therapy.

She is 25year female have a bump seems like a large pimple just under jawline (4-5cm in diameter) its hurting and been there for 4 days now
Female | 25
The bump that is under your jawline could be a swollen lymph node. They typically appear as warm, reddish, and sore. Treating it at home, you can soak warm compresses in the area and maintain cleanliness. If the condition doesn't get better in a few days or worsens, you might have to visit a dermatologist for other treatments.

Salmon patches on her face from her birth so i m worried about and how its solve problem
Female | 3months
Those light pink or red patches on your baby's face which are also known as salmon patches are quite common and usually nothing for parents to panic about. They occur when small blood vessels are near the skin. No need for treatment as they usually disappear on their own by the time the child is 1 to 2 years. Simply keep the area clean and protect against direct sunlight.

I am 30 years old. I had bumbs after shaving. Few weeks later it turned to sore and start spreading around my penis cap. Now I have open wounds and sore on my penis cap but it's not scratching or itching me. It's just there normal but spreading Please I need someone to tell me what to do????????
Male | 30
You may have a skin infection on your penis cap, which can occur after shaving. The bumps which get transformed to open wounds and are spreading could be a sign of a bacterial or fungal infection. Even though it's not itching, it's still important to get it checked by a dermatologist. The medicine might be antibiotics or antifungal cream for it to be better. Make sure you keep the area of the body clean and dry to avoid the further spreading of the infection.

I am 26 year old male and have face black skin present I have Medisalic ointment used
Male | 26
You might be experiencing a condition called hyperpigmentation, which is when some of the skin is darker. Medisalic ointment might not be the right move since it has powerful steroids that may have adverse effects on your skin. I suggest quitting the ointment and soothing your skin with a gentle moisturizer. Additional tip - sun protection - you can cover your skin with a hat or sunscreen. If the issue persists, it's best to seek advice from a dermatologist.

Skin redness without itching
Male | 20
If your skin turns red without feeling itchy, there might be a few causes. This redness can happen when your skin is sensitive to what touches it such as some fabrics or lotions. It may also result from temperature changes or stress. Use gentle fragrance-free products on your skin and keep it hydrated. Visit a dermatologist if the redness continues or gets worse.

Hair loss among teenagers can be caused by different factors such as stress, bad nutrition, or some medical conditions. Do you detect more hair than usual lying on the pillow or in the shower? Start eating a balanced diet, managing your stress, and being gentle with your hair. If it still happens, visit a dermatologist.
