Why am I experiencing greenish discharge and burning urination?

Oky I am 20 years old, and am currently experiencing some greenish discharge from my penis and a little burning when urinating. Kindly prescribe a medicine to deal with this

You are likely suffering from a urinary tract infection, which can lead to a greenish discharge from your penis and a burning sensation when you urinate. You could try attempting to use the antibiotics ciprofloxacin to treat the infection. Be sure to drink enough water and take it easy. Medication should be taken until the end even if the patient starts to feel better. If your symptoms persist, it is advisable to visit a urologist to obtain the correct prescription.

I have urinary tract infection from past 6 days ....as I'm taking syrup...but it's paining severely while urinating... frequency of urination occurs....

Female | 21

If you are having burning pain, and frequent urination with a possibility of kidney infection, then it could be the reason. However, UTIs are usually caused by bacteria that have already entered the urethra. If the infection is some complicated type, you might require antibiotics to clear it up.

Pimple on penis shaft, not blister. Normal?

Male | 42

These pimples usually result from blocked hair follicles or sweat glands and generally are not indicative of bigger issues. But if you are concerned visit a urologist for further discussion

I'm a 65 year old healthy male who has had urinary incontinence issues for the past 20 years. I've seen 8 urologist and they found no obvious reason. Could be nerve damage, and most of my life suffered from UTI's. Scarring and distended bladder. Medication and typical treatments have not worked. Over the past 5 years it has gotten worse and I can no longer manage with high absorbency diapers, intermittent catheters offered some protection, however, I experienced too many accidents with uncontrollable voiding. I have no sensation my bladder is full. For the past year I've been using an indwelling catheter with great success. I'm concerned about permanently damaging my bladder muscle. I tried using the valve method and timing when to empty my bladder. However, I always have to wear a diaper because 99% of the time urine leaks around the catheter. I'm very comfortable and active using an indwelling catheter. I feel I now have a normal life. Part of me doesn't care if using an indwelling catheter causes irreversible incontinence. Is there a study that concludes a high percentage of indwelling catheter user will lose complete bladder control after 1, 2, or 3 years. I'm willing to plan periods of time to switch to diapers for a couple of months to allow the bladder to heal, but I'm skeptical this is a solution.

How to cure from chronic protatis

Male | 25

Chronic prostatitis brings pain in the pelvic area or when urinating. It causes frequent urination and difficulty emptying the bladder completely. Bacterial infections or inflammation of the prostate gland often cause it. If a bacterial infection exists, antibiotics treat it. Warm baths, drinking plenty of fluids, avoiding irritants like caffeine helps manage symptoms too. Follow your doctor's advice for proper treatment always.

What are the reasons for urine leakage? How do we identify that there is a leakage or vaginal discharge?

Female | 33

Urinary incontinence, urinary tract infection overactive bladder or weak pelvic muscles are the condition which can causes leakage of urine. Consultation with a urologist or gynecologist is necessary to diagnose the basic cause and give proper treatment. In contrast, vaginal discharge is a normal natural function that can vary in color and texture throughout the menstrual cycle. A visit to a gynecologist would help the doctor identify any abnormal discharge and treat it.

I am also suffering from frequent & incomplete urination in the night, and have been diagnosed with BPH, wherein the urine comes out in a trickle, and I am unable to empty the bladder. This causes sleep deprivation. I am suffering this since long. In this case also I have tried many medicines, and now I am taking 1 tablet after breakfast and 1 in night. I have tested positive for prostate enlargement , and PSA tests are. negative. The last sonography test in February 2021, has shown prostate @40 gms Tablet Dynapres 0.4 1-0-0 Tablet Max Void 8 0-0-1

More detailed history and tests like Uroflowmetry and Ultrasound with Post void residual measurement will give accurate diagnosis. If it’s BPH only and not improving with medicines then might need a surgical treatment. There could be other reasons like urethral stricture or high bladder neck which is also dealt surgically.

Hello sir. This is Senthil kumar from Porur Chennai. I got circumcised 8 years back at SRMC. Since last three days I am suffering from itching and burning sensation in penis head. pls suggest medicine

Male | 35

It needs to be examined before any ointment is suggested. if it’s just fungal Infection then might just do with anti fungal ointment, if any inflammatory lesion then needs to know the reason behind it. Rare cases if long term redness then might need a biopsy.

I would like to enquire about total cost for Vasectomy surgery.

Male | 33

The cost of Vasectomy surgery varies based on location and clinic. In India, the cost ranges from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 40,000. It is a permanent form of birth control, but doesn't prevent STIs, so use condoms as well!
