Answered on 18th Oct '24
Palmoplantar psoriasis is a disease that affects your palms and the skin under your toes making them red, scaly, and itchy. It is a result of the immune system mistakenly attacking healthy skin cells. For the treatment, use moisturizers and gentle soap, cotton gloves, and socks. Your dermatologist may also recommend you apply creams or do light therapy.

I suddenly move Rajasthan here temprature 48° my full body back sunburn skin damage and full body itching and pimples redness please suggest me best cream and moisturizer for speedy recovery
Male | 26
This happens when the sun’s rays damage your skin; it makes it turn red and sometimes itch or even have bumps that look like pimples. A mild lotion containing aloe plus some moisturizer should be applied frequently to speed up treatment. For now, however, take much fluid since this will help speed up recovery too; rest in a cool place without being exposed again until things get better.

I have swollen thumb fingertip yellow hard skin on affected area and tender on other part very painfull
Male | 28
An infection seems likely in your thumb. Swelling, thick yellow skin, and soreness are symptoms. Cuts or scrapes allowing bacteria entry can cause this. As treatment, gently cleanse with soap and water. Apply antibiotic ointment, then bandage. Consult a dermatologist if no improvement occurs.

It’s been over a week almost 2 weeks the rash I have under my armpits still itch and seems to be not getting better I don’t see my doctor until march 14 and I dont consider this an emergency for me to go to the ER I’ve tried putting on antibodics cream and Benadryl cream and burn relief gel with lidocaine and it seems to not be helping I haven’t shaved or put any deodorant on what else do you recommend I can put on to help with the itching ? Or what else could it be since it’s not getting better
Female | 33
Under your armpits, you seem to have a persistent rash. Your description suggests intertrigo, a fungal infection. When skin rubs together and moisture gets trapped, fungi can thrive. To ease itching, try an over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream. Keep the area clean and dry. Avoid tight clothes. Use a gentle, unscented soap. If the rash persists, your dermatologist may prescribe an antifungal cream.

I have been taking Cefoclox XL twice a day for the last 7 days for a boil on my back. The boil has almost disappeared, but not completely. Should I continue taking Cefoclox?
Male | 73
It's good to hear that the boil has almost disappeared, but since it's not completely gone, it's important to consult a doctor before continuing the medication. Visit a dermatologist, as they can assess your condition and advise whether you need to continue Cefoclox or consider other treatments.

I have been taking medicine for vitiligo since long time. Recently I changed my medicine to new medication and now vitiligo is started to spread aggressively. What is the reason ?
Male | 37
The new medicine might react abnormally. This could mean your vitiligo spread aggressively. Your doctor needs updates like these. Each person reacts differently, so treatment needs adjustments over time. Finding the right medication takes trial and error. Keep your dermatologist informed about any drastic changes.

I am 17 years old . My hair line is receding.
Male | 17
Several factors, such as genetics, hormones, or stress can cause this. If you see your hairline moving backwards and becoming thin, it is important to take care of it by eating well, avoiding too much stress, and being gentle when you style it. Sometimes it may also be useful to speak with a dermatologist to learn how to manage it better.

I Am 28 yr old. I get red marks on upper body(shoulders). Those are not painful and they get disappeared within 3 or 4 days.
Female | 28
Your issue might be dermatological, likely due to allergies, skin irritation, or insect bites. Fabrics or detergents used in washing could also be triggers. Try to identify what causes the red marks most often. If you notice a consistent reaction, consider avoiding the drug entirely. Consulting a dermatologist can help diagnose and treat the root cause effectively.

I was 26. I was obese. Recently i found crack on my under foot in upper part.
Female | 26
You are suffering from cracked heels. One of the reasons cracked heels can appear is if your skin gets very dry or if you’re carrying extra weight. Cracked heels are painful and may even bleed. To assist, you can consider using a gentle moisturizer on your feet daily and wearing comfortable shoes. However, if the cracks are too deep or the wounds are slow to heal, it is advisable to visit a dermatologist.

I am an 18 year old iam female I got pimples on right and left side of face up to jaw line why it is? Can I send you picture
Female | 18
You’re having breakouts on both sides of your face down to your jawline. This is called acne, and it’s very common for people your age. If a person gets acne, it is because their hair follicles are plugged with oil and dead skin cells. When a person reaches puberty, their body releases hormones that can cause this to happen. To improve your condition, you can wash your face with a mild soap and try not to touch it too often. If it bothers you a lot, you should go see a dermatologist who might suggest using some ointments or drugs that are put on the skin (topical).

I am using minoxidil since 2 month. After using this my hair line is more visible what can I do ?
Male | 25
This might happen sometimes as a side effect. Minoxidil could cause increased hair fall before new hair starts to grow. The most important thing is to wait because this shedding usually is temporary. If you are worried, it’s better to continue using the medicine as directed and consult your doctor for more advice.

The spots and the smell may be due to a yeast infection, which is a kind of infection that can come after your period. yeasts. It's a super common thing among women. You may want to experiment with antifungal creams bought over the counter, wear cotton underwear, and stay away from tight clothing. In case the situation worsens, do not hesitate to consult a gynecologist.

Then use of mild topical steroids and anti-allergic tablets is the part of treatment. Your dermatologist will examine you and tell you the correct line of treatment

Hello, Recently I have noticed what looks like a rash on my foot, but it isn't itchy and It doesn't usually hurt when I am walking. I've had it for a few weeks it doesn't seem to be getting worse but it doesn't seem to be improving. I'm worried it could be something serious
Female | 32
A rash without itchiness or pain seems harmless, yet various factors could cause it. It might stem from a fungal infection, eczema, or contact dermatitis. However, some non-itchy rashes indicate more severe underlying issues. To ensure proper diagnosis and treatment, consulting a dermatologist remains the safest bet.

You may be suffering from what is known as eczema. Eczema is a skin condition that causes the skin to become itchy, swollen, and red. It usually moves from one place on the body to another. This can be triggered by some soaps, detergents, or stress. For the management of eczema, try to use gentle and unscented soaps, moisturizing your skin, and avoiding scratches. If the symptoms do not go away, it is better to see a dermatologist for a thorough examination and treatment.

I am having a fever since yesterday and red rashes come out, then they go away and come back but still I am having trouble getting up
Female | 23
You might have a viral infection causing your fever and red rashes. That the rashes go away and come back may be a sign that the virus is still present. Through this, you will be able to alleviate the symptoms. Moreover, you can take a pill such as acetaminophen for your fever. If it doesn't get better in a couple of days, a dermatologist might have to see you.
