Psoriasis happens when the skin turns red, with patches and itching. Scales on the skin look silvery. Not catching – you won't spread it. In kids, Psoriasis may come from stress or family history. Manage Psoriasis by moisturizing skin with creams. Don't scratch skin. Use gentle soap. Sometimes, doctors give special lotions for Psoriasis.

I am a 21 year old male . I am experiencing some concerning symptoms around the genital area. There is significant redness on the head of the penis and on the skin when it is pulled back. Additionally, a large, raised bump that resembles a pus-filled lesion has appeared on the head of the penis. There is also an unpleasant smell that persists despite washing and maintaining hygiene. The area has small spots and pimples, and the overall appearance is quite inflamed and abnormal. I also feel a burning sensation and itching in the area, which have not improved with regular cleaning. I would appreciate your guidance on this I am not so sexually active ( once a month )
Male | 21
It seems that you are suffering from the symptoms that are likely to be caused by an infection or an inflammatory condition. Various factors, such as inflammation, infection, and skin disorder, can cause redness, bumps, and discomfort. At the same time, hygiene maintenance is important, but these symptoms are usually the ones that require the doctor's care. I advise you to make an appointment with a dermatologist who can correctly diagnose and treat your problem.

Hello, I have redness on my nose, I would like to get rid of it, as its not the same colour and it looks ugly. I kinda know why its red. I had erythema multiforme, after someone drank from my water bottle and i got herpes simplex, i had red dots on my hand, knees, elbows, and one on my nosebridge now its gone, but ever since i have a discolored nose. The top where it connects to the forehead is white and below its a red colour, what can I do to get back the original colour of my nose, is there any medication that can help?
Male | 21
That redness on your nose might be leftover swelling. Don't worry though, with some gentle TLC, it should fade. Be sure to moisturize and use mild products. Staying out of harsh sunlight (and SPF!) will also keep discoloration away. It may take time, but your skin will heal.

Male | 20
There’s a chance you have ringworm, which is a type of fungal infection. This illness can cause itchy or red circular patches on your skin. Fungi that love warmth and moisture cause this problem; so it’s common in hot weather. Treat it by applying antifungal creams and body washes recommended by a dermatologist. Also, make sure you keep the affected area clean and dry.

I have acne on my right side of cheek since 5 years. And sometimes pimple also occur in that acne every now and then.It has also become bigger since 2 weeks . Please help me out.
Female | 24
If you are having recurrent acne this is probably due to the hormonal fluctuation which results into increased oily skin on the face, the scalp, chest and there are few things that has to be taken care. One thing not to apply hair oil, avoid having dandruff or use anti-dandruff shampoos weekly on the scalp, using face washes that have salicylic acid or glycolic acid. Avoid using thick greasy moisturizers or cream on the face. Use only creams that are gel based or water based. Drink plenty of water, avoid fat or cheesy diet, exercise 10-15 mins of the day. Topical steroids have to be avoided. Topical antibiotics like Clindamycin are useful. Oral Antibiotics or retinoids are advised. Even some patients require peeling sessions. A proper consultation with dermatologist is more helpful.

I've never had acne in my teenage years but suddenly I'm breaking out very often. What should I do?
Female | 28
It’s not strange for people to get acne as adults, so don’t worry too much if you’re affected. Hormonal changes, stress, diet or certain cosmetic applications may lead to sudden outbursts of the condition. Signs and symptoms of acne are red spots, blackheads and whiteheads. To deal with it, wash your face two times each day using a mild soap; avoid touching it too often and even consider using benzoyl peroxide/salicylic acid-containing products. If this fails consult a dermatologist.

You seem to have a disease of the skin called petechiae that displays its presence as small pink or red dots with breakage of capillary vessels. It happens because of illnesses, certain medications, or just scratching the skin too hard. To heal them, keep your fingers away from the irritated spots, and you should also use a gentle moisturizer. if it does not improve or give any other symptoms consult a dermatologist.

I have dengue and chikunguniya together my hands and legs are swollen much and someone prescribed me to take deflacort 18mg medicine. Whenever I take it my swollen things gone but whenever I stop taking it it goes bad and bad. what will I do now will I take it or not?
Female | 40
It's understandable to be concerned about your symptoms of swelling due to dengue and chikungunya. These conditions can lead to inflammation, causing discomfort in your extremities. Deflacort can help reduce this swelling, but relying on it continuously isn't a long-term solution. Consider monitoring your symptoms closely and re-evaluating the necessity of this medication with your healthcare provider. It’s important to address the underlying causes and explore other supportive treatments. Please consult your dermatologist to discuss your ongoing symptoms and the best approach to manage your health effectively.

I have been having this painful burning sensation on my scrutum after using podophyllin cream. And it’s been hurting for 3days now. What can I do?
Male | 28
It sounds like you are experiencing discomfort, which may result from a reaction to the podophyllin cream. This remedy can sometimes cause irritation or burning sensations, especially if applied to sensitive skin. To alleviate your symptoms, consider gently cleansing the area with mild soap and warm water. Applying a soothing, fragrance-free moisturizer may help as well. However, since the pain has persisted for three days, it’s important to consult a dermatologist for personalized advice and appropriate treatment.

Doctor iam suffering from hard dandruff please help even i had long ache on my head
Male | 17
Stubborn dandruff may be caused by a fungus on your scalp that causes the skin cells to accumulate and become flaky. Scratching too much could also be the cause of a sore head. Use a medicated shampoo that treats the fungus and calms your scalp; additionally, wash your hair gently and frequently.

How to tighten pore on face
Female | 28
Your face has tiny openings called pores. Sometimes, they seem bigger. Causes can be oily skin, sun hurt, or age. Keeping your face clean helps shrink them. Wash regularly with a gentle cleanser and products with salicylic acid to unclog pores. Use a moisturizer that won't block pores, keeping them smaller. The sun damages pores, making them look bigger. Protect with sunscreen daily. Diet and water can also improve skin appearance.
