Brown discharge and spotting blood can happen after a vaginal infection. It happens to everybody and is normally not very serious. The medicine your doctor gave you is meant to help with the infection. You can go ahead and insert it as prescribed. Be sure to read the directions properly. If symptoms continue or become worse, let your gynecologist know.

I had taken I-pill (Emergency Contraception) after having Protected Sex. Will I be getting any withdrawal Bleeding? Within how many days will I get my Periods post Withdrawal bleeding? My last period was 16-20 Feb I had the pill on 26th Feb My cycle is usually 28-29 days
Female | 22
You consumed an emergency contraception pill following protected intercourse. This action could induce withdrawal bleeding around one week later. Post this bleeding, your menstrual period may occur within roughly one month from your prior cycle. With typical cycles lasting 28-29 days, anticipate your period near late March. If any concerning or irregular symptoms manifest, visit a gynecologist.

Does metformin will cause weight loss in pcos patients? I had lost 5 kg after taking metformin for six months?? Is anything worry about this??
Female | 34
Yes, weight loss in PCOS patients can also be attributed to metformin. This is because metformin works on regulating insulin levels and that is why weight management is easier. It is important to check with a gynecologist or an endocrinologist to make sure that the loss of weight is not caused by other underlying factors.

Missing your period and a positive test likely mean 4-6 weeks along. You might feel nauseous, exhausted, or breast tenderness. Pregnancy happens when sperm fertilizes an egg. If terminating, consult a gynecologist about options - they'll advise and help determine the right choice for you.

If you are still breastfeeding and have become pregnant again, there are many things to think about. It is usually safe to continue breastfeeding during pregnancy but this may lower your milk supply or make your nipples sore. However, it’s crucial to consult a gynecologist who can advise if termination through medical means would be best for you.

You're detecting the most likely side effects of your use of birth control. Passing light bleeding out of your cycle or period can occur at rare moments. This bleeding outside of the period can be due to hormonal fluctuations, stress, or fluctuations in weight. You may keep an eye on the bleeding if it is not heavy and stops by itself. However, if it persists or you have any doubts, you should consult a gynecologist for tailored advice.

my period had changed to being redish brown in for 2 months now and the gose to red the next day
Female | 17
It is normal for periods to change color a little bit, but if this lasts for 2 months it is important to know why. At the beginning it may be reddish brown which means old blood – this is normal. When it turns red it could be new blood. Hormones or stress may be causing these changes. Drink water, eat well, and rest. If it doesn't stop, consult with a gynecologist.

You may be talking about the vaginal canal or cervix to the doctor. The white or pink hue could be due to discharge or inflammation. The more common causes are infections such as yeast or bacterial vaginosis. Unless you are sick with something that can cause these symptoms, you should visit a gynecologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

Using Candid V6 was a good start, but if the itching persists, you may need to see another gynecologist for further advice. Make sure to keep the area clean and dry and avoid tight clothing.

I am not having period since nov 2023
Female | 17
Your period has stopped since November 2023. This may worry you. Periods can stop due to stress or big weight changes. They may also stop from hormone problems. Or, an illness could cause missed periods. If more months pass without a period, see a doctor. A gynecologist knows periods well. They'll discover why yours stopped. Then, they'll help make your periods regular again.
