Why Do I Have Itching in Pelvic Area?

I have itching in pelvic area

1 Answer

Answered on 28th Feb '25

Itching in the pelvic region can stem from various causes, such as irritation, infections, or allergies. Symptoms may include discomfort, redness, or swelling. To alleviate this sensation, consider maintaining cleanliness, wearing breathable fabrics, and avoiding harsh soaps. Over-the-counter antifungal or hydrocortisone creams might provide relief if irritation is suspected. However, if issues persist or worsen, it’s essential to seek guidance from a gynecologist

I am 23yrs old. I last slept with my boyfriend on August 27th and got my period on September 15, ended on 18th and my period is 8 days late this month (October)

Female | 23

Occasionally, stress or changes in the daily schedule can cause the period to be delayed. Besides, being physically active or shifting in weight can also be why. If you have unprotected sex, it's good to check if you are pregnant. A home pregnancy test kit will be able to tell you.

I am a 23 year old female. I had sexual intercourse with my boyfriend and took the morning after pill three times in one month. We had sexual intercourse twice in a span of two weeks and I took the morning after pill both times. Then I got my period so we stopped, when I came off we had sexual intercourse again and I took the morning after pill, then a few days later got heavy bleeding like a period for 6-7 days. Since then we haven’t had any sexual intercourse. This was last month. This month I haven’t gotten my period yet. It’s delayed. Is it because the morning after pills alters hormones? Or am I pregnant?

Female | 23

Since you took the morning after pill multiple times within a month may have altered your menstrual cycle and caused a delay in your period. But there is still a possibility of pregnancy even if you have taken the morning after pill. Because emergency contraception is not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy, and repeated use of the pill within a short period of time may decrease its effectiveness.

I had protected sex on Feb 8th and taken i-pill and got withdrawal bleeding after 5 days. Then again I had protected sex on Feb 25th and I took i-pill and didn't get the bleeding. Is it because I may get pregnant?

Female | 22

Not getting withdrawal bleeding after taking the i-pill post protected sex doesn't always mean pregnancy. The emergency contraceptive can sometimes affect your menstrual cycle. However, if you're still worried, you can take a home pregnancy test a few weeks later to ease your mind.

Bacterial vaginosis – one common yeast infection with symptoms such as an absence of menstruation, odorous white discharge, which accompanies a burning, itching, or soreness. It frequently occurs when the HLB of bacteria and yeast gets unbalanced due to which bacteria overgrows. Also, ensure to keep the area away from wetness and name, this lowers the chances of developing this infection. They are generally cured with a course of antibiotics.

Hi, my wife had an chest xray done and as a precaution we covered her pelvis area with a lead plate as we were unsure about her pregnancy but after 7 days her test came positive and we got to know that she is 2 months pregnant pregnancy ( we conducted 2 p.tests prior but they came negative), Should we go fwd with the baby? Please advise as we are really worried.

Female | 29

Radiation is neither dangerous nor harmful to an unborn baby when the mother's stomach is well covered during pregnancy and X-rays are taken. The child was probably well protected by the lead plate covered by the pelvic region during the X-ray. In general, radiation obtained from a single X-ray is so low that it cannot make an early pregnancy harmful. Nevertheless, telling the doctor about the X-ray and pregnancy is always the best choice. They might wish to examine the pregnancy more often to make sure that it is developing properly.

Concerned about pregnancy Female, 21 I had my last period on 12april ...on 30 april i had anal sex ...i got fingered in vagina by my partner...there may be pre cum in his fingers since he touched himself before...i haven't got my periods till now ...is there chance of pregnancy??

Female | 21

Pregnancy can occur when ejaculate-containing sperm comes into contact with the vagina. There is still a chance of pregnancy with pre-cum because it may contain sperm. If you find yourself being late on your period it might be one of the symptoms that could indicate pregnancy. In addition to this, you might be stressed out which can also push back your period. Take a pregnancy test just to be safe.

Hey , I have an achey pain on the side of both breasts just under the armpit and it feels lumpy , the pain goes away when I’m lying and starts when I’m walking or doing certain activities

Female | 19

You should get it checked by a specialist as soon as possible. It could be a sign of breast infection, cysts or even breast cancer. Just be sure to visit a specialist and get a proper diagnosis.
