Answered on 26th Feb '25
If you're experiencing changes around the vaginal area, such as bumps or lesions, it’s important to consider a few potential causes. Conditions like hormonal changes, infections, or clogged glands might contribute to these symptoms. Maintaining good hygiene and wearing breathable fabrics can be helpful. However, since every individual is unique, I encourage you to consult a gynecologist for a proper evaluation and tailored treatment options. They can provide reassurance and clarity based on your specific situation.

I have pcod problem tell me the solution

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) may result in symptoms like irregular menstrual cycles, weight gain, and excessive hair growth. Typically, it's because of hormone imbalances and there are chances it could also run in the family. Managing the issue often requires the adaptation of lifestyle choices such as a healthy diet, regular exercise, and sometimes treatment with medications that can help regulate the cycles and other symptoms. One important point is that it is crucial to track your health and get the right guidance for your particular situation from a gynecologist.

Mam adenomyosis, endometrial polyps, nabothian cyst hai aur five days se period late hai
Female | 31
Your period delay may stem from adenomyosis, uterine polyps, and nabothian cysts. Adenomyosis often brings heavier, painful periods. Polyps and nabothian cysts can disrupt normal bleeding patterns. Treatments might include medication for symptoms, or minor procedures to remove polyps/cysts. Consult a gynecologist for personalized guidance regarding your condition.

Had sex on 11 day after period, I pill taken after 23 hours, 11 days to go their is no periods
Female | 20
It’s fine if your period is late after taking Plan B because it messes with your cycle. Some symptoms like spotting, feeling sick, or changes in the timing of your menstrual cycle are pretty normal too. Remember that stress may also cause a delay in your period so try not to worry too much about it. Everything should return to normal soon enough. If not though, then maybe think about getting a pregnancy test.

I have too small belly in 17 week of pregnancy
Female | 20
Toward the middle of the pregnancy, a smaller belly at 17 weeks might trouble you. If a belly is small, it can be because of the baby’s position, the way your body is holding the baby, or many other reasons. In the majority of cases, it's not a big deal when your health conditions are within normal limits. Continue to eat well and go to all of your pregnancy medical check-ins to ensure that you and your baby are healthy.

I had an intercourse on oct 24th which only includes anal penetration and rubbing at that region. There was no direct contact between penis and vagina. I had bleeding on Nov 8th dec 6th jan 3rd and Feb 2nd and the flow seemed to be normal. Also did a urine pregnancy test on Dec 30 showed negative results and out of my anxiety did an ultrasound scan at a clinic and they said no pregnancy is found. But I'm still anxious and can't convince my self about no pregnancy occurred. My doubt is even if there is a cryptic pregnancy and not found in tests would it have been identified in scans when done around 13 weeks after intercourse? Can it completely rule out pregnancy even in cases of retroverted uterus.
Female | 20
It's understandable to feel anxious after such experiences, but based on the information you've provided, your negative pregnancy tests and ultrasound results strongly suggest that pregnancy is highly unlikely. Bleeding episodes can occur for various reasons unrelated to pregnancy. Cryptic pregnancies are rare, and an ultrasound at 13 weeks would typically identify a pregnancy, even with a retroverted uterus. To alleviate your concerns further, consider scheduling a follow-up appointment with a gynecologist. They can provide reassurance and help address any lingering worries you may have.

Hi. My partner is male and I am female. He recently disclosed that he was diagnosed with herpes many years ago but has never had an outbreak since. So I have allowed us to have unprotected sex. Am I able to contract it even though he’s been dormant for years ?
Female | 28
Infections can be transmitted through sexual contact, even without visible outbreaks. Even if your partner may not have had symptoms for years, the virus can still shed and pose a transmission risk. Please consult a good medical facility and a gynecologist for proper evaluation.

in protected sex pregnancy is not possible. Delayed mensuration may indicates other issues like stress, hormonal imbalance etc. Wait for few more days or if you are worried plz visit your gynecologist

Hii, My periods are delayed by 7 days now and I m worried as to why this is the case. Just to make it clear I have not indulged in any sexual intercourse. I usually get my periods by 27-28 th day. I got my last period on 5th April and my this month due was around 3rd of April , it's 10th today and I still have not got my periods. Also there has been a change in my routine from continuous travelling to just being at home for a while now. I just want to know if there is anything to be concerned about and should I consult a doc immediately? Or wait for a while ? And what are your takes on this. Height 5' 2" (157.48 cm) Weight117 lbs (53.07 kg)
Female | 20
It’s pretty normal for periods to be a little irregular, particularly if there have been changes to your routine such as decreased travel. Stress, variations in diet or exercise, and shifts in hormones can also impact your cycle. Since you haven’t had sex, it’s unlikely that you’re pregnant. Wait a bit longer but if it still doesn’t come, I reckon it would be best to see a gynecologist to be sure everything’s ok.

Last month I had 2 period.first one started on 5/8/24 and second one started on 23/8/24. On 4/9/24 I had an unprotected sex so can I get pregnant with it???? And I am a pcod patient also.So can I take emergency contraception pill?? Will it be safe for future pregnancy?
Female | 24
It's possible to get pregnant if you had unprotected sex on 4/9/24. If you have PCOD, it may hurt your fertility. Consider taking the emergency pill, which is a good way to prevent pregnancy, but consult your gynecologist beforehand, especially since you are planning for a baby.

Hi...I am 18 years old I m facing the issue of irregular periods like they delay for 4 months with less pain during periods not severe..this also give m pimples and there is hair fall also..
Female | 18
It seems you go through irregular periods, acne, and hair loss. These symptoms can be caused by your hormonal imbalance. Stress, malnutrition, and sleep deprivation can contribute to it, too. Start setting yourself up with some healthy meals, rest adequately, and minimize stress. Let things be or continue to manifest but go see your healthcare provider if they further the deal. Be safe!

What can I have of I have vaginal pain and itching
Female | 22
Vaginal pain and itching feel very unpleasant. Common causes include yeast or bacterial infections. Sometimes irritation from products or hormone changes are responsible. To ease discomfort, avoid scented products, wear cotton underwear, and gently cleanse the area. Over-the-counter creams may provide relief too. However, if symptoms continue or worsen, see a gynecologist promptly.

And I been pregnant before I had a medicine abortion and last 2 week before I saw my period on 17 of march
Female | 19
After taking abortion pills, periods can become irregular sometimes. Your cycle may require time to adjust. Worries and hormone changes can impact menstrual flow too. If concerned, track your cycle closely for a few months. If irregularity persists, consulting a gynecologist makes sense.

Anytime I pee I feel like something is falling out of my vagina with a little pain that lasts for about 25secs,I want to know what it is?
Female | 21
Pelvic organ prolapse is a condition where pelvic organs sag downwards, pushing against vaginal walls. You might feel something falling out when peeing. Lasting pain or discomfort can occur. To fix it, see a gynecologist for an evaluation and discuss possible treatments like exercises, changes in lifestyle, or surgery if needed.

How much levenogestrel is effective three days before expected ovulation day ?
Female | 25
Levonorgestrel, a hormone used for the morning-after pill, significantly prevents pregnancy if it is taken 3 days before ovulation. It mainly does this by obstructing the coming out of an egg cell from the ovaries of a woman or the fertilization of an egg cell. The hormonal imbalance can be indicated by the inconsistent menstrual period, breast tenderness, or the occurrence of mild nausea. This is a highly effective method for avoiding pregnancy, but of course, there are variations among individuals. I recommend you consult a gynecologist for a personalized treatment plan.

why is it tht my girlfriend is still bleeding yet she removed the ectopic pregnancy
Female | 19
An ectopic pregnancy removal can cause bleeding. Healing takes time. Bleeding may be the body's method for eliminating remaining tissue. Seek medical care if severe pain, heavy bleeding, or feeling unwell occur. Monitor for unusual symptoms closely. The body needs time to recover fully. Bleeding is a normal process, but excessive bleeding warrants medical attention. Don't ignore persistent or concerning symptoms.

Since 19th August I have been taking the contraceptive pill (brand Rigevidon) at the same time every day as close to 6pm. I experienced multiple diarrhoea cases in extreme liquid form on Monday 26th August in very early morning hours. This continued until night of Tuesday 27th August and as of today (28th August) my diarrhea is no longer as extreme liquid water from but still loose when I went. On Monday 26th August I took my pill at 6:15pm but soon had liquid diarrhea as mentioned. I had unprotected sex (pulled out 2 time) on 27th August (right after taking pill at 6pm exact) and had diarrhea shortly after intercourse and I am worried on effectiveness. I took emergency contraception within 24 hrs (Andalan postpil) but I had loose stool around 3 hours of taking and my BMI is 30.5. I then took my regular pill. Should I worry/ what to do?
Female | 22
Diarrhea certainly has the potential to disturb the working of your contraceptive pill. With diarrhea, the body may not completely take in the hormones of the pill, thus lowering its efficacy. This along with unprotected sex can definitely increase the chances of pregnancy. Having taken emergency contraception was a good move. Keep in mind that consistent pill use is important. If your loose stool still continuing, it would be a good idea to inform your gynecologist.

Can we identify previous pregnancy, activated in sex, being aborted in usg abdomen scanning. Pills were taken on aug 27 and bleeding occured. On oct 15 got periods. Can doctor identify it during scanning?
Female | 21
During the ultrasound examination of the abdomen, we occasionally observe marks of a previous pregnancy, in case it was very recent. A light form that may be followed by periods on Aug 27 or Oct 15 could be caused by a previous pregnancy. The scan may show some uterus alterations that resemble those of previous pregnancies. However, if you presume the pregnancy has occurred, the better way is to approach a gynecologist.
