It’s perfectly normal for some young men to experience delayed facial hair growth as everyone has a unique rate of development. Factors such as genetics, hormonal levels, and overall health can influence this. Some may begin to see changes in their late teens or early twenties. To support healthy growth, maintain a balanced diet, manage stress, and get regular exercise. If this concern continues or you're worried, it’s a good idea to consult a dermatologist. They can assess your situation more thoroughly and provide guidance tailored to your needs.

Skin atrophy is the thinning of the skin and it can happen for different reasons like aging, steroid abuse, or some medical conditions. Skin atrophy is the major issue and it is necessary to use gentle lotions and creams to keep your skin moisturized to solve it. Refrain from harsh chemicals and cover your skin from the sun. Eating a balanced meal full of vitamins and minerals can also help your skin. Always bear in mind that the major reason for taking good care of the skin is for the overall well-being of the body.

I had a small cut on my hand that came into contact with blood on clothe. I didn't see any blood on my cut afterward or any wetness. Could I be infected with HIV?
Female | 33
HIV does not spread easily from dried blood. The virus dies quickly outside the body. A small cut touching dried blood is very unlikely to cause infection. Unbroken skin protects against HIV entering the body. Being cautious with blood is wise. However, in this case, the chance of getting HIV is extremely low. It's still good to watch for any unusual symptoms. But you probably have nothing to worry about!

thanks acutely maine physician doctor ko dhikhaya tha and blackness chali gyi but after treament thoda redness hai blackness jane ke baad so i am worry scar rahega ya jayega screen pr koi damage nhi dikh rha
Female | 22
Mild redness is usual after treatment and it occurs as the skin is repaired. The blackness you brought up is most likely a wound or an irritation, and it usually gets better over time. Scarring is a lot of times not significant, especially if you take good care of it. To encourage healing, do not allow any irritation to the same place, and also apply some cream, do not spend time under the sun, and you will see the difference. If you feel that the rash doesn't go away or gets worse, I recommend you to get in touch with your dermatologist for the proper evaluation.

Hello doctor, I fell in the park on Holi, and my friend applied turmeric, garlic and mustard oil on the wound after heating it.I have this injury on my knee This mark has appeared after the wound healed. Now how will it be cured?
Female | 29
You may be having a skin reaction to the things you put on your wound. This has formed a stain on your knee. Temporary things like turmeric, garlic, and mustard oil can be used on the wound but may cause skin irritation. To facilitate the healing, discontinue those substances and keep the area clean. You may also find some relief by applying a light moisturizer. If it doesn't get better, see a dermatologist for more help.

I have a pimple on my lower side of penis, it is there from last 2 months, but from last 3 days it started paining and swelling ( white pus ). Is it normal or I need serious medication. Please help me
Male | 20
It's not normal to have a pimple on the penis for 2 months, especially if it's now painful and swollen with white pus. It might be an infection. Keep the area clean and dry. Avoid picking or squeezing it. Using water that has been warmed or a warm compress can help in soothing it. If you have a condition that doesn't get better or gets worse, it's better to see a dermatologist.

In the past 5 months I have been suffering from fever and cold along with a lot of weakness and My hair was very thick before and now it has fallen out a lot.
Female | 18
You're experiencing a combination of symptoms that could be related to an underlying health issue. Persistent fever, cold, weakness, and significant hair loss over several months can sometimes point to problems like nutritional deficiencies, thyroid issues, or even an infection. It's important to consult a general physician or an endocrinologist who can evaluate your symptoms properly and suggest the right treatment.

You have a small area of thickened tissue which is under your skin that appears dark on the imaging scan. This could be due to several reasons such as inflammation or it could be a cyst. You might not have any symptoms but if you do experience pain or if you see it growing, it is better to go to a dermatologist for further evaluation and management.

I’ve hyperpigmentation on my face and suburn don’t know what to avoid and yse
Female | 18
I see that you are having dark spots on your face after getting a sunburn. This is called hyperpigmentation. It happens when your skin makes more pigment, called melanin, to protect itself from the sun. To help, avoid direct sunlight, use sunscreen, wear a hat, and apply aloe vera to soothe the burn. Over time, the dark spots may fade, but protecting your skin from the sun is key.

A Jock itch is a skin swelling or rash that is caused by a fungus. For fading scars, use creams or ointments prescribed by a doctor. The area should be kept clean and dry. To avoid getting it again, wear loose clothes, change underwear daily, and do not share towels. Do not scratch the rash. If it fails to improve, consult a dermatologist.

These spots are usually caused by melanosis, which changes skin color. Don't worry, as it's generally harmless. However, bacterial infections, moles, or other skin conditions could also be responsible. It's advisable to see a gynecologist to determine the exact condition and recommend the right treatment if needed.

Having acne near chin and its very painful and I am suffering it from 2 years and I am diagnosed with pcos but my periods are regular and my weight is under control
Female | 29
Acne close to your chin has a sharp pain for two years it can also be one of the symptoms of PCOS when you do not have irregular periods and your weight is fine. Hormone disruptors like PCOS are the cause of acne in the region of the chin. One thing to notice is that treatments with creams like salicylic acid, and laser resurfacing can be another option if you commit more to finding the right products for your skin. Not only antibiotics but also the ability of drugs to fight against PCOS by lifestyle changes leads to a reduction of acne too.

I'm 19 years old, I had irritation in my inner thigh thought to be thigh chaffing, it stopped then had a surgery for ovarian cyst removal surgery. After a week I had a watery profuse discharge from down there with a weird bad smell stopped after 3 days but caused severe irritation in my inner thigh and labia majora. Went to a dermatologist (and that was 3 months ago) he prescribed for me daktacort thrice daily and triflucan 150mg once weekly as I had tinia cruris (not sure of spelling). My skin got better but I still have slight irritation in my labia majora and minora and white solid like discharge in the middle of the day (not sure if it's okay) my dermatologist told me to continue till my symptoms stop completely and add 2 weeks but I have doubts about the dose and prescription because I didn't think it would last this long. Please help me relief my doubts.
Female | 19
It's normal for such infections to take time to fully clear, and its natural your dermat's advice to continue treatment until symptoms disappear for an additional 2 weeks. Maintain good hygiene and follow up with your dermatologist if you have ongoing concerns or questions about your treatment. Seek a second opinion from a gynecologist

My finger got black swallowed skin.it won't pain won't itch.but If I remove it it comes again on same place.what is solution?
Male | 40
You have a condition called a subungual hematoma. Small blood vessels under the nail break. This causes the skin to turn black. Trauma, even minor, often causes this. It is usually harmless and resolves by itself. But if it bothers you, a dermatologist can drain the blood. Don't pick at it to avoid infections. Keep the area clean.
