Why is my tight, pus-free finger pimple like a knot?

Patient's Query

Have a one pimple on finger it don't have pus it is very tight ..it's like knot

Answered by Dr. Anju Methil

A firm bump on your finger, especially one without any discharge, could be a benign issue like a cyst, a small growth, or an irritation. These often arise from clogged glands or minor injuries. To promote healing, keep the area clean and avoid unnecessary touching. Applying a warm compress can help soothe any discomfort. However, if the swelling persists, grows, or causes pain, it’s wise to consult a dermatologist. They can provide a thorough evaluation and appropriate treatment options.

Allergy swelling in hands

Female | 32

You most likely are facing swelling of your hands that is induced by an allergy. Allergies develop when the body reacts to a certain stimulus that it doesn't like, which results in swelling. Redness, itching, or even puffiness are the possible symptoms you may get on your hands. The most common causes of allergies can be some foods, insect bites, or even contact with some things. To help with swelling, consider taking antihistamines and avoiding your allergy triggers.

From last month I'm suffering with full hair fall the hair is falling from the tip and hair fall is very high

Female | 21

It seems as if you may be suffering from severe hair loss. It may as well have been caused by many factors like stress, hormonal changes or a disease. I would suggest visiting a dermatologist, who could examine your scalp and diagnose the reason for hair loss. They can then develop a customized treatment plan for you

Pimple and Pimple marks in face

Female | 27

Pimple marks are small bumps that can be red, swollen, or have pus, the pinky-gray of the skin. These things are generated when the pores become clogged with oil and dead skin cells. Pimple marks are dark or red spots left behind after a pimple goes away. In order to reduce your chances of getting pimples, you should wash your face regularly, stay away from oily products, and never pick or squeeze the pimples. Apply products that contain benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid to treat them.

I am arpita im 17 years old my skin suffering from dullness nd even skin tone nd not even glow nd hydration

Female | 17

It seems like your skin is not glowing and lacks moisture. These issues may be due to other reasons such as lack of proper hydration, non-use of sunscreen, or dry location. One of the best things to do in this respect is to ensure that your skin takes in enough water, use a good moisturizer that is not too harsh, and eat a healthy diet by including fruits and vegetables. Use sunblock when outdoors to keep your skin protected from the sun. These actions may improve your skin and consequently, you may have radiant skin.

I am 21 years old and I have severe dandruff and itchy scalp . I used many anti dandruff shampoos but no use.

Male | 21

A common cause of dandruff is yeast which lives on everybody’s skin. Sometimes, if you’re using certain shampoos and they’re not working it’s possibly because your scalp needs something else. Try shampoo with an ingredient such as ketoconazole or salicylic acid in it and be sure to massage this into your head. Doing so should help decrease both the amount of flakes produced by the dandruff and also provide relief from irritation caused by dryness.

I am 21 years old and having forehead acne only and no acne on other part of face and my doctor suggested me isotretinoin should I take it or they are for severe acne?

Female | 21 years

Forehead acne is quite common. It can be because of the sebum the skin makes too much as it gets plugged and distresses the follicles. Isotretinoin is mainly used for the treatment of severe acne, so if your doctor has recommended it, it may indicate that your acne has become more severe and chronic. Make sure you are listening to your doctor and feel free to express your worries if you have any.

Itching, redness and sticky dandruff in beard. From last 10+ years. Issue resolve when clomatrizole applied but this time clomatrizole is not working. Want some generic ointment as can't afford expensive treatments.

Male | 35

You are suffering from a long-term problem with your beard itching, redness, and sticky dandruff. A skin condition seborrheic dermatitis may be the cause. Occasionally, the use of antifungal ointments like clotrimazole can be effective, but if this is not the case, you might want to use an ointment with hydrocortisone to decrease inflammation. Remember to wash and dry the area that is affected as this will help with the symptoms.
