My father ( age 80) is having varicose veins and later due to some jit to foot he got partial foot drop and toes are dragged. He is walking in that foot kid of limping way. At ine of toe finger hard blister formed which pains s bit when touched ground.Took Auyrvedic treatment which gave some relief but walking ability need to improve.

Male | 80

Not sure what your problem is exactly, but if there was sudden foot drop then should rule out stroke and ischemia also. can use custom made footwear for the foot to avoid injury to the dragging toes.

consult a good Vascular surgeon for the varicose veins and Plastic surgeon for the foot drop issue. remember we are treating only the symptoms here but the root cause needs forther evaluation.

Hi Ma'am Good morning For me doctor send go for surgery. Main vain was damaged. Any other option is there ji with out surgery. Can you give me surgery

Female | 42

Your concern is valid. Vein damage warrants surgery in many instances. Untreated vein issues risk clots and swelling. Surgery addresses circulation issues, preventing complications. Rarely, alternatives exist, though doctor's guidance remains crucial for optimal results. The vein's condition primarily determines treatment approach. Consulting your physician helps understand options for your specific case.

I want to consult for my father for his varicose veins with a history of diabetes. What kind of dr should I consult with..MS Surgeon or neuro surgeon.

Male | 56

It is recommended to visit a MS Surgeon for your father's varicose veins with diabetes. Varicose veins are swollen and twisted veins, which are often found in diabetics. Symptoms include such as pain, swelling and skin changes. Causes can be genetics or standing up for a long time. Treatment might include lifestyle changes, compression stockings, or MS Surgeon surgery to better blood flow and symptoms.
