What to avoid after sclerotherapy?

Avoid these things for 48 hours post sclerotherapy:

  • Dodge aspirin, ibuprofen, and other anti-inflammatory medicines. You may take acetaminophen if you need relief from pain.
  • Neither take hot baths nor sit in a whirlpool or sauna. You can shower, but the water should be cooler than usual.
  • Avoid applying hot compresses or any form of heat to the site of treatment.
  • Avoid excess exposure to sun.
  • Don't be overly inactive during your recovery period. You can still walk.
  • Avoid strenuous physical activities, weight lifting, or sports.
  • Don’t jog for at least 2 days after sclerotherapy.

What Activities are suitable?

  • Most probably, you will be able to drive yourself home after the procedure and return to work the following day.
  • You should take light walks daily immediately after your procedure to help with blood circulation.

Hi Ma'am Good morning For me doctor send go for surgery. Main vain was damaged. Any other option is there ji with out surgery. Can you give me surgery

Female | 42

Your concern is valid. Vein damage warrants surgery in many instances. Untreated vein issues risk clots and swelling. Surgery addresses circulation issues, preventing complications. Rarely, alternatives exist, though doctor's guidance remains crucial for optimal results. The vein's condition primarily determines treatment approach. Consulting your physician helps understand options for your specific case.

At ine of toe finger hard blister formed which pains s bit when touched ground.Took Auyrvedic treatment which gave some relief but walking ability need to improve.

Male | 80

Not sure what your problem is exactly, but if there was sudden foot drop then should rule out stroke and ischemia also. can use custom made footwear for the foot to avoid injury to the dragging toes.

consult a good Vascular surgeon for the varicose veins and Plastic surgeon for the foot drop issue. remember we are treating only the symptoms here but the root cause needs forther evaluation.

You have developed a serious condition such as arterial thrombosis, where your arteries are blocked by blood clots. This may cause you to experience symptoms such as pain, coldness, and numbness in your arm. Among the factors that can cause arterial thrombosis are things such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or smoking. You might need a medical process called thrombectomy to remove the clots and recover the blood circulation. It is essential to abide by your doctor's orders and follow the treatment plan to avoid further health issues.

Hi. I am ravi.i am 39 year old . My left leg in varicose veins please help me

Male | 39

Varicose veins occur when the veins in the leg can be big and swollen and they can be twisted. They are the ones that usually remain visible and they may be blue or purple. Some people feel as if their legs are heavy or are in pain. Being active, resting your legs at a higher level, and using compression stockings can be things that can help. If it irritates you a lot, visit a doctor.
