He has completed his MBBS from J.S.S Medical College, Mysore in 1982, Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune in 1990 and FCCP - Pulmonary Medicine from American College Of Chest Physicians in 1990.
