Answered on 23rd May '24

We had unprotected sex , my wife was on periods it was her day 3 , on 4th day she continued with her periods and also took unwanted 72 within 20 hrs , on 5th day she had white discharge and on 6th day again had bleeding?
Female | 30
Emergency contraception such as Unwanted 72 can cause bleeding diseases which might not be normal, especially when it happens twice in one month. The white discharge and the bleeding might be the result of the hormonal changes brought by the pill. This will take care of itself. .

Pregnant! By how many months? I have had swollen feet, boobs are producing milk already(leaking), allot of pressure on bladder, allot of kicking. Cant afford to do ultrasound. This is 4 pregnancy now
Female | 32
From what you've shared, it seems you're around 7 to 8 months pregnant. Swelling feet and breasts producing milk are normal late in pregnancy. The baby pushing down on your bladder and kicking frequently also happen this far along. But to know exactly how far along you are and make sure everything is OK, see a gynecologist. Remember to drink lots of water and take care of yourself.

I am 25 year old and I'm having vaginal itching from last two days can u plz prescribe some medication
Female | 25
It may be due to a yeast infection, which is very common and treatable. Other causes could be irritation from scented products or an allergic reaction. You can try an over-the-counter antifungal cream for yeast infections first. Also, wear cotton underwear and avoid scented products until the itching goes away. If the itchy feeling persists or worsens, it's best to visit a urologist/gynecologist.

I am 36 year old female 7 months pregnant with menstrual like cramps that's moderate and lower back pain with a little slime
Female | 36
You may be dealing with Braxton Hicks contractions. These are like practice contractions that your body does to prepare for labor. They can be likened to the sensation of menstrual cramps along with some discomfort in the lower back. The thick, gooey discharge might be an indication that your body is preparing itself for labor. While resting and drinking water is good for your health, if the cramps become more frequent or severe, you should inform your gynecologist.

hello, i take my birth control everyday at the same time. haven't missed a day but today i wasn't able to go & get so i'm missing a day. can you explain to me what i need to do tomorrow once i go & get it & do i need to have a second backup or not
Female | 19
Remember to take your pill at the same time every day because it is one of the factors that make your pill effective. If something gets in your way, there is no reason to panic. Take a missed pill as soon as you remember. Even if it means to take two pills a day. Though it is okay to miss two or more pills and rely on some other methods like condoms for the time being, nevertheless make it a point to consult an experienced gynecologist to know exactly how to proceed in your case

A few days ago I was intimate with my girlfriend but now her periods have been delayed by 2 days, I am worried whether she is pregnant or not.
Female | 22
The reason for delayed periods may be other than pregnancy, for example, mental disturbances, body being with travel and some hospital procedures, hormone disorders, or other reasons. You can always consult a gynecologist for further details.

I have missed my periods I m very much concer about it what to do
Female | 39
Missing periods may feel concerning, and many factors could contribute. Stress, hormones fluctuating, intense exercise, rapid weight shifts – these might disrupt the cycle. Certain conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) are known to affect menstruation too. It helps to note any symptoms and consult a gynecologist for advice. But try not to worry excessively, as irregular periods are quite common and addressable with proper care.

Hi Doctor , I'm a mother of 2 kids and recently had a miscarriage, now me & my husband want to go for tubal ligation surgery as it says it's not 100% although it's a permanent birth control method of over 99% effective , is it okay after the surgery to start taking Ovral L pill ?
Female | 39
Permanent birth control can be achieved through tubal ligation surgery. The chances of pregnancy are greatly reduced with this method, but it is not 100% guaranteed. You may begin taking Ovral L after undergoing the operation. It is vital that you have an open discussion with your doctor in order to consider all available alternatives and make the most appropriate decision for yourself. Always feel free to share any worries you may have with your physician. I wish you all the best!

My 16 yr old, not sexually active daughter has what she believes is a skin tag or polyp that has just appeared on the inner part of her labia. It doesn't itch, it's the same color of her skin but it has started bleeding which could be from wiping. We don't know but it's causing discomfort and I can't get an appointment with the gynecologist for a few weeks. Should she be worried? Does this sound right?
Female | 16
Skin tags and polyps are harmless and not a cause for immediate concern. Since it has started bleeding and is causing discomfort, get it evaluated by a gynecologist whenever possible. Meantime its imp for her to keep the area clean and dry, avoid excessive wiping, and wear loose-fitting clothing to reduce any irritation or discomfort.

Hello doctor. Me and my partner didn’t had sex. On July 4, gave him oral. His pre cum got onto my lips. Kissed him on his hips with his pre cum. And then he went down on me. Is it possible to get pregnant like that? Or even if he has touched his penis with a little bit of pre cum and fingered me after 1-1.5 hours of doing so? I took emergency contraceptive under 48 hours. And I drank 2 glasses of ginger water one day before taking it and also 5 hours before taking it. And early morning before taking the pill on July 5, I saw some light bleeding in my vagina and thought it was ovulation bleeding because I don’t have such light periods. And I’ve irregular periods. ( I’m not sure if it was my periods ) so there are chances that I took the unwanted 72 pill on the first day or 1-2 days before my periods were due. And after 14-15 hours of taking the pill, I started bleeding heavily (more than spotting and less than periods) . The bleeding was enough to use a pad. Can withdrawal bleeding start this early ? Just after 14-15 hours of taking the pill? Or is it my periods triggering early because I took the pill maybe near my due date or on my due date? On 6th July morning, I drank one more glass of ginger water , and in the evening my body temperature fluctuated between 99.3 at 5pm to 98.7 at 8pm and 97.6 at 11pm . My heartbeat also gets fast sometimes. Is it because of the stress? Or hormonal changes? Today is July 7th, more than 48 hours gone after taking the pill. And in the morning , I was feeling dizzy , tired and weakness. I slept again and woke up at 3pm. I am still feeling tired but that maybe because I slept so much. I’m still bleeding heavily. But it’s lesser than my normal periods. Could this be my periods only? But less heavier? Or is it withdrawal bleeding? Am I pregnancy safe? I’m really worried!
Female | 19
Interestingly, you can get pregnant despite using emergency contraception. The bleeding you experienced is more likely a response to the pill, not pregnancy. The changes in temperature and fast heartbeat might be due to hormonal changes or stress. Dizziness and fatigue are common with emergency contraceptives. Take some time to rest, and keep hydrated, and if you have any more concerns, please visit a gynecologist.

Maam I'm 7 weeks pregnant, l had consumed hing in pomogranate seed size, is it danger or I will det miscarriage? I am afraid of tat plz reply to me
Female | 20
Consuming asafoetida, even in pomegranate seed size, is generally safe during pregnancy. It's a little bit impossible to miscarry this one. In case you feel strange such as having intense belly pains, a lot of blood including stains, or giddiness, you must seek help from your health doctor. Seek peace and avoid being too anxious. Your body is strong and small amounts of asafoetida can be tolerated. A balanced diet and your doctor's advice for a healthy pregnancy are still the things you should remember.

Don't worry if your period arrives late after taking emergency birth control pills like Plan B. These medications contain hormones that may disrupt your cycle. Consult a gynecologist if your period doesn't start after more time passes.

Low sex drive and weak pelvic floor frequent urination with low hardening
Male | 20
A drop in testosterone can cause reduced libido, weak pelvic floor muscles, frequent urination, and erectile dysfunction. This hormone plays a key role in driving sex drive and muscle strength. Doctors may test testosterone levels and recommend treatments like Hormone Replacement Therapy. Staying hydrated, eating nutritious food, and staying active also help improve health. If you're experiencing these symptoms, it's a good idea to consult a gynecologist to find out the cause.
