I am a kidney patient GFR61 and creatinine 1.08 level CKD stage 2 now Can my kidney function improve and can my kidneys get cured completely and recover without any side effects and without any further damage by Homeopathic medicines and treatment faster

Female | 70

In CKD stage 2, the kidney function is low and can be controlled. Homeopathy may relieve symptoms such as fatigue, edema, and high blood pressure. Still, full cure and recovery without side effects are not a warranty. To keep your kidneys safe, drink water, eat a healthy diet, and take your doctor's advice.

My father is suffering from CKD stage V now my USG report is showing ADPKD MY question is i recently joined gym for my body transformation fat to fit for that goal i have to eat 2 grams per body weight of protein is it good for my kidney also i want to add creatine supplement can i add that supplement

Male | 24

The function of the kidneys worsens when you eat large amounts of protein, and the kidney problems become more severe. The extremely high rates of creatine supplements can make the kidneys unable to function properly. Before you start any regimen, consult with your doctor to figure out the best approach that is right for your body.

ultra sound is showing 20 percent swelling in my left kidney for the past 2 year not getting response from doctors

Female | 66

Swelling in the kidney can stem from various factors, such as infection, fluid accumulation, or structural abnormalities. Symptoms might include back pain, changes in urination, or swelling in your legs. It’s crucial to address this with a healthcare professional for appropriate evaluation and management. They may recommend imaging studies or blood tests to identify the underlying cause. Don’t hesitate to seek a second opinion if you feel your concerns aren't being addressed. Your health is important, and ensuring clear communication with your doctor will help guide you toward the best treatment options.

Hello sir/mam, i have pain over left side abdomen from last 3 days, severe in morning and subsides as the day passes, fever, no burning sensation. Xray KUB is normal, Usg shows small renal cortical cyst and tiny calcific foci, features suggestive of pyelonephritis. Dr. gave me IV ceftriaxone for 10 days. Pain is still there after 2 days of treatment. What should i do for the cortical cyst ?

Male | 25

You have been experiencing pain in your left abdomen and have undergone treatment for pyelonephritis. An imaging scan showed that a small renal cyst slightly off the cortex in the kidney is the possible cause of some of your symptoms. Briefly, such cysts are usually benign and do not require treatment unless they grow or cause symptoms. In your situation, please continue to receive the necessary treatment for the infection, and they will also check the cyst to be sure it is not causing any inconvenience.

Hi I have a kidney cyst and it's been 8 months since I attended to it is this really not good or what should I do I'm scared

Female | 33

Discovering kidney cysts can be frightening, but stay calm—they're usually harmless and symptom-free. However, if you experience back pain, blood in your urine, or high blood pressure, see a nephrologist promptly. They will likely order tests to assess the situation properly. Delaying care for eight months is inadvisable; prompt evaluation ensures your well-being. Though usually benign, ignoring potential issues can lead to complications. With timely check-ups and appropriate treatment, kidney cysts are manageable.

5mm stone left renal calculus and there is hard pain in kidney

Male | 25

A 5mm kidney stone in your left side can cause severe pain. Urine minerals gather and create the stone. Intense, stabbing pain may spread to your back or abdomen. Drink lots of water to help flush out the stone. Your nephrologist might give medicine to ease pain and help the stone pass more easily. In some cases, they may do a procedure to break up or remove the stone. Follow your doctor's advice carefully to manage the pain and get rid of that stone.

I am 36 years old, a few days ago I had severe pain in my back and stomach, I got sonography done and kidney stones were detected. Now whenever I take a long breath, it hurts, I feel mild pain all day long, there is slight bleeding in the phlegm also

Female | 36

The back and abdominal discomfort you’re experiencing could be associated with kidney stones, which may also lead to irritation. The pain while breathing, along with blood in your phlegm, suggests a need for further evaluation. These signs, while often manageable, should not be overlooked. I recommend scheduling an appointment with your healthcare provider for a thorough examination and appropriate treatment. Staying hydrated and avoiding strenuous activity can be beneficial in the meantime.

For a dialysis patient unwell for a year, it’s important to stay alert to symptoms like fatigue, swelling, or difficulty breathing, as these may indicate the dialysis isn’t working effectively. This can happen due to missed treatments, not taking medications, or poor diet choices. It's essential to consult the dialysis team to address these issues and adjust the treatment plan for better health.
