The National Cancer Institute is a quaternary care oncology facility that was established in 2012. As a comprehensive care facility, NCI excels in basic, clinical, and epidemiological research in addition to providing top-notch cancer care. General cancer care is just one aspect of NCI. The NCI focuses particularly on cancers that are common among women and children.

• The NCI's surgical oncology division contains five consulting rooms, a 12-bed surgical intensive care unit, four major operating rooms, a frozen section, seven full-time surgical oncologists, one full-time plastic and reconstructive surgeon, and 39 indoor beds for surgical patients.
• Two brand-new, state-of-the-art linear accelerators and a GammaMedPlus iX 24 channel HDR brachytherapy machine are available at the Radiation Oncology department at NCI. In addition to a 1.5 Tesla MRI, the radiation department features a dedicated Wide Bore CT Scanner for simulation.
• The National Cancer Institute's Radiology Department is a State-of-the-Art Imaging Department that carries out complex diagnostic (morphologic & functional) imaging as well as frequent and technically demanding image-guided operations.
• The only dedicated paediatric cancer unit in central India, the department of paediatric oncology is the first of its kind.
• The Department of Laboratory Medicine is backed by the most up-to-date equipment, which produces accurate, dependable, and repeatable data, assisting oncologists in making informed decisions about patient management.
