Am I Pregnant with Hyperthyroidism After Positive Test?

Patient's Query

I had some doubt that I'm pregnant or not and I have hyperthyroidism 35days period cycle it's been 37days and i have tested pregnancy test it had mild line..I'm pregnant or not

Answered by Dr. Swapna Chekuri

Perhaps the late menstrual period and the faint line on the pregnancy test indicate pregnancy, yet this is not final evidence. Hyperthyroidism may affect the period, as well as hormone levels, which could lead to inconsistencies. I strongly suggest that you re-take the pregnancy test after a few days for more accurate results. Besides that, you are recommended to see a gynecologist and look at your symptoms, other tests that might be needed, and how the condition of the thyroid gland can be related to your special case.

On May 12 I did pregnant test I have seen faint line again on May 16 I have seen very light faint line that too black colour now I am consive or not

Female | 22

A faint line on a pregnancy test can indicate a positive result, but it's crucial to follow the test's instructions for accurate interpretation. For reliable results, repeat the test using the first morning urine.

Female | 28

When the beta hCG level is under 5.00 mIU/ml, it means no pregnancy is detected. If you think pregnancy's possible, you can retest later.

I had protected sex on Feb 8th and taken i-pill and got withdrawal bleeding after 5 days. Then again I had protected sex on Feb 25th and I took i-pill and didn't get the bleeding. Is it because I may get pregnant?

Female | 22

Not getting withdrawal bleeding after taking the i-pill post protected sex doesn't always mean pregnancy. The emergency contraceptive can sometimes affect your menstrual cycle. However, if you're still worried, you can take a home pregnancy test a few weeks later to ease your mind.
