Blood in stool without pain
Surgical Gastroenterologist
Answered on 6th Aug '24
Spotting blood in your stool without pain can alarm you. This may stem from mild conditions like piles or constipation. However, it could also signal concerning issues like ulcers, growths, or inflammation in your gut. Consuming fiber-rich foods, staying hydrated, and consulting a gastroenterologist will identify the cause and suitable treatment.

I usually have bowel movements once per day. This remains the same yet on Sunday I saw bright red blood on the toilet paper after wiping my bottom. It took several wipes for the blood to clear away. Each wipe had marginally less blood. All in all I wiped away around two tablespoons of bright red blood. I checked my stool and the bright red blood was intermixed with the stool. It stained the inside of the toilet with bright red streaks of blood as it caught the inside edge of the toilet basin. Aside the blood in the stool, there was no other blood pooled at the bottom of the toilet water. This has happened each day since. There is only blood during bowel movement. I don't have constipation and don't need to strain to defecate. The stool is of a normal size, colour and consistency. Neither big nor hard to cause an anal fissure on exit. I have no pain, no constipation, no itchy bottom, no fatigue, no lightheadedness, no fever, no unintended weight loss. I am a man aged 40 with no other health complaints.

Hi iam 23years old girl suffering from belches all the time whether I eat or not no matter what I do all the time iam getting belches.
Female | 23
Burping, or belching, can happen when you swallow too much air. This may occur if you eat too quickly, chew gum, or drink fizzy beverages. Sometimes, belching results from acid reflux - stomach acid rising into your throat. To reduce belching, try these tips: Eat slowly. Avoid carbonated drinks. Don't talk while eating. If belching persists, consult a gastroenterologist to identify potential underlying causes.

Since the ultrasound and urine tests turned out normal, possible reasons for the symptoms may be. Typical causes in little ones can be food intolerance, stress, or anxiety. It is advisable to monitor if she is grey with certain foods before experiencing them or if she is angry all of a sudden and feels sick. I am a girl and I am almost 17 years old actually since I was a child I had the constipation problem but that hasn't really affected me since yesterday Actually yesterday I constipation but at the same time I was bleeding a lot from my anus but as soon as I stop pooping the blood stopped but that area still burns and today I went again to the toilet and I am bleeding again I am so stressed pls tell me what might me the cause and what should I do?? My stomach hurts a lot and also my lower back I want to go to the toilet but I am scared of bleeding.
Female | 17
You may be suffering from a fissure in the anus. It is a small cut in the skin lining of the anus, which can cause pain and bleeding during bowel movement. Probably, the constipation is the reason why the fissure is more irritated. To relieve the situation, a high-fiber diet, drinking more water, and avoiding exertion when defecating may be helpful. You may also use over-the-counter creams for the pain and burning feeling. If the symptoms stay or worsen, urgent attention from a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis and medical precautions is crucial.

It would therefore be advisable for one to temporarily keep off such foods until they undergo treatment for this condition. In order to reduce distress while being treated for H. pylori, it is recommended that you take a mild diet comprising foods that do not cause any harm to your stomach.
