You are experiencing discomfort after taking an emergency contraceptive. Common side effects can include abdominal pain, nausea, or fatigue due to hormonal changes. Listening to your body is essential; if the pain is severe or persistent, please seek medical attention as soon as possible. A gynecologist can provide guidance and ensure you receive the right care tailored to your needs.

Female | 20
This may be a symptom of a miscarriage. A miscarriage is when the pregnancy is not able to go on and the body has to get rid of the tissue. If you are experiencing these symptoms, it is crucial to seek a gynecologist immediately. They can assist in finding out what is going on and giving you the most appropriate treatment.

I had spotting instead of normal period, on the day I had that spotting I went for blood pregnancy test and it came out negative....3days after the spotting my breast became heavy n full.. what could be the problem
Female | 26
You experienced spotting instead of your normal period, followed by heavy and full breasts. Since the pregnancy test was negative, pregnancy is unlikely. These changes could be due to a hormone issue. It's important to see a gynecologist to check for any problems and receive appropriate treatment.

Female | 30
Pain during the latter half part of a woman’s menstrual cycle (18th to 30th day) is not normal. It could mean that she has conditions such as endometriosis and fibroids. Additional signs may include heavy periods along with pelvic discomfort. These signs may also be related to hormonal imbalance. You need to speak with a gynecologist so that they can assess you further and give treatment options that are suited for your specific case.

Female | 25
An HCG level of 2622.43 mlU/ml indicates a positive pregnancy test. HCG is a hormone produced during pregnancy, and its presence in a woman's blood or urine is a strong indicator of pregnancy. However, the HCG levels can vary widely between individuals.

I’m 21 years old female I have pid and have been using ofloxacin to cure it since last three months I bought one this month and it didn’t work for me Can I use metronidazole to treat pid
Female | 21
It is important to visit the doctor if you are experiencing any of the following pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) symptoms, such as; pelvic pain, high body temperature, and unusual discharge. If ofloxacin does not cure you, I suggest you not replace it with metronidazole, as PID usually needs a variety of drugs to be healed properly, without first consulting a doctor. I advise that you make an appointment with your gynecologist to discuss the symptoms and find the most suitable approach. This can only be achieved through timely management and regular health checks by PID.

Hi doctor, I need few suggestions from you Please guide me My name is swathi age is 29 Currently 37 weeks and 5 days I had recent check ups where doc said like I have high BP and my amniotic fluid is reduced from 14.8 to 11 .after following the tablets and injection.we have another check up where doc advised to take bp tablet for 3 times and also mentioned that my baby heart rate is 171 and Umbilical artery PI is high with fetal tachy cardia . After check up I have temperature of 99 F . So doc advised to take medicine for cold .as I have slight cold from last night .Another visit is after 2 days Could you please suggest me what to do for this like precaution to be taken or what can I do to maintain for good health of my baby
Female | 29
Elevated blood pressure during pregnancy risks complications. Low amniotic fluid requires close observation. Rapid fetal heart rate raises alarm. Fever potentially signals infection. Consistently take blood pressure medication. Hydrate well to promote amniotic fluid production. Rest adequately. Consult your gynecologist promptly for guidance addressing these issues.

I had intercourse last night . And today morning I took an I-pill and did pregnancy test which was negetive. Will I still get pregnant?
Female | 24
An emergency contraceptive pill, such as the pill you took (I-pill), can be very effective in preventing pregnancy even after intercourse. The negative result on the pregnancy test is good. Keep in mind that there is no such thing as a 100% safe birth control method, even emergency pills are not so. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, contact a gynecologist for further information and help.

35 Female with lower abdominal pains below the belly button, bilateral(on both the left and right sides) unilateral in nature(where one sided pain occurs). Sharp and pinpoint to same location for both left and right sides, directly across from each other. happening since October 2021, coincided with period first occurrence on right side 2021 thought it was a cyst at first. Went away until the second occurrence on June 19th, 2022(period cycle then was June 8th - 16th), right side. Went away and returned September 25th, 2022 on left side this time(period cycle for September 2022 was the 3rd through 11th), it occurred again in January 7th 2023 on the right side(period cycle for January 2023 a skipped period) at this point I still thought it was was cyst like pain or even ovulation pain bothering me,so I went to gynecologist, they thought it could be large intestine related due to the location of the pains. I got an ultrasound that came back normal in February of 2023. The same day i had the ultrasound, I went to medexpress to get my physical for my driver's permit, and they suggested asking my previous pcp for a ct scan, to check my appendix. It was hard to get into my previous pcp as I didn't see them in 3 years so I wasn't established. I reached out to the gynecologist I saw in january of 2023, in June 2023 when I had another occurrence of the pain, to see about getting a ct scan. It was approved by insurance, but ultimately denied under physician review( by the supervising gynecologist, and my previous pcp, because my ultrasound was normal). I then established care in December of 2023, with a new pcpx who is suspicious that my pains are coming from ibs mixed with spasms. I am taking dicyclomine 10 mg 4 times a day as needed, but it's not really doing anything when the pains occur. My pcp also changed my dicyclomine to a 45 day supply as I asked in a different question. I also met with a surgeon in March of 2024 due to a large gallstone, as my pcp said they were common in people my age. The surgeon gave a complete different answer than what I have been given before, and he thought my pains could be coming from endometriosis. The surgeon performed my cholecystectomy, on May 29th, and did a general exploration during it, but found no endometriosis. My pcp still suggested getting an evaluation for endometriosis just to know we didn't miss anything, as well as getting evaluated by a gastroenterologist. As my pains have still been continuing. What could these pains be coming from? I feel like I will be tossed back and forth between gynecology and gastroenterology, and I don't want that at all. Some helpful info: My new pcp also diagnosed me with pcos as I fit the criteria for it with my irregular period cycles, despite my bloodwork and ultrasound coming back normal. I also had the cbc; comprehensive metabolic panel; celiac; thyroid; A1C; ESR; and C-Reactive protein all tested in December of 2023 when I met with my new pcp. The only two that came back as abnormal were my ESR at 34 and C-Reactive protein at 29.7
Female | 35
You have been through a lot with your abdominal pains. Therefore, considering the normal ultrasound results and the new suspicion of endometriosis from the surgeon, your pain may be due to endometriosis, the condition wherein tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus that can result in cyclical sharp pelvic pain. It's okay to talk to a gynecologist about more tests and treatments. Besides, you might want to see a gastroenterologist, too, so as to eliminate the probability of any intestinal problems causing the symptoms you are having.

Is it possible to get pregnant with no symptoms and delivery in six months without swollen belly or increase in belly size
Female | 23
Unexpectedly having a baby after six months without visible signs can happen. This rare occurrence, called cryptic pregnancy, means the baby grew unusually, hiding typical clues. But if this occurs, it's essential to visit a gynecologist. They'll ensure the baby and mother are healthy and safe.

Some people may experience changes in their periods after stopping birth control. Their cycles may become irregular. This happens as their bodies adjust to hormone changes. Irregular bleeding, spotting, or changes in flow could occur. To help regulate periods, it's beneficial to exercise regularly and eat a balanced diet. If concerned, or if symptoms persist, it's wise to consult a gynecologist for personalized advice.

I got my period on January 26th and it lasted for about 5 days . Then on 2nd of Feb i had unprotected sex in which ejaculation did not happen but I still took an i pill on 4th of Feb. In that week I had vaginal spotting for about two days. On 26th Feb i had sex where the contraceptive broke but still there was no ejaculation and I took an i pill again on 27th Feb. I have not got my period. Is there a chance I might be pregnant
Female | 20
Pregnancy odds drop when there's no ejaculation. However, those emergency pills could shift your cycle timing. Stress, sickness, hormones - any of those factors may delay periods too. To soothe concerns, consider a home pregnancy test for confirmation.

I am 16 years my vagina started itching and cheesy smelling discharge it started on last Saturday
Female | 16
It seems that you may have a yeast infection. Yeast infections can occur in girls of any age. They may cause itching and a discharge that looks like cottage cheese. When the body’s pH balance is thrown off, yeast infections are more likely. Cotton underwear should be worn and tight clothing should be avoided. You can buy over-the-counter creams for yeast infections. If the problem doesn’t get better, talk to a gynecologist. Keep the area clean and dry and try not to scratch it.

Hello I was recently diagnosed with PCOS/amenorrhea from my ultrasound. I am also overweight. They have prescribed be 5 days of provera and 3 months worth of drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol tablets (birth control) to help me menstruate again. My family does not want me to take medication or birth control again because of the side affects it has and the hormonal changes it has to my body Are those two medications the only way solution for me?
Female | 25
PCOS impacts periods, weight, and fertility. You skip periods in amenorrhea. Medications regulate your cycle. Nutritious food and workouts help symptoms. Discuss concerns with your gynecologist and derive a treatment plan.
