Some people may experience changes in their periods after stopping birth control. Their cycles may become irregular. This happens as their bodies adjust to hormone changes. Irregular bleeding, spotting, or changes in flow could occur. To help regulate periods, it's beneficial to exercise regularly and eat a balanced diet. If concerned, or if symptoms persist, it's wise to consult a gynecologist for personalized advice.

If you're experiencing pregnancy symptoms, then it's best to take a pregnancy test at home or a blood test to confirm.

I had protected intercourse on 21st March, I got my periods on 29th March but on 20th April I had slight bleeding and till now I have not had my periods, what is the problem
Female | 22
You may have unpredictable bleeding. Reasons like hormones, stress, and pregnancy cause this. Stress delays periods, and causes spotting sometimes. A healthy lifestyle with good food and exercise helps regulate cycles. If it continues or you're worried, talk to a gynecologist.

Hello doc am 26yrs,,there's something that has been bothering me lately,,so I had implant for 5 yrs and got removed and immediately I got another one, so it happened the first month I engaged in sex with my man and I was on my periods,,since then am worried if it's possible ican get pregnant
Female | 26
While the implant is highly effective in preventing pregnancy, it can take some time for your hormones to stabilize after insertion. If you had unprotected intercourse during your period, the likelihood of conceiving is low, but not impossible. Symptoms to watch for include missed periods or unusual changes in your cycle. If you remain worried, a home pregnancy test or a consultation with your gynecologist can provide clarity and reassurance.

Female | 28
Experiencing discomfort or pain after sexual intercourse following a hysterectomy is common. It's important to take it slow, use lubrication, and communicate with your partner. Still if the pain is severe or persistent, seek medical attention. Consult your gynecologist or surgeon for personal guidance.

Do I still have my hymen intact? I'm 20 years old I have period the day I decided to have my first sex. I didn't know I was already on my period and that's why I possibly decide to have my first sex. I'm curious as to know whether I'm still a virgin or not. Thank you
Female | 20
It’s important to note that the presence or absence of the hymen does not determine one's virginity. The hymen can stretch or tear through various activities, including tampon use or physical exercise, not just sexual intercourse. If you're concerned about any changes or discomfort, it’s best to consult a gynecologist for a thorough examination and reassurance. Remember, engaging in sexual activity is a personal decision and does not define your worth or identity.

I m 24 year old ... I m not getting my periods ..
Female | 24
It's understandable to be concerned about missed periods. Various factors can contribute, such as hormonal imbalances, stress, significant weight changes, or underlying health issues. In addition to the absence of menstruation, you may experience symptoms like mood fluctuations or changes in appetite. It's important to maintain a balanced diet, manage stress levels, and consider keeping a record of your cycles. However, since this can be a sign of various health conditions, I encourage you to consult a gynecologist who can provide personalized advice and conduct any necessary assessments for your peace of mind.

Female | 27
Period irregularities are common, but if you miss one, it usually makes you nervous. The leading cause may be pregnancy. Besides that, the situation might be caused by stress, unexpected weight fluctuations, hormonal disarray, or some medical conditions. If pregnancy is not the reason, see your gynecologist to discover the cause of the delay.

I have a serious enquiry, I met my long distance girlfriend on the 12th November in Malaysia, I went home on the 22nd 1 Week before me flying on the 11th she had stopped taking birth control We had sex numerous times that week and on two occasions we had faulty condoms and I accidentally came inside her Both of those occasions we did it on the night and the day after she took plan B (morning after pill) The first time it happened she took the morning after pill two days before her ovulation day and the second time she took a day before I left. Do you think there is a chance she could be pregnant, if so how much % wise?
Female | 24
According to the information you have provided, there is a 1-2% chance of pregnancy when emergency contraception pills are taken correctly (e.g., plan B). Common signs of a pregnancy are a skipped period, queasiness, fatigue, and breast tenderness. Further, she can also use a pregnancy test about 3 weeks after the last time you had unprotected sex, just to make sure of that. Staying informed and taking care.

Hi. I went to my OBGYN some time ago and he told me that I have infantile uterus / hypoplasia. I don't know what stage, but I think he mentioned children's uterus. He said that my ovaries are OK. So, I'm wondering now: will I be able to have kids when the time comes? Thanks!
Female | 29
It looks like your uterus is small because of being a uterus with infantilism or hypoplasia. This might mean that you won't be able to support a pregnancy as well since the space inside will be too small for the baby to grow in. Also, it’s great news that everything’s normal with your ovaries because they are important for making eggs during conception. To know more about what these results could imply for having children later in life, talk to an OBGYN near you.

It's completely normal to experience unusual sensations or missed periods, which can occur due to various reasons such as stress, hormonal changes, or underlying medical conditions. Feeling something inside could be related to natural anatomical structures. Pay attention to any additional symptoms, such as pain or discomfort. Modifying the hormones, depression, a different form of prescription, or tripping your lifestyle are all potential reasons for the time to stick. Because you are now actively following your regimen, one of your points is to keep an eye on any other symptoms that may arise while the medicine is being worn. The use of a condom reduces the possibility of getting pregnant, yet a woman can miss her period because there are many other reasons. I would advise you to contact a gynecologist for your situation; they can provide you with specialized advice based on your medical history.

I have a miscarriage and have been passing out the blood what can I take
Female | 33
It’s scary to pass out so much blood, but it’s normal after a miscarriage. This happens when the body gets rid of everything from the womb. If you feel dizzy or weak, lie down and lift your legs. Drink plenty of fluids and have a lot of sleep. In case you lose too much blood or start feeling very sick, consult a gynecologist right away.
