Can I Seek Advice on Premature Grey Hair?
Consultation regarding premature grey hair
Dermatologist
Answered on 4th Sept '24
Premature gray hair occurs when your hair loses its natural color earlier than expected, often before the age of 30. You may notice gray hair becoming more common or see more gray strands than usual. The main cause is usually genetics, but factors like stress, poor diet, and certain medical conditions can also contribute. Maintaining a balanced diet, managing stress, and using hair products with vitamins can help support hair health and slow the graying process.

I am having a fissured tongue and fissures in some parts of my cheeks too . I used plain yogurt for 3-4 days and the fissures were almost nil but after a week it seems like the fissures are back . It is getting hard to eat food and even my stomach feels upset.
Male | 43
You are going through a medical condition termed oral fissures, that appear on your tongue and inside your mouth. These cracks could be caused by various things such as dry mouth, infections, or lack of proper diet. Eating plain yogurt might have temporarily stopped them from appearing, but not to bring them back, make sure you drink water, eat soft food, and don't eat spicy or acidic foods. If the fissures still appear, visit a dentist/dermatologist for the necessary checks.

Hello I'm lakshita and I'm 18 years old.. I'm facing small rashes inside my vaginal lips and a bit swelling on it.. I consulted doc and she gave me permethrin cream but it didn't give me results.. can you please suggest me some medication
Female | 18
Yeast infection or allergic reaction can be the reason for small rashes and swelling inside your vaginal lips. If the permethrin cream wasn't effective, you might need to try a different treatment such as an antifungal cream or oral medication. Make it a point to keep it clean and dry. Drinking enough water can also help. If the symptoms don't go away, see your dermatologist again.

on 08/05/2024,suddenly i felt pain in my left breast. The pain went away after taking a pain killer. (hifenac sp).But after six days (on 14/052024)when I squeezed my breast,i found a pus like discharge from the same breast.next day i went to the doctor and i uploaded the prescription.now when i squeeze my breast i can see pus. i have two children.younger one is 4 year and 5 months old.no lump is felt.when will it be cured?should i stop squeezing breast?please help.
Female | 34
It seems like you are going through mastitis which is an infection in the breast tissue. The pus-like discharge is a sign of infection. Mastitis can result from bacteria entering the breast via a cracked nipple or blocked milk duct. It is important to keep on taking any prescribed antibiotics and not to squeeze the breast because it can make the infection worse. Ensure you feed and pump frequently in order to clear the infection. With proper treatment and rest, mastitis can generally be cured within a week.

i don't have any symptoms of piles. i don't have pain or bleeding but a small pimple has appeared on my anus hole lining. it's almost 3 days now it's appeared suddenly
Female | 24
The small pimple you mentioned could be a hemorrhoid. Swollen blood vessels are just one of the forms of hemorrhage in the rectum. They can appear suddenly and may not always cause pain or bleeding. The usual suspects are excessive straining during bowel movements and long periods of sitting. I recommend drinking enough water, eating fiber-rich foods, and avoiding straining. If the problem is still there, see a gastroenterologist for the right evaluation and treatment.

I am 16 year old and I am suffering from hair thinning, hair loss and dandruff what do I do??
Male | 16
You’re battling with hair thinning, hair loss, and dandruff at only 16. Stress, poor diet, or genetics can cause hair to get thin and fall out. Dandruff is often because of dry skin on your head or another condition that affects the scalp. Use a mild shampoo for dandruff and eat well for healthier hair growth. Speaking with a dermatologist may provide additional assistance.

Itching and tingling sensations can have many causes. For example, dry skin, allergies, and insect bites. First, try moisturizing well. If no relief, anti-itch creams may help. However, if symptoms don't improve or worsen, see a dermatologist. It's wise to monitor persistent or worsening itching and tingling.

Can I take pistonor 2 while taking centrizine
Female | 23
Cetirizine helps with allergies. Pistonor 2 also helps with allergies. Taking both medications together can make you sleepy and dizzy. It's better to take one medication at a time for allergies. If allergies are difficult, ask your doctor for other solutions. But don't mix Cetirizine and Pistonor 2.

I have a acne problem which are very visible angs sopts are very big in size
Male | 29
This is a common skin condition that occurs when the pores of your skin are clogged with oil and dead cells. This can lead to the formation of red inflamed bumps. At times, it is a result of hormonal changes or genetics. Treating your face gently by washing it with a mild soap, refraining from pinching these pimples plus using products containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid can help clear the acne.
If this doesn’t work, see a dermatologist for more advice on caring for your skin.

Hello ,I do waxing after delivery my baby is 2.5 months old and after waxing I am having rashes on full body very itchy what is the reason behind this
Female | 28
You seem to have an allergic response after your waxing. Wax ingredients can irritate sensitive skin, causing itchy rashes all over. Try a gentle lotion and don't scratch irritated spots. However, if rashes worsen or persist, consult a dermatologist promptly for proper evaluation and treatment.

Iam 18 year old my heel is cracking too much and I consult the doctor he said infection your heels then I will test CBC everything good but my wbc is high can you see my report
Male | 18
High levels of white blood cells usually indicate your body is fighting an infection. This could be the reason why your heels are cracking. The usual culprits are fungal infections and conditions such as eczema. Your dermatologist may help by prescribing antifungal creams or may suggest moisturizing regularly to alleviate your heels.

Psoriasis Do you have the treatment for this disease? The child is in a lot of pain, please help us a little.
Male | 26
Psoriasis is a common disease that causes red, painful, and rough patches on the skin. It happens when the immune system goes out of control and skin cells grow too fast. A dermatologist can prescribe therapy to relieve the skin. After treatment, using creams or lotions helps reduce dryness and itching. Keeping the skin clean and well-moisturized can also help reduce discomfort.

Dear Dr. Ganesh Avhad, My name is Dr. Katarina Popovic. I am writing to you on behalf of my cousin who has a medical condition where your expertise would be appreciated. My cousin is a male in his early forties. Twelve years ago he was diagnosed with Acne keloidalis nuchae. There were three operative attempts to remove the acne, he was on various antibiotic therapies, also a therapy with Volon ampoules - all without any improvement. The acne are often bleeding. We were wondering if you have any recommendation for my cousin’s treatment. Looking forward to hearing from you. Best, Dr. Katarina Popovic
Male | 43
Acne keloidalis nuchae is characterized by the emergence of bumpy and painful acne on the back of the head and neck. This is a result of inflammation of the hair follicles. A dermatologist may recommend laser therapy or steroid injections to minimize inflammation for treatment. It is also advisable to keep the area clean to avoid infections.

I(22f) lost 20 kgs in 2022 and since then I am suffering from hairfall. I got blood test 2 months ago and I was deficient in vit d(9.44mg/ml) and iron(30). Doctor prescribed 60000iu shots twice weekly and a tablet for daily with additional 1000iu. Also taking iron supplement. For 2-3 weeks ny hair fall came down to 10-15 strans but slowly started increasing and now at 2 months it's more than 100 per day. Before starting supplements it was 40-50. What happened?
Female | 22
The pills might be starting to work. Not having enough vitamin D or iron can make your hair fall out. You may not get all the nutrients you need from them for a while, even if you’re beginning to see things get better. These are some things that need time. Remember not to be anxious and impatient since new hair will only grow slowly. In case everything remains unchanged, contact a dermatologist for more instructions.

I have rash which is spreading from the week. I want to know what’s the solution.
Male | 69
The rash may occur because of various causes, such as allergies, infectious agents, and skin disorders. Reporting may cover redness, itching, or bumps. To aid it, wash with mild soaps, avoid irritants, and keep the area free of moisture and dirt. If it doesn't disappear or you have any other symptoms, you are advised to go to a dermatologist.

I have an allergy. Now the blisters have appeared and there is itching associated with it.
Male | 19
You seem to have a skin allergy. When something irritates the body, allergies make blisters and itching happens. They're the body's defense against things it rejects. To feel better, try a cold pack or a mild lotion. But see a dermatologist if symptoms persist.

I think mujhe alergy hai but kisse I don't know meri back p or neck p or aage ki side bhot sari funsies like pimples something like that bhot sare ho rkhe h my back is full of that eska reason kya h what is the solution of this problem.
Female | 22
You might have acne, a skin issue that causes small pimples on your back, neck, and chest. Acne happens when oil and dead skin cells clog hair follicles. Hormones, stress, or certain foods can sometimes trigger acne flare-ups. To help reduce acne, gently wash the affected areas with a mild cleanser and avoid using oily products. If it's bothering you, see a dermatologist.

sir my mother is suffering with itching all over body and rashes dark patch pigments on body for years i shown her to derma doctors but no positive results please give medication and any tests i used medicine like avil tab and inj atarax tab levocetrizine tab deflazacort tab creams lotions but no use and results please help
Female | 72
Itching all over the body with rashes, dark patches, and pigmentation could be due to several reasons including allergies, skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis, and hormonal imbalances. I see you have used drugs but sometimes it is necessary for one to get a clear understanding for effective treatment. Therefore, I would advise that she gets referred to an expert such as an allergist or dermatologist who will conduct more tests maybe even skin biopsies or blood works so that they can be able to identify the cause exactly. After which they can then give her specific treatments meant for that condition which will help reduce the signs.
