Could I be pregnant at 44 after 66-day cycle?
I am 44 years old, got periods after 66 days , period was for 4 days. Any possibility to be pregnant?

Answered on 28th Jan '25
At 44, experiencing infrequent menstrual cycles can happen due to hormonal changes, stress, or other factors. While pregnancy is possible, especially if you've had unprotected intercourse, it’s essential to consider other causes for your symptoms. Irregular bleeding may also indicate conditions like perimenopause or fibroids. To address your concerns, I recommend taking a home pregnancy test for clarity. Additionally, scheduling an appointment with a gynecologist can help determine the underlying cause and discuss potential solutions tailored to you.

Last months Jan 2024 I had unprotected intercourse approx a week before my actual period date, after which I took an SOS contraceptive pill and I got my periods too on 28th Jan. Now this month is about to end and I still haven't got my periods
Female | 23
Taking emergency contraception might delay your period. Stress causes hormonal changes too, affecting your cycle. If nausea or breast tenderness accompanies your missed period, taking a home pregnancy test makes sense. If your period still hasn't arrived, consulting a gynecologist becomes advisable for proper guidance.

My vaginal discharge texture is like curd type and my vagina hole is itchy too what to do ??
Female | 18
A curd-like vaginal discharge and itchiness can be signs of a yeast infection. Yeast infections are common and usually not serious. They can happen when there is an imbalance in your vagina. You can try using over-the-counter antifungal creams or suppositories to treat it. Avoid wearing tight clothing and practice good hygiene to prevent future infections. If you are still feeling the symptoms, consult a gynecologist for help.

Iam two and half months pregnant and now I am experiencing little spotting and bleeding
Female | 30
It's normal for pregnant women to sometimes experience light spotting or bleeding early on. This can be caused by hormonal changes or when the embryo implants in the uterus. However, it's always important to inform your gynecologist about any bleeding during pregnancy. They will check to ensure everything is fine.

What allergy medications are safe for me to take at 8 weeks pregnant?
Female | 21
Medications taken during the pregnancy must be preserved with caution. While the use of some medications is being discouraged during pregnancy, there are a few that are proven safe for use including old antihistamines like loratadine or cetirizine. It is highly recommended to contact an obstetrician or a gynecologist to discuss your case and get specific recommendations.

i missed my period for 15 days now, not pregnant with my tubes tied . what could be the problem
Female | 44
Not getting your period when you're not expecting a baby, and after having your tubes tied, can feel worrisome. Potential culprits: stress, weight fluctuations, hormonal imbalances, or medical issues like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Some signs: bloatedness, tender breasts, mood swings. Simple fixes: drink H2O, eat well-balanced meals, manage your stress levels. However, if your periods keep being irregular, talking with your gynecologist is wise.

Hi,I’ve experienced a missed period and I’d like clarification on what it is.I’ve gotten my period every month this year,my last period was on the 7th of October till the 12th of october,I did not receive my period on the expected date that I thought u would,I’m currently a week late
Female | 17
This can be caused by factors like stress, body weight changes, hormonal imbalances, or even pregnancy. Keeping in the know means it is best to keep track of other symptoms, like, if you have been feeling weak or your breasts are tender whether they are or are not is a good thing to know. If you are worried, you should test and talk to your gynecologist.

i have PCOS. I missed my periods for 28 days and in between those 28 days i had protected sex. after 28 days i took Meprate and my periods came after. Is there any chance of getting pregnant even if i had my periods?
Female | 20
MISSING periods in PCOS is common.. Protected sex reduces pregnancy risk. Meprate is used to induce periods.. Periods indicate NO pregnancy possibility..

I have missed my period .
Female | 20
It is a common thing for girls to skip their periods now and then. There can be many reasons for this; it might be due to stress, weight fluctuations, or even hormonal imbalances during the teenage period. Other causes are thyroid problems or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). If you are sexually active, pregnancy may also be the reason. If the doctor is unsure, take a pregnancy test or talk to a parent or guardian about visiting a gynecologist to be sure.

I have my periods 8 days after my periods is this because i tk ipill??
Female | 30
The changes in your menstrual cycle can occur while taking the i-pill which is the emergency contraception pill. For me expectation of your period's regularity you should see a gynecologist to do a thorough check.

I had what can be classified as unprotected sex on 27th August (this is because I was experiencing diarrhea which reduced my regular combined pill efficiency and protection). Partner pulled out twice, we shower in between and clean. I took emergency contraception within 24 hours (brand: andalan postpil) and had one last diarrhea nearly 3 hours later (a bit less I think) after taking the pill. Would the emergency contraception be effective (I also have BMI of 30.5) or do I need to take another emergency pill?
Female | 22
Taking the emergency contraception pill is a very effective way of preventing pregnancy. Apart from that, you took the emergency pill which was the right move, and you experienced diarrhea, which can lower the effectiveness of the pill. Pay attention to any unusual symptoms and if you are worried, it is always better to consult a gynecologist.

I've had my period for 15 days now and it's just light bleeding.
Female | 25
It is also not unusual for the menstrual flow to last longer than the usual 3-7 days, and if it goes on for 15 days, it may mean there is something wrong with you. It is advisable to set an appointment with a gynecologist who will examine your situation and suggest effective treatment.

Good morning Doctor,, I got my period January 4th and saw another January ending ,, and so was supposed to see it in February but I haven't seen it up til date I don't know what the problem is
Female | 22
Your menstrual cycle appears delayed, something caused by various factors. Stress, abrupt weight fluctuations, hormone imbalances, or health issues like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) might explain this. If sexually active, pregnancy remains a potential reason. Consulting a gynecologist would provide clarity, allowing exploration of suitable next steps.

Bleeding continue 1month and 22 days after c-section delivery. What is the reason and how to stop it ?
Female | 29
BLEEDING AFTER C-SECTION can last for weeks.. However, 1 month and 22 days is too long. The cause MAY BE an infection, uterine rupture OR RETAINED PLACENTA.. To stop the bleeding, SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION immediately. Your doctor will perform an exam and recommend treatment based on the cause. POSSIBLE OPTIONS ARE antibiotics , surgery, or medication. Remember THAT IGNORING THE PROBLEM CAN LEAD TO SEVERE COMPLICATIONS..

My period is late for like 5 days or more and i don't know why
Female | 14
Periods being late is common, so you shouldn't panic straight away. It can also be stress, changes in weight, diet, or exercise habits. It could also be a sign of pregnancy if you've been sexually active. Just breathe deeply. If you are worried, you can take a home pregnancy test to calm you down. If you continue to have irregular periods, you should talk to a gynecologist.

When we do pregnancy test. It's negative.. But no periods from past 2 month
Female | 25
Many factors could cause your period to take a break. You might have been super stressed lately or experienced a significant weight change. Hormonal imbalances could also be the culprit. Sometimes, periods go missing for a bit, especially if you're young. It's usually no biggie! However, if this keeps happening, consult a gynecologist to see what's going on.

Female | 33
In a normal menstrual cycle, ovulation usually occurs around 14 days before the start of your next period. Since your period date is May 17, you can estimate your potential ovulation date by subtracting around 14 days.
