Is emergency contraception effective after unprotected sex with diarrhea?
I had what can be classified as unprotected sex on 27th August (this is because I was experiencing diarrhea which reduced my regular combined pill efficiency and protection). Partner pulled out twice, we shower in between and clean. I took emergency contraception within 24 hours (brand: andalan postpil) and had one last diarrhea nearly 3 hours later (a bit less I think) after taking the pill. Would the emergency contraception be effective (I also have BMI of 30.5) or do I need to take another emergency pill?

Taking the emergency contraception pill is a very effective way of preventing pregnancy. Apart from that, you took the emergency pill which was the right move, and you experienced diarrhea, which can lower the effectiveness of the pill. Pay attention to any unusual symptoms and if you are worried, it is always better to consult a gynecologist.

Iam 20 year female, I have a 26 day menstrual cycle. Every month 11th I have my menstrual period. This month 10th I had an unprotected Sex and it was my first sex. On 11th I didn't get my menstrual period. On 12th afternoon at 3 pm I took levonorgestrel pill. After that on 13th I felt dizziness and from 2 days iam frequently urinating. Now today the date is 16th it's been 5 days I have put on the pill. But I didn't get menstrual period. Iam very afraid. I don't want to get pregnant. Iam unmarried. Please check my situation.
Female | 20
The indications of instability, as well as frequent urination, are the side effects that come with the intake of a levonorgestrel pill, in some cases. One of the repercussions of this pill is an alteration in your menstrual cycle, i.e., a late period. More often than not, it is a typical reaction to developed bleeding, i.e., the moment after the pill is consumed when the period is expected. Keep a cool head and try to avoid getting stressed out, because stress has an impact on your period. If you did not have your period after the first week or two, it is advisable to take a pregnancy test to be 100% sure.

I have unprotected sex on 3rd day of period but he finished outside. Should i buy emergency contraception?
Female | 27
Certainly, you should take the pill of emergency birth control maximum in 72 hours since an unprotected sex to avoid unwanted pregnancy. I recommend that you consult a gynecologist for more directions and to get on various procedures.

Hello, I have been taking birth control pills every day for 3 months. I don't drink at the same time every day, but I always drink at night. I took a 7-day break. And on the first day of this seven-day break, we were together and it emptied into me. What are my chances of getting pregnant? Will I get pregnant? Birth control pills are said to protect for 7 days. Should I stop suspecting in this case?My other two questions are: Should I take the morning after pill? If my period doesn't start in this 7-day break, does it mean I'm pregnant?
Female | 21
Yes there is still a possibility of pregnancy, although the risk may be relatively low. Taking the morning-after pill can be an option to further reduce the risk, but it is best to consult with a gynecologist first.

I have two times of period last march and then for april until now i missed my periods, i also take some pregnancy test and it says negative, what happened why i missed my period?
Female | 19
It’s normal to miss a period even if the pregnancy test says negative. Being nervous or having hormonal issues can make people miss their periods. Have you been under pressure lately or gained or lost some weight? If you have, that might be why you didn’t get your period. I would suggest that you keep an eye on your symptoms and go see a gynecologist if this continues to happen to you.

I am having pcod. I had IUI on 8th May. Doctor suggested progesterone for 15 days. I am on my progesterone dose and very light spotting.
Female | 27
PCOS causes not only problems with menstruation but also with ovulation, and anovulation, as it happens. When you're on progesterone therapy, you can get spotting due to hormone level instability. Spotting is a common sign of changes in the female body but usually is physiological. Except in rare cases, spotting during progesterone treatment is not a big deal but you must continue to follow all the prescriptions and keep your psychiatrist informed as well.

I am 35 Yr old female. Me and my husband have been trying for a baby for sometime. This time, I was 5 days late for my period and I thought I was preg. But 6th day I got blood when I wiped with tissue. But urine there was no blood. 2 full days have been over. My total blood flow has been 1 pad full only. This is different from my usual periods. I don't have major cramps like how I used to have during menses. My cramps are very mild. What should I do?
Female | 35
You are experiencing some changes in your menstrual cycle. It is commonplace to have spotting and minor cramps during the first few weeks of pregnancy. If your menstruation is starting, it might be a little different. Stress, hormonal changes, or even lifestyle factors could be some of the reasons for this. If the symptoms continue or worsen, you should talk to a gynecologist to get personalized advice.

I am 15 years old and I am very sexually active. Me and my partner haven’t used protection in a long time. I have been very red, irritated, and itchy down there and it’s very uncomfortable. what should I do? What could it be??
Female | 15
You might have a yeast infection. When the balance of the good and bad bacteria in your body is upset, yeast infections can occur. A burning sensation, redness, and irritation are common symptoms of a yeast infection in your private area. To relieve the discomfort, you may try over-the-counter antifungal creams. It is important to discuss this with a trusted adult or a gynecologist for proper assessment and treatment.

I’m experiencing lower abdominal pain on both the right and left side and the middle, this has been happening for a week. Started from sharp severe pain to mild and i suddenly got my period but still in pain.
Female | 22
This could be brought about by a couple of things such as period pains or even digestive problems. Sometimes it can hurt in more than one place at a time. Menstrual cramps mostly affect the lower belly while abnormal digestion is characterized by similar signs. Taking less heavy meals, drinking a lot of water, and lying down might help make you feel better. In case it persists or becomes severe, it is important to seek medical attention from a gynecologist.

I had unprotected sex but the sperm didn't come out iam i likely to get pregnant
Female | 25
Even without full ejaculation, there's a potential pregnancy risk due to sperm in pre-ejaculate fluid. Emergency contraception (morning-after pill) can reduce this risk if taken promptly. For contraception advice, consult your gynecologist. No method is entirely foolproof except abstinence.

I am feeling period cramps but there is no period and the month end day.. What's happening??
Female | 17
Cramping without a period may signal ovulation. Ovulation is an egg's release from the ovary. The process can cause discomfort. Other triggers could be stress, hormonal shifts, or an underlying condition. Heating pads or warm baths might provide relief. However, persistent or worsening cramps warrant medical consultation from a gynecologist.

Dried up blood spotting, cramps, and brown spotting can have various causes, even if you're not sexually active. It's possible that this could be related to hormonal changes, irregular periods, or other factors. Irregular are common, especially during the early years of menstruation.

I had sex with my boyfriend third forth time , a few hours ago And noticed kind of bleeding not proper bleeding but A few light blood stains on my finger if i check now Am i fine ?
Female | 18
After having sex, spotting a little lightly is normal. It takes place since your body is sensitive in the vaginal area. There might have been some small tears, especially if things were rough. It could also be the female reproductive system getting used to the action. In most cases, if the flow is light and doesn’t last long, then it’s nothing to worry about. If this happens often or bothers you, speak with a gynecologist about it.

You have to bear in mind that both breast development and growth vary from person to person and it can take quite a time. Mera miscouage ho gya tha .uterus ko complete clean krne k liye dr.ne medicine prefer ki thi . Abhi absotion tho complete ho gya lekin normal bleeding ho Rahi hain .bleeding ko band kaisa kar sakta hain
Female | 23
If women experience a miscarriage, they usually bleed to help the uterus recover. It may last for two weeks, though. Getting some rest, not lifting heavy items, and drinking a lot of water can also help reduce the bleeding. If bleeding is too heavy or you feel so weakened, don't forget to seek advice from your gynecologist.

Fibroids can be you have been carrying your pregnancy for 8 weeks and fibroids which can be the cause of discomfort. Fibroids are the term used for non-cancerous growths in the uterus.
