Hello Doctor, I am a 30 year old female and I recently noticed open pores on my face, what should I do? My daily routine is: use himalaya neem face wash, then moisturize skin and I happen to have oily & dull skin. Can you pls suggest what should I do? Thank you!

I would like to start by recommending a daily skincare routine for the problems you are facing. Start with Oil control cleansers with AHA's or BHA's to clear the oil and dirt from your face 2-4 times a day. Use a Vit C serum or day serum in the morning if you are at home and you can add sunscreen on top if you are going to go out and will get exposed to sunlight. Evening, after wash use a toner to neutralize and calm your skin. Before bed, use a coat of moisturizer and additional retinol-based anti-aging serum to finish. If it's a major concern, please contact a dermatologist.

It sounds like you're experiencing some discomfort due to dry, itchy, and red skin. These symptoms can arise from various factors, including environmental conditions, allergies, or skin conditions like eczema. To help alleviate your discomfort, consider using a gentle moisturizer frequently, especially after bathing. Avoid hot showers, as they can worsen dryness. Wearing breathable fabrics can also be beneficial. If symptoms persist or worsen, it's important to consult a dermatologist for personalized advice and treatment options.

Experiencing painful cracked corners of mouth, a condition which is also known as angular stomatitis, might be intolerable. Is eliteglo cream is safe or its a steriod cream
Female | 23
Eliteglo Cream is not considered safe due to its ingredient clobetasol, a corticosteroid, which can cause negative effects. Long-term use of steroid creams without medical supervision can thin the skin and lead to stretch marks and other skin conditions. Immediate effects like redness, itching, or burning are common but usually temporary. For personalized advice and safer alternatives, please consult a dermatologist.

Almost from last 4-5 months right side of labia majora has been swell and it is very itching in that area. And had one small pimple in that are from last 1yr . Please suggest some medicine. I am 23 years old , I am student (don't have money to consult a doctor or to meet that why I am trying to connect who provide free service)
Female | 23
It seems like you are dealing with an infection in that area, which is the possible cause of the swelling and itching. The tiny pimple you mentioned is related as well. It is important to keep the area clean and dry so that you can avoid the further irritation caused. An over-the-counter antifungal or antibacterial cream is an option for you to use if you want to prevent the symptoms from getting worse, but if the symptoms persist or worsen, it is better to visit an orthopedist to get the correct diagnosis.

My auntie is 61 years old, she has been having these open injuries, i suspect it to be skin ulcer. She has been taking antibiotics like Amosiklave 625mg and Itacare. Although she stopped recently. She's in pains and can barley walk.. please should she continue and what else do you recommend.
Female | 61
Open wounds can be painful and may indicate an underlying issue like a skin ulcer, often caused by factors such as poor circulation or prolonged pressure. While antibiotics may help prevent infection, she must seek medical attention to assess her condition properly. Continuing medications without guidance could be ineffective or harmful. Encourage her to visit a dermatologist who can provide a tailored treatment plan, possibly including proper wound care, pain management, and further evaluation.

Every time I shave or use other hair removal techniques, I get strawberry legs. I don't want to consider laser hair removal. Is there any way I can get rid of the strawberry legs?
Female | 19
If you have strawberry legs after hair removal technique or shaving your hair and specially when you don't want to go for laser hair removal then cleaning your hairs/legs with betadine or savlon before shaving and after shaving apply after-shave, betadine or savlon and then applying anti-inflammatory cream containing mild steroids and antibiotic might help to reduce the chances of strawberry legs. If the problem persists then please visit dermatologist.

Losing extra weight is key to slimming your face. You should eat nutritious foods and work out frequently. Reduce unhealthy foods high in fat or sugar. Make exercise a daily habit. Dry skin can lead to irritated rashes, appearing red, rough, and itchy. Your skin lacks moisture, causing this issue. Use moisturizer daily. You can also visit a dermatologist.

I have a big mole on my neck that’s been there since birth. It makes me self conscious, and feels weird when I move it. How can I get it removed safely without going to a doctor, or what doctor can I go to for the least cost?
Female | 24
Take care when removing moles without the aid of a physician. If there is a large mole that changes shape or color, it may be necessary to have it examined by a dermatologist. These are doctors who specialize in skin and can provide a thorough evaluation. The best way to ensure that the mole is removed safely and inexpensively would be visiting a dermatologist.

Female | 37
We need to see picture of the marks and we need to know the reason behind marks if it's previous chicken pox or accident or any infection. Based on location sometimes we might remove them or sometimes we might give some sufficient filling part or we have TCA peel so we need to decide based on depth location and reason behind marks. Please share the pictures. You can also visit plastic surgeon near your area.

Female | 16
Taking care of oily, acne-prone skin is a priority for many teenage girls. Sunscreen plays a vital role in skin protection. Choose oil-free and non-comedogenic sunscreens. These won't clog pores or make your skin greasy. Look for zinc oxide or titanium dioxide ingredients. They are gentle. Sunscreen prevents skin damage and premature aging. Establish a daily sunscreen habit for healthy skin.

Hi , i’m a 24 year old arab woman i have fair skin and i have keratosis pilaris so i wanted to get rif of them by getting co2 laser on my whole arm??♀️ Well i did a really strong dosage that led to an infection on the burned skin And later on it turned to hyperpigmentation that j cant get rid of , also i have these weird red splotches on the burned skin that reaper randomly What do you recommend ?
Female | 24
The CO2 laser procedure was intense. This led to infection and dark spots. The red patches might be because your skin is healing. To help with dark spots, you can try gentle products. Like serums with vitamin C or niacinamide. Remember to protect from the sun too. If red patches remain or get worse, see a dermatologist.

Iam 36 years old I have oily skin with open pores I need some moisturizer for.my skin to.look fresh kindly suggest
Female | 36
You need a non-comedogenic moisturiser which doesn’t cause any breakout or add to the oily state of the skin. Squalene, ceramide containing moisturisers which do not block the pores are recommended for oily skin. Please consult a dermatologist for thorough analysis of your skin to get a customised prescription suitable for your skin. Each one has a unique skin and has to use best suitable products to maintain a healthy skin. Open pores can be reduced by using retinol containing creams at bedtime. If they are severe procedural treatments like laser toning, micro needling radio frequency can help.

Hello Sir! Around last two years, i am experiencing experiencing excessive sweating on my body as well as face. Few months ago, i checked up for thyroid test that was normal. Further my blood pressure was checked up which was 130/76. How can it be reduced to normal conditions?
Male | 23
Excessive sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis, on the other hand, can arise from a large number of causes like anxiety, hormonal fluctuations even certain medications. Your thyroid and blood pressure readings are normal so we should move on to other causes like stress or diet. Keep your body cool, use breathable fabrics, and don't forget about relaxation techniques like deep breathing or yoga, and you will reduce sweating. If it gets worse, you should talk to the doctor about it first.
