It seems like you are dealing with an infection in that area, which is the possible cause of the swelling and itching. The tiny pimple you mentioned is related as well. It is important to keep the area clean and dry so that you can avoid the further irritation caused. An over-the-counter antifungal or antibacterial cream is an option for you to use if you want to prevent the symptoms from getting worse, but if the symptoms persist or worsen, it is better to visit an orthopedist to get the correct diagnosis.

I have a bump on my head and it has been there for a bit possibly a cyst am i ok?
Female | 14
A cyst is an enclosed sac filled with fluid. It forms under the skin as a lump. Cysts may feel tender, and they grow slowly over time. Doctors should examine unusual bumps to identify them. Most cysts are harmless, but removal might help if it bothers you or keeps growing. If it doesn't cause issues, leaving it alone is also okay. However, getting it checked by a dermatologist provides peace of mind.

I am a 16 year old female who has only one known allergy, (dust mites), but my hands are hot and seem to swell slightly after using Clorox wipes for an extended period of time today. This has never happened before. My finger looks odd as well, and I’m concerned.
Female | 16
You may be having a slight allergic reaction to the Clorox wipes. Hot, swollen hands and a strange-looking finger could mean contact dermatitis, which happens when your skin doesn’t agree with certain things. Wash your hands with cool water and mild soap to make them feel better, then put on some lotion that will soothe them. Don’t use those wipes right now – and if it doesn’t get any better or feels worse at all after doing this stuff try talking with a dermatologist.

Im 47 age on my left leg some fungal infection with heavy itching n burning
Male | 47
You are suffering from a fungal infection of your left leg, which is causing a lot of discomfort. Fungal infections are, in general, a common occurrence and can be caused by the overgrowth of certain fungi on the skin. You can try keeping the area clean and dry, using antifungal creams, and wearing loose clothing. If the symptoms do not go away or worsen, consult a dermatologist.

I have blisters all over my body, mouth, and genitals. Different sizes some filled with more pus than others.
Female | 18
You have something called ‘Herpes’ which is a condition caused by a viral infection in different sizes around the body parts, mainly the mouth, and genitals where one gets blisters filled with pus. These sores can hurt but they will disappear over time. Don’t burst them open and keep the place dry and clean. Visit a dermatologist for further treatment.

I don't know if it's jock itch because I sweat alot in that area or its am STI because I am sexually active
Male | 24
Either a jock itch or an STI can cause groin itching. Jock itch results from sweat and friction, leading to redness, itching, and rashes. An STI may have similar symptoms but is related to unprotected sex. Use antifungal creams for jock itch and practice safe sex to prevent STIs. Maintaining good hygiene is also important.

I got pad rash (red puss bumps on my buttocks) almost 15 days ago after which the pain decresed but it left white pimple like spots on my buttocks and for the pad rash i took candid cream and augmentin 625, currently i have tinea cruris for which iam taking kenz cream and itaspor 100 mg, can you please tell me what should i apply for white spots. can i continue the tinea cruris cream on the same spot
Female | 23
Don't worry the white patches will recover. They are post inflammatory hypopigmentation. Complete it as per course of a month and local cream for a month, so that reoccurrence is avoided. Other days apply Absorb powder to reduce sweating and secondary infection. For more information visit best dermatologist in India

I’m an 18 year old female, and last week on Friday/Saturday I started coming up in raised itchy bumps, it looks like a rash, but we presumed it was psorisis due to me having occasional ecsma so I’ve been using aquous cream etc but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be going is is spreading, so we think it may be a rash/allergic reaction now
Female | 18
You have a rash that is itchy and spreading to me. An allergic reaction or skin irritation might be the reason behind this. It's possible that what you touched earlier was triggering it. You should use anti-itch cream and stop scratching. Shouldn't it get better, a dermatologist will be better to talk to as they provide such services.

Can I use soframycin ointment on my nose piercing
Female | 17
Nose piercings sometimes get infected. Redness, swelling, pus appear when germs enter. Soframycin ointment doesn't treat piercing infections. Saline solution (saltwater) gently cleans the area. Rinse piercing multiple times daily. If symptoms persist beyond several days, consult a doctor. Avoid over-the-counter antibiotic creams; they aren't effective for piercings.

I have a rash on breast for a year changes slightly recently. No other symptoms
Female | 40
A rash on the breast persisting for a year and showing recent changes should prompt a visit to a dermatologist. While it could be benign, such changes may signify underlying issues like dermatitis, fungal infections, or even rare conditions like Paget's disease of the breast.

I have got few pimples around mouth and on chin.. Few weeks back I had one boil on penis shaft which went away.. After some days there was one more big boil which also went away.. Me and my partner never had any other history or never involved with any other partner before.. We had oral sex and used condoms for other sex.. Not able to understand are these pimples normal due to warm weather or something else?
Male | 30
Summer heat can cause pimples around your mouth and chin. The boils on your penis may be folliculitis — an infection when bacteria enters hair follicles. Cleanliness and dryness help prevent this condition. If pimples persist or you have concerns, see a dermatologist.

Got a human bite during a fight. It has made 5 bruise marks of teeth. Wanted to ask if tetanus injection is required
Male | 14
Getting a human bite might seem harmless, but it requires care. Five teeth bruise marks signal potential tetanus risk. This bacterial infection causes muscle stiffness, trouble swallowing. Don't delay consulting your doctor if bitten. They'll likely recommend a tetanus shot as preventive measure.

I need to know if a friend of mine have gynocomastia . He is a 17 year old boy and his nipple looks bigger for more than 4years.
Male | 17
Your friend might be the one with gynecomastia, which means swollen breast tissues in boys or men. It can be possible if the hormones are not in a proper balance during puberty. Usually, gynecomastia goes by itself, but sometimes, if it causes problems, it can be treated. Your friend should speak with a dermatologist to get more details and see if any treatment is necessary.

Nail black lines any harmfull dises
Male | 16
The black lines on your nails may be due to a condition called linear melanonychia. To describe it in layman's terms, it can be a black or brown streak on your nail. It can result from traumas to the nail, mole, or even some medications. If such a symptom appears, it is best to get it checked by a dermatologist for safety.

I have a skin fungal infection what should I do
Male | 30
This fungi become the ones that colonize on the skin and grow. You may notice red or dry flaky skin due to the infection. People who suffer from this type of problem are usually very itchy. One way to solve that is to apply antifungal creams which your pharmacist can assist you in recommending. It is important to use the area clean and dry. Apart from the creams, if it doesn't become cured, visit a dermatologist.

How can. I slim my face. And also tell treatment of skin rashes due to dryness
Female | 17
Losing extra weight is key to slimming your face. You should eat nutritious foods and work out frequently. Reduce unhealthy foods high in fat or sugar. Make exercise a daily habit. Dry skin can lead to irritated rashes, appearing red, rough, and itchy. Your skin lacks moisture, causing this issue. Use moisturizer daily. You can also visit a dermatologist.

Having pimple and painful bumps need a cream or gel.
Male | 22
Your skin issues seem to indicate pimples and sore bumps. These happen when pores get blocked, trapping bacteria inside. An over-the-counter cream or gel with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid may help. These ingredients reduce inflammation by killing bacteria on your skin's surface. Wash your face regularly to prevent clogging. Don't squeeze pimples, though - that can cause scarring. With some care, those bumps will clear up.

I am a 26 year old female. I went on vacation to Rhode Island. On Thursday after arriving I went and sat in a porch swing outside. A couple minutes later I felt something bite me. First it looked like mosquitos. Now it does not. Now it burns/stings. It does not itch. They are red and kinda scabbed over like. I have about 9 spots in a cluster on my back right in the middle of my spine. They are really uncomfortable.
Female | 26
You may have been bitten by a spider or some other bug that causes irritation. Initially these bites may resemble mosquito bites but they change with time. A burning/stinging sensation is a frequent symptom. To ease the discomfort, you could try applying a cold compress to the area. If it does not improve or if you start to feel unwell, visit a dermatologist.

Male | 73
It's good to hear that the boil has almost disappeared, but since it's not completely gone, it's important to consult a doctor before continuing the medication. Visit a dermatologist, as they can assess your condition and advise whether you need to continue Cefoclox or consider other treatments.
