Dermaplaning is a treatment which uses a blade to exfoliate your skin and skim all the dead cells out of your hair as well as your face. It’s also known as microplaning or blading. It aims to make your skin’s surface smoother, more youthful looking, and radiant. It also helps in removing deep scars left from acne, uneven pockmarks, and short hair on your face. Ideally, you should not feel any pain during the treatment except slight sensation of tingling. This is mostly a safe procedure, but you will experience redness of skin, patchy skin pigmentation and whiteheads for a day or two post treatment, and they are all temporary symptoms. Along with that you may get scarred in extremely rare cases, but if you do then you would need a separate treatment. Price will always vary depending on area covered and the extent to which same was required, but it starts from Rs. 1000 onwards. Dermaplaning is helpful in decreasing wrinkles, acne and fine lines. But to know whether you are eligible or not for it, you need to visit a dermatologist. Based on your skin type and condition, the doctor will tell whether dermaplaning is suitable for you or not. And talking about the cost, it depends on the area that needs treatment and it also depends on the doctor and the clinic.

Ectodermal dysplasia can interfere with the normal development of teeth, hair, sweat glands, and nails. There is no treatment for this condition, but some medicines can help relieve the symptoms. Your daughter may need dental care, a prosthetic denture, and other services as she grows up. It is necessary to cooperate closely with a dentist to devise the treatment plan that best meets her needs.

I am 27 year old living in ranchi kanke road , having serious problem of dandruff hairfall and my hair color is changing into white even some part of beard as well. Kindly help me with the treatment.
Male | 27
Dandruff in the scalp is due to excess sebum (natural oil) production along with increased activity of a fungus called Malassezia in the scalp. Antifungal shampoos containing Ketoconazole, Ciclopirox, selenium sulphide can help treat the dandruff. If it is severe, oral antifungals are also prescribed for a short duration. Salicylic acid, coal tar shampoos are also prescribed in case of excess flakiness of scalp. Hair fall may be due to dandruff, nutritional deficiencies, stress or due to genetic factors. It is recommended to visit a dermatologist who can diagnose the cause of hairfall and may suggest treatment accordingly. Trichoscopy of the scalp may help in understanding the nature of the scalp and condition. Nutritional supplements, Capixyl containing serum, Minoxidil solution, oral supplements containing vitamin and minerals are prescribed by the dermatologist to treat the hair loss. Change in hair colour in beard and scalp may be due to nutritional deficiencies or strong hair colours or genetic causes. Dermatologist’s help may be needed to treat the same. Calcium pantothenate containing supplements may help slow down the greying and sometimes restore the colour of hair.

Face pimple and itching and spot
Female | 23
Pimples are a result of pore closures on the skin due to the plugs made of oil and dirt. Itching might be a symptom of your skin being inflamed. To relieve the problem, gently clean your skin with a mild cleaner, don't pick or squeeze the pimple, and use a spot treatment with ingredients such as salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide.

Little white spots can appear on the skin, mainly on the arms and legs, due to fewer pigment cells caused by aging and sun exposure. There's no treatment, but you can prevent it from worsening by using sunscreen and avoiding too much sun.

Small pearl size substance feel under skin on nearby elbow cannot see no pain
Female | 22
This is likely (or can be) what we call a cyst. Cysts are usually benign and arise when oil or skin cells are stuck under the skin. Oftentimes, these cysts don't give you any irritations and therefore do not cause any problems. If it is not bothering you, you can disregard it. But whatever the case may be, it is best to visit a dermatologist if it grows or starts to be painful.

Male | 22
You may have detected the small painless bumps around your pubic area that are running up your stomach, which may be a skin condition named molluscum contagiosum. The bumps are usually harmless and can be caused by a virus. They can be transmitted through skin-to-skin contact but are not necessarily an STI. It's best to visit a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment if you want to be sure.

Female | 32
You might still be experiencing symptoms from shingles. Even after taking medicine, the pain and burning can persist for some time. It's important to visit a dermatologist to check the condition and ensure it’s healing properly. If you’re feeling shortness of breath, it’s also a good idea to see a pulmonologist to rule out any other issues.

My sister has a severe allergy to benzoyl peroxide. Her face and neck were swelling in the area of contact last night.
Female | 37
An allergic response occurs when your body sees a substance as harmful. It swells to shield itself. Her swelling shows benzoyl peroxide triggered an allergic reaction. Dodging benzoyl peroxide products and consulting a dermatologist about alternative treatments that won't cause an allergy is wise.

Female | 21
You may have dyshidrotic eczema. It looks like small blisters on hands, fingers, and feet. Irritants, allergies, or stress cause this condition. Though not itchy, blisters feel painful sometimes. Keep hands and feet cool and dry. Use mild products. Avoid triggers like certain soaps or foods. If it worsens, see a dermatologist.

My mother age 73 lying on bed since 5 years. She's suffering from skin blisters on arms and back. It's so itchy and painful. I'm from Karachi Pakistan. And the weather is so hot here. Kindly suggest her best medicine. She is not sugar patient but sometimes BP shoot. Same condition appear to my sister age 45 years old.
Female | 73
Sweating can irritate the skin and create blisters, especially in a hot climate. If you have a burning sensation, you can bring the heat to decrease the swelling by taking a cool, damp cloth and rubbing it on the blisters. As an alternative, calamine lotion will be of much help. Keep the affected areas clean and dry. If the blisters get worse, or if you see any signs of infection such as redness, warmth, or pus, it is necessary to have a dermatologist examine them.

Female | 33
You may have a condition called eczema. Eczema can cause red, itchy patches with small water-filled blisters, especially on the hands. Switching to a new living environment can sometimes lead to skin reactions. Use a mild moisturizer, avoid harsh soaps, and wear gloves for hand protection. If the rash does not improve, it is important to consult a dermatologist for further assistance.

I sweat alot from my armpits, even if it's cold, warm or sunny weather there's always water dripping out of my armpits every minute. I'm 19 and I've been experiencing this like forever
Female | 19
You may have a problem with too much sweating, or what some call hyperhidrosis. What happens is your sweat glands become overactive and produce more sweat than is necessary. Sometimes this can be genetic or due to other medical conditions that you have. There’s treatment for this kind of thing – prescription antiperspirants, pills that you take by mouth…even Botox injections. It’s important to see a dermatologist so that they can help figure out what will work best for you.

Male | 20
You might have a skin condition called eczema, which can cause small watery bumps, itching, and some redness. Standard treatments don't always work for everyone. To relieve symptoms, use a mild moisturizer regularly, avoid strong soaps, and wear loose, natural-fiber clothing. If the problem continues, consider consulting a dermatologist for further advice and treatment.

I i have a kind of pimples on penies
Male | 20
The situation is often produced when clogged hair follicles or sweat glands are the case. A clean, dry area can help. Though it may seem innocent, the temptation to pick or squeeze can lead to infection. If they remain or are painful, it's a good idea to go to a dermatologist for more tests.

My daughter is 14 years old and was having a corn on her toe. We initially left it and did nothing , later we got a corn tape and changed it every 3-4 days within 2 weeks. Now the area has become white so we have not put any corn tape and left it open.
Female | 14
Corns, which are caused by the skin undergoing pressure or friction continuously, are the result of this. The white area may be a sign of skin healing. Try not to use the corn tape for the time being. Keep the area clean and dry. Wearing shoes that are a lot more comfortable should help to ease the pressure. If it doesn't improve, visit a foot specialist for further advice.

Hello Doctor, Since last 7-8 days i have developed a boil like structure near the head of my penis. Now, since last 2-3 days there is pain and irritation while urinating. I had consulted one doctor yesterday. After taking random blood sugar test measuing 147 -he said circumcission is only option. I dont have issue with foreskin. it moves back comfortably and there is no pain while intercourse... This is the 1st time i have experienced this issue. Please guide what can be done...is there any alternate treatment.
Male | 38
The boil-like structure could be a symptom of an infection. Pain and irritation while urinating are the most frequent. These include antibiotics or antifungal creams to help with the infection. The area should be kept clean and dry for a quicker recovery process. Drink lots of water and do not use strong soaps on the wound.

I am a 36 year old female and about 2 yrs ago a spot so small I thought it was a dot from a pen showed up on the side of the top of my finger. Since then it has gotten a tiny bit bigger but it's not round as when I first saw it. It looks like a dark line very small but when I flash a light on it I can see it's a line not round. Should I be worried?
Female | 36
You have a rather small dark streak growing on your finger over the last couple of years. It could be just a harmless mole or a skin tag, but it’s best to watch if it changes color, size or shape. Sometimes strange skin spots can be a sign of skin cancer. For safety’s sake, it’s always good to have it looked at by a dermatologist.
