hey doc i have been having a pain in my outer area of vagina but i have never had sex before what could be the problem please advice

Nerve sensitivity might be why the pain has been occurring, which is called vulvodynia, in the area. A skin rash, an infection, or tight-fitting clothes could be among other probable culprits. To help the pain, wearing loose, cotton underwear, avoiding soaps that irritate, and using a cold compress may be soothing. The discomfort should be reported to a gynecologist if it does not go away or gets worse.
