Your spouse may be suffering from what is called a stye, a pimple-like bulge on the eyelid. When oil glands are blocked, styes occur; they can be painful causing redness and watery eyes. To relieve the pain, apply warm compresses to the eye several times a day. Avoid rubbing your eyes. If the stye does not get any better or worsens, it would probably be a good time to consult with an eye specialist.

I have specs . My vision in right eye is 6/12 and in left eye is 6/6 . I have been wearing specs for 1 year, and now I have a doubt about it . Should I wear my specs full time ? Or should I wear them while reading, writing or using phone and TV? I have experienced shaky vision in the top as well the left corner of my left eye. This has happened 4 times so far in a span of 6 months. the most recent being yesterday (11/18/2023). it starts of with a dark/ blind spot in the centre of my eye/ vision so I can see like the peripheries of stuff but not the middle. Kind of like when you stare at the sun or a bulb then you get a dark spot in your vision for a bit. this then transitions into shaky vision in the top and left hand corner of my left eye only. the best way I can describe it is like when you look at the ground on a hot day or the sand in a desert when heat is rising so things look all wavy. that's what it looks like. then this lasts for 10-15 minutes then it goes away. please note that I never have headaches or migraines ever during these episodes. do you have an idea of what this could be?
