Your spouse may be suffering from what is called a stye, a pimple-like bulge on the eyelid. When oil glands are blocked, styes occur; they can be painful causing redness and watery eyes. To relieve the pain, apply warm compresses to the eye several times a day. Avoid rubbing your eyes. If the stye does not get any better or worsens, it would probably be a good time to consult with an eye specialist.

To protect your sight, attempt to keep screen use down to 2 hours everyday maximum and take breaks every 20 minutes or so where you focus on something in the distance. You should still wear your glasses as directed by the optician as well.

I am suffering from eye itching and burning sensation in and around eye. It usually happen with me every summer when dry air flows. The symptom resonates with allergic conjuctivitis. I have experienced shaky vision in the top as well the left corner of my left eye. This has happened 4 times so far in a span of 6 months. the most recent being yesterday (11/18/2023). it starts of with a dark/ blind spot in the centre of my eye/ vision so I can see like the peripheries of stuff but not the middle. Kind of like when you stare at the sun or a bulb then you get a dark spot in your vision for a bit. this then transitions into shaky vision in the top and left hand corner of my left eye only. the best way I can describe it is like when you look at the ground on a hot day or the sand in a desert when heat is rising so things look all wavy. that's what it looks like. then this lasts for 10-15 minutes then it goes away. please note that I never have headaches or migraines ever during these episodes. do you have an idea of what this could be?

Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is rare degenerative disease affecting the rod photoreceptors in the retina.
