Why hasn't my period returned after abortion?
Hi ,Good day. Please I had an abortion Dec 31st 2023. I stopped bleeding Febuary 3rd. It’s more than 8 weeks but I’ve not still had my flow. What could be wrong?

Having no period after an abortion can worry you. But, it happens often. It's been over 8 weeks though - that's quite long. The abortion might've caused hormone changes. Or perhaps an infection occurred. Watch out for fever or strange discharge. These could signal a problem. See your gynecologist to make sure everything's okay. They'll check for issues and treat them if required.

my stomach has stayed bloated for the past 4 days now. i felt flutter like kicks for about 3 seconds last night whilst laying down in bed. it feels full i took a pregnancy test and it came back and said on the stick “not pregnant” but i only tested once. i’m supposed to be due on my period but my periods have always been irregular. some months though have been on time most haven’t. my period did come very very early at the start of july. the last day of my period before that for example, was on 28th june and then came back for 3 days starting on 12th july. i haven’t really had extreme pain or discomfort, only slightly but i never really experience discomfort/pain when i’m supposed to be due on they’re always very minor.
