What could be the possible reason for chest pain? though all the reports are normal, please suggest.
Hi, I have been experiencing chest pain since Nov'18. Post which I have done 7 ECG test, a stress test and the results were normal. I was advised hyperactivity medicines, however the pain never stopped. I met a Gastroenterologist, who confirmed no issues. Than I met a cardiologist who suggested for 2D echo, did it, it was normal. Then I did sonography, stage 1 fatty liver observed. Than did angiography, no blockages observed, however the blood flow is slow. Now I am left with nothing... The chest pain still persists, post angiography I also feel numbness in my left arm. Don't know what to do. I was recommended following medicines post angiography... strovas Dilzem sr Pan 40mg I have already started following a proper diet. Avoiding junk food, extra salt, oil etc. This has started affecting my work and i am unable to deviate from the thought of the pain

Chest pain can have various causes, even if initial reports appear normal. Potential reasons include:
Musculoskeletal Issues: Strained muscles or costochondritis may cause chest discomfort.
Gastrointestinal Conditions: Acid reflux or gastritis may mimic cardiac pain.
Psychological Factors: Stress and anxiety can contribute to chest pain.
Respiratory Issues:Conditions like pleurisy or inflammation of lung lining.
Nerve Irritation:Conditions affecting nerves in the chest may cause pain.
If chest pain persists or worsens, consult with a cardiologist for a thorough evaluation to rule out serious conditions.

A positive Treadmill Test signifies the necessity to proceed cardiac evaluation. It would be wise to visit a cardiologist who can carry out further tests such as echocardiogram or coronary angiography in order to establish the root cause. The cardiologist will help you understand what happens next, providing customized and effective treatment for your heart health.

Hello.. Iam 65. It's been a week I had my mitral valve replacement. Doctors replaced my mitral valve with mechanical valve. Is mechanical valve safe for me? As my age is 65..? Please reply me..
Female | 65
Mechanical valves are safe for most patients, even for those who are 65 years old but there are some risks. Patients with mechanical valves need to take blood thinning medication for the rest of their lives to prevent blood clots from forming on the valve, which can be a serious complication.

I am some problem in my chest
Male | 25
There could be many reasons for this. Sometimes it's just a case of indigestion or heartburn caused by eating too fast or consuming foods that don't agree with us. Another frequent reason is acid reflux, characterized by a burning feeling in the chest. Stress or anxiety might also be considerations since they can sometimes affect the chest. Eating smaller meals more often and avoiding fatty, spicy foods is advisable. If the matter persists seek medical help to rule out anything serious.

What treatment would you suggest to person with LVEP 10% still the person is walking and talking normally
As per my understanding, the patient is having LVEF 10% and is walking and talking normally (leading a normal active healthy life). To me it seems to one of the rare case where a person having LVEF 10% and leading active healthy life. You should consult a cardiologist and get the ECHO repeated either there may a mistake in the previous report or if it's a miracle then it should be studied further. The feasibility of surgical closure of large ostium secundum ASD with left to the right flow decision hinges on such factors as the patient's age, co-morbidities, and the patient's general health condition. Urgent Medical Inquiry Dear Dr., I hope this message finds you well. My friend, experienced a heart attack and underwent a procedure with two stents. However, post-discharge, he faced complications, including coughing and a subsequent diagnosis of a blood clot. I seek your expert guidance on his condition and potential next steps. Your prompt assistance is highly appreciated. Best regards, Elyas
Male | 62
Your friend's coughing after heart surgery could signal fluid around the lungs. This is sometimes seen as the body responds to the procedure. Immobility post-op may have led to a blood clot forming. It's important to get medical care promptly. Contact your friend's cardiologist right away for an evaluation and proper treatment.

My mother has recently been diagnosed with a heart tumor. She was told that it was not causing problems with blood flow. Surgery was not advised. She has had three bouts with edema, one was serious. She had type 2 diabetes which is well controlled. She has high blood pressure. She is the most active woman her age that I have ever known. Why shouldn’t she have surgery? It doesn’t seem like the tumor is asymptomatic at all.
Female | 83
Sometimes, doctors may decide against surgery for heart tumors if they believe the risks outweigh the benefits, especially in older patients or those with other health conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes. Her edema could be due to other factors. It is best to consult with a cardiologist who can give a detailed explanation and guide you on the best course of action.
