It sounds like you have been experiencing a lot of stress recently due to your exams, and this can sometimes lead to hair loss and delayed periods. Dandruff can also contribute to hair loss. It's important to manage your stress levels, eat a balanced diet, and use a gentle anti-dandruff shampoo. If the hair loss continues, it's a good idea to talk to a dermatologist for further advice.

I am a 24 year old female. I have been having these recurring pimples on my vagina for 10years now. My vaginal walls are scaly white and are often itchy. I don't have a weird discharge save for when am ovulating, a clear odorless discharge. I have never had sex because of my condition. I am also overweight with a BMI of 26.
Female | 24
You might have a medical condition known as lichen sclerosis. The main signs are the reappearance of small pimples, the vaginal walls that become white and scaly, and the sensation of itchiness. Obesity and sexual abstinence maybe your risk factors. A dermatologist should be consulted first for an accurate diagnosis and the right treatment. They may recommend some creams or medications to help controlling the symptoms and avoid complications.

Hello Doctor, From last couple of days I have developed a small red boil on the shaft of penis, it pains on touch. The appearance is small round red in colour with no pus formation and it pains a lot especially on touch or on friction. Kindly advise medications for the same. Thanks and Regards
Male | 40
You may have developed a condition called folliculitis. It happens when hair follicles get inflamed, usually due to friction or bacteria. The red bump on the penis shaft with pain and tenderness can be typical symptoms. For now, you can try warm compresses to help reduce pain and inflammation. Don't touch or squeeze it. If it doesn't improve or worsen, visit a dermatologist.

You could be suffering from a condition called urticaria, which can also be identified as hives. Hives can be characterized as red, inflamed lines on the skin that are itchy and burning. Common triggers include anxiety, some foods, medications, or allergies. Try to determine what your hives may be caused by and stay away from those triggers. Using cool compresses, and antihistamines may be beneficial in reducing itching. If the symptoms continue, visit a dermatologist.

I am on Lamictal 100mg since last November The last 2weeks been having itchy skin no rash could this be the begging of Steven Johnson syndrome
Female | 68
Lamictal may cause itchy skin without any rash. Although rare, Stevens-Johnson syndrome is a concern. Fever, skin pain, and red or purple rash indicate SJS. If worried, talk to your doctor immediately. They'll determine if it's medication-related or not. Don't stop taking Lamictal before consulting your dermatologist.

Hi. I am a 6 month old breastfeeding Mom, my skin have become extremely black, very dark undereyes and hyperpigmentation is a lot. Apart from that i am facing milia like insect bitten kind of pimples of my face and hands and thighs which appear and disappear for shorter periods of time. My dermat has suggested me the following skincare products : Revetime facewash, Kozilite H serum and acne uv sunscreen gel spf 30 and along with that following antibiotics Tab cyra d, tab medivast m, tab klocet 10mg. Is this above prescription okay for me to take as i dont want my breastfeeding baby to be harmed in any way
Female | 26
The darkening of the skin, dark under the eyes, and hyperpigmentation you mentioned can happen due to hormonal changes during breastfeeding. The reasons are various; it can be hormonal changes or skin sensitivity that may cause pimples. The skincare products and medications your dermatologist prescribed are the right ones for your condition during breastfeeding. The facewash, serum, and sunscreen can contribute not only to the health of your skin but also to its protection from harmful sun rays.

Every time I shave or use other hair removal techniques, I get strawberry legs. I don't want to consider laser hair removal. Is there any way I can get rid of the strawberry legs?
Female | 19
If you have strawberry legs after hair removal technique or shaving your hair and specially when you don't want to go for laser hair removal then cleaning your hairs/legs with betadine or savlon before shaving and after shaving apply after-shave, betadine or savlon and then applying anti-inflammatory cream containing mild steroids and antibiotic might help to reduce the chances of strawberry legs. If the problem persists then please visit dermatologist.

I have a tiny small small dot like Black head on my nose tip this got remove whenever i squeeze that with my finger how can i remove my all black dot on my nose tip
Male | 23
We do not recommend that you try to manually remove black dots on the rhinion by squeezing or picking them as it can cause scarring, infection, and even further damage to the nose. These black dots are blackheads that result from the formation of black plugs in the pores. A dermatologist is the right person in the healthcare sector to the diagnosis and treatment of this condition.

You might have a skin condition known as tinea cruris, or jock itch. This is a fungal infection that often affects the groin area. Symptoms include red, itchy patches of skin, a bad smell, and peeling skin. It can be caused by sweating, tight clothing, or poor hygiene. To treat it, it is important to keep the area clean and dry, wear loose clothing, and use antifungal creams.

I am a 24 year old girl who has undergone culture test frequently and taken medication but I’m still itchy In my perineum and it looks whitish . I’ve also applied steroid creams. Today I came back from a long trip and my liner was soaked with discharge and some of it looks like chunky cheese
Female | 24
It appears that you could be dealing with a yeast infection. Yeast is a type of germ that can cause itching, white discharge and sometimes looks like chunky cheese. Taking antibiotics or wearing tight clothes can sometimes cause yeast infections. You can try using over-the-counter antifungal creams for a few weeks to see if it helps. In addition, wearing loose cotton clothes and avoiding scented products in that area may also help. If the condition persists, you can visit a dermatologist.

I am using skinshine cream for last 4 years. I dont have any side effects till now. But when i came to know the side effects of using this i decided to stop using this. So how i can safely stop this without more sideeffects
Female | 27
I get why you're worried about stopping Skinshine cream after 4 years. Being careful about side effects makes sense. When you quit, your skin might get red, itchy, or dry. That happens because it got used to the cream. To avoid more problems, try using it less over time. First, use it every other day. Then every two days. Keep doing that until you stop. Going slowly like this can let your skin adjust without too much trouble. Also, moisturize lots during this change to keep your skin healthy.

Ringworm ho rkha hai 1 yr se thik nhi ho raha tablet bhi bahut kha chuka hu itracenzole or fluconazole or cream bhi laga liya fark hota pr fir se ho jata h please tell me best treatment for my disease
Male | 25
A stubborn fungal infection seems troublesome. Ringworm triggers red, itchy, scaly skin patches. Defeating it proves difficult sometimes. One way: antifungal meds like Terbinafine or Clotrimazole, used consistently over weeks. Keep affected areas clean and dry. Don't share personal items. With persisting infection, dermatologists can suggest other treatments.

I am 18 years old and my lips are okay they are pinj but the area under my nose commonly known as upper lips is dark and gets more dark during summers ....this is not because of hair growth on upper lips but i dont know why its getting darker ...i have tried so many remedies like icing honey and all but that didnt work ...and it gets rough ...without putting cream on that surface i cannot survive because of its roughness
Female | 18
The dark spots could be from more melanin, which happens when the sun hits your skin. The rough feel might be dry skin. To help, try using a soft cream with SPF to keep your skin from the sun and wet. Also, remember to drink lots of water. You can also visit a dermatologist if the problem doesn't go away.

Female | 18
The small white spot on your cheek might be a problem as it might be a skin disease called pityriasis alba. The list begins with the use of gentle, moisturizing products for dry skin. Check out the products that contain hyaluronic acid and ceramides. Don't forget, always apply sunscreen. In case of any changes or concerns, go to a dermatologist.

Hi. I've a question regarding my niece's skin problem. She is a 7-years old. She has developed red patches of skin on her cheek, chin and around nose. The affected area of her cheek is very dry. I brought her to a doctor who prescribed two creams, mezoderm(betamethasone) and gentamicin-akos which made things far worse. Then at the pharmacy I was advised to use ftorokart(also a cream with triamcinolone) for my niece's face. After a few uses of the cream, I've seen some noticeable improvement in her skin condition since she started to use it. It took the redness out of her nose. But she still has rash and blisters on her face. I took photos of her face in case it might be helpful for you to identify the reason for her skin condition. Here are the photos of hers: https://ibb.co/q9t8bSL https://ibb.co/Q8rqcr1 https://ibb.co/JppswZw https://ibb.co/Hd9LPkZ Would you mind helping us to identify what caused this skin condition?
Female | 7
According to the symptoms and signs described, it appears to be a case of atopic dermatitis which is common among children of the mentioned age. It is a condition where the skin barrier is disturbed and is extremely sensitive to external environmental triggers like cold and dry weather, dust etc. It presents as red dry itchy patches on cheeks, hands and legs sometimes whole body. The above mentioned creams contain topical corticosteroids which are to be used with a great caution under the supervision of Dermatologist. Good barrier repairing creams including emollients with squalene, ceramides etc can help reviving the skin barrier. Steroid sparing drugs can be prescribed to manage the rash. Please consult a qualified Dermatologist and do not use topical corticosteroids without doctor’s advice as it may cause many adverse effects.
