Could I be pregnant after missing Nur injection appointment?
I am 22yrs. I am on Nur injection but I didn't go on my next appointment on the 30th of April. I was active on the 22nd of May what are the chances of being pregnant?

Gynecologist/Obstetrician
Answered on 30th May '24
If you didn't go for your Nur injection on 30th April and then had intercourse on 22nd May then you might be pregnant. The signs could be missed periods, nausea, fatigue, or breast tenderness. Missing birth control can lead to pregnancy. My recommendation would be to take a home pregnancy test and contact your gynecologist for advice.

Abdominal cramps, mood swings and constipation and crossed my oeriods date but no blood has come
Female | 21
This could be because of an imbalance in hormones in your body which you might experience as these symptoms. It can be caused by stress, changes in weight, or even some medical conditions. Apart from this, you should try to calm down, consume healthy foods and liquids, and sleep well as well. Nevertheless, if these will never go away, it is always appropriate to visit a gynecologist for the next step.

I have an itch in my bikini area… no discharge… no pain during urine… cottage white cheese in the vagina
Female | 27
It seems that you may have a yeast infection. The yeast is a very small germ that can cause itching of the skin and can lead to a white, cheese-looking discharge. You may use OTC antifungal creams to assist in getting rid of the yeast. Make sure to wear comfortable, breathable clothing and avoid using scented products in that area to help avoid infections in the future.

Female | 25
Based on the tests and recent menstrual cycle, it's likely that you are not pregnant, especially if you've had consecutive negative results. Lighter periods can occur for various reasons, including hormonal changes or stress. If you have ongoing concerns about your menstrual cycle or potential pregnancy, it’s best to speak with a medical professional. They can conduct further assessments to provide clarity and peace of mind. Consulting a professional can help address your worries and ensure your overall well-being.

I had hysterectomy with dnc and endometrial ablation last Thursday. Sunday I began swelling in my entire abdomen not just my lower. Mornings it seems a little better and as day progresses, it gets worse again. By the end of the day, I look 3 months pregnant and feel very uncomfortable. My doctor said he thinks it is from anesthesia. I don’t know and am scared and want to know how to get the swelling to stop.
Female | 46
It's normal to feel concerned about abdominal swelling after a hysterectomy and related procedures. While your doctor mentioned anesthesia effects, it's wise to consider seeking a second opinion if you're worried. Rest, elevate your legs, stay hydrated, watch your diet, and consult your doctor or a gynecologist. Gentle movements like walking might help.

Started vaginal bleeding that lasts only few minutes on day 17 and day 19 (12-10 days before periods) (Did not happen on day 18). First bleeding started with red color then started spotting brown. Confused whether it's spotting before periods or implantation bleeding.

I went on my period twice this month, is that normal?
Female | 21
Your period arriving twice in a month can feel unexpected. However, it sometimes occurs for certain individuals. Potential causes may include hormone imbalances, heightened stress levels, or weight fluctuations. In some cases, underlying conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) could contribute. If you experience abnormal symptoms accompanying this, such as severe discomfort or excessive bleeding, seeking guidance from a gynecologist for proper evaluation becomes crucial.

I'm 22 year old, Female. 2 days back had my first sex with the use of condom and also I have used contraceptive pill and now I'm seeing a white skin appeard near my vaginal opening and also bleeds sometimes
Female | 22
You might have a cut near your vaginal opening. It occurs fairly often after first sex, especially in your maiden experience. This bleeding more than likely is because the wound is healing. It's critical to keep the region clean and abstain from sex until it's completely healed. You can also try a warm compress to alleviate discomfort. Furthermore, if the bleeding does not stop or worsens, visit a gynecologist and get an analysis.

I am 28 yr old women.i have delayed periods about 9 days with breast side pain and white dischrge .i dont have any unprotected sex
Female | 28
Your delayed periods, breast pain, and white discharge could be due to factors like pregnancy or hormonal imbalance. Stress, hormonal changes, or even some medications sometimes may affect your menstrual cycle. If you did not have unprotected intercourse, the issue of pregnancy is probably not relevant. It is always advisable to discuss with a gynecologist to get the full picture of what may be going on.

Chances of getting pregnant from precum are low but not impossible. Precum does have sperm that can fertilize an egg and result in pregnancy. It is better to use contraception to avoid unwanted pregnancies. If you are worried about your sexual health, you should see a gynecologist for advice and guidance regarding the best contraceptive methods.

Female | 28
I recommend you to see a gynecologist or a reproductive endocrinologist for consultation. They will be able to find out the reason for your wife being infertile and will offer different possible solutions. If it comes to egg concerns, then the fertility doctor can recommend some assisted reproductive techniques such as egg donation or IVF.

Taking an emergency contraceptive pill (like the i-pill) within a day or two after intercourse may reduce the chances of pregnancy, but it's not a guarantee. If you're concerned about pregnancy, take a home pregnancy test around the time of your expected period.
