The white patches on your face could be due to a condition called "hypopigmentation." Some creams with Hydroquinone, Tretinoin, and Mometasone might cause these patches. The first sign of this condition is usually a white spot on the skin. To help your skin heal naturally, it’s best to stop using these creams.

The white patches on your face look similar to a condition we call hypopigmentation. This sometimes happens when you use strong creams that have Hydroquinone + Tretinoin + Mometasone in them. These creams can make your skin lighter by doing so, and then white patches occur. For treatment, it is important to halt the use of the cream and allow your skin to restore its natural color. A visit to a dermatologist is the best way to get the right treatment.

The combination of hydroquinone, retinoid, and mometasone cream, often called Clubmen's formula, is used for hyperpigmented disorders like melasma. This medication is available over the counter under various brand names. It is the common side effect of the cream that it causes depigmentation or white patches, thinning of the skin, prominent blood vessels, acne, increased hair and also increased sensitivity to sun. Please do not use any such creams without consulting a dermatologist.

Having acne near chin and its very painful and I am suffering it from 2 years and I am diagnosed with pcos but my periods are regular and my weight is under control
Female | 29
Acne close to your chin has a sharp pain for two years it can also be one of the symptoms of PCOS when you do not have irregular periods and your weight is fine. Hormone disruptors like PCOS are the cause of acne in the region of the chin. One thing to notice is that treatments with creams like salicylic acid, and laser resurfacing can be another option if you commit more to finding the right products for your skin. Not only antibiotics but also the ability of drugs to fight against PCOS by lifestyle changes leads to a reduction of acne too.

I am a 40 year old man and have been having odour problens especially after peeing or aweating.
Male | 40
You might be suffering from the unpleasant smell that follows peeing or sweating in your case. The reason for your unpleasant smell might be a urinary tract infection or the bacteria on your skin. These can make the pee and sweat stink a little bit. Drinking more water, showering regularly, and wearing breathable clothes can help. If it prevails, it is wise to consult a gynecologist.

Small black burn marks from estim device under glans
Male | 20
Small burn marks under one's private parts can happen from using electronic devices. These marks may be black and caused by too much rubbing or heat. You'll likely feel tender, red, and sore there. Stop using the device right away. Gently wash the area with a mild soap and water. Apply a soothing cream like aloe vera to help it heal. If the burn marks stay or worsens, see a doctor to get checked out and treated properly.

I am a 16 year old male with no history of skin cancer . Recently noticed a mole on the sole of the feet and removed it with blade . Now I am scared what will I do?
Male | 16
It is essential to watch for any alterations in your skin moles as these may be an indication of skin cancer. In that situation, the mole removal using a blade may have cut out the cancer cells, but still, it is preferable to go to your dermatologist for a thorough examination.

I am 23 years old and I did a breast surgery on 17th of march 2024 for removal of lump. The wound is yet to heal now. Few days after the surgery i noticed leakages from the stitches so i went back to the doctor then he stitched it again whivh made the healing process very slow. What can I do to heal the opened wound on my right breast? I find it difficult to bathe. I was prescribed ciprotab by the doctor and vitamin c (but I got the coloured ones instead) or should I have been using the white one? I already stopped the ciprotab
Female | 23
To help the wound heal, ensure that you keep it clean and dry, wash the area gently with some mild soap and water then dry. Any rough movements which might disrupt the stitches should be avoided. Consult with Your Doctor on the right type of vitamin C use, usually white because colored ones could have added ingredients. Should there be signs like increased pain, redness, swelling, or pus, then do seek medical Help immediately as this could mean infection.

Acne is multi-factorial problem, hormonal disease in most of the patients, diet, exercise, hygiene, grooming practices play important role.so visiting dermatologist and taking treatment is one option and maintain treatment for long time because if you are getting any improvement with the treatment then continue it otherwise dermatologist will change it. there are few things that has to be taken care. One thing not to apply hair oil, avoid having dandruff or use anti-dandruff shampoos weekly on the scalp, using face washes that have salicylic acid or glycolic acid. Avoid using thick greasy moisturizers or cream on the face. Use only creams that are gel based or water based. Drink plenty of water, avoid fat or cheesy diet, exercise 10-15 mins of the day. Female | 24
Skin red rashes are not a rare thing and can be caused by several things such as allergies, eczema, and infections. If the rash hurts or is itchy, it's better not to self-medicate and go to a dermatologist for the right treatment. Some rashes can be made better with cool compresses or light lotions, but first, it is crucial to find the reason.

Male | 38
For skin allergies, I advise the individual to see a dermatologist who could pinpoint his/her exact condition and give a relevant treatment. Non-prescription antihistamines can help with mild symptoms, but a person who is suffering from prolonged or very serious symptoms must seek medical help.

Hi ,iam Harshith Reddy J Iam suffering from pimples I have consulted a doctor near me and he said me to use the BETNOVATE-N skin cream iam using it but no use of it so please tell the solution for this pimples
Male | 14
Pimples are often caused by clogged pores, excess oil production, bacteria and hormones. Using Betnovate-N cream may not be the best option for treating pimples because it contains steroids that can worsen acne in the long run. Instead, you can try gentle cleansers, non-comedogenic moisturizers, and benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Remember, consistency is key when treating pimples. If your pimples persist, it’s best to consult a dermatologist for tailored advice.

I saw few bumps on my chest black in color...my skin color is brown. They are few in number 3-4. I had fungal infection and I took medicine and anti fungal cream from my doctor which caused itchiness ,I started using NEEM soap which reduced those symptoms . But these bumps on chest remained , and I searched this on google and it showed extreme results so I'm concerned .please help
Male | 18
The lumps on your chest may be a frequent phenomenon doctors refer to as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It is a condition that is characterized by skin discoloration because of the old inflammatory lesions like those caused by the normal Trychophyton infection. In brief, these lumps are just the parts of your skin that were affected and are now darker because of that. Neem soap was an appropriate choice to lessen the itching, but for these bumps, it is better to let them dissipate by themselves. If you notice any changes or the bumps do not get better, then it would be a smart decision to get a consultation with a dermatologist.

I am Nursing student.27 year old I have painful itchy pimples on fore head and few hard pimles on scalp.. It's irritating, uncomfortable and it's very painful. Some are swelled. And some few medicines I have taken which are Pentid 400 for 10 days Dexamethasone for 6 days Zerodol sp 6 days And also applied or applying Cosvate GM plus plus cream which effective sometimes.... But my problem is not solved... It's been cleared in some area and grown in other with same moderate symptoms and also eye pain and headache What to do sir / madam please help
Male | 27
Pimples on your forehead and scalp may signify acne. Medicines don't cure it; special treatment is required. Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid can potentially help. However, Cosvate GM plus cream should be avoided. It might worsen symptoms like pain, itch, and redness. Eye pain, headaches too seems connected to this problem. So, discussing all symptoms with a dermatologist is vital. Get proper evaluation and advice for comprehensive acne management.

I am having dull and dehydrated skin and dark spots.. Since 3 years I have pimple on nose later I poped it and it turned out to be a dark spot on my nose ???? ..
Female | 14
It seems like your skin is dry and lacks brightness; besides the pimple scars on your nose. Skin becomes dull due to lack of water in it. Spots get darker as a result of spots. Drink water and wash your face regularly using mild soap then apply lotion too. In addition, you can wear sunscreen to prevent the darkening of these patches further.

Yeast infection caused by bactrim
Female | 35
It is uncommon, that Bactrim might cause a yeast infection. This happens because the good and bad bacteria equilibrium in the body can be tipped by Bactrim thus allowing yeast to thrive. Among the symptoms are itching, redness, and a thick discharge. Probiotics and antifungal medicines can be used to cure this. It’s also a good idea to talk with your doctor about other possible medications.

Female | 34
Having dark underarms can sometimes be quite disheartening. The cause of this could be a condition called acanthosis nigricans. It is most often found in those individuals who have insulin resistance or are obese. Your thyroid medication could be the cause of this, as your reports are normal. Be sure you're using a gentle soap and then applying a moisturizer to the area. Discuss with a dermatologist the possibility of trying different medications.

Female | 22
You might have acne, a skin issue that causes small pimples on your back, neck, and chest. Acne happens when oil and dead skin cells clog hair follicles. Hormones, stress, or certain foods can sometimes trigger acne flare-ups. To help reduce acne, gently wash the affected areas with a mild cleanser and avoid using oily products. If it's bothering you, see a dermatologist.
