Pain in the belly, migraine, nausea, and soreness in the body are all the signals your body sends you that it's not feeling well. These symptoms might also be a result of unprotected sex you had before the period began. A medical provider can be your guide to help you through the diagnosis of the possible underlying infections and other issues.

I have a weird feeling in my vagina. I feel a burning sensation in the vagina, pain in the clitoris, and also constant tingling. I feel pain inside my legs, extending from the vagina to the buttocks, and my left leg specifically. This started when I was on my period and my pads used to get accidentally inside my vagina and I am afraid it might hurted the nerves. I took cafixime cause I thought it is bacterial vaginitis. I had this for like one week and then it went away for a week and came back again. After healing I rode a bicycle twice but for just few seconds. I also showered and some soup got into my vagina so I am afraid I damaged some nerves after it was healed. Finally, I had Two weird dreams. I dreamt that I am taking an exam and suddenly I felt Contractions in my vagina and woke up. It was very weird and uncomfortable and it happened twice. I am constantly not comfortable weather if I am sitting or lying in bed so it’s very distracting, and painful sometimes. I want to know what do I have?

My girlfriend had her regular period on March 2nd, but she started bleeding again on March 20th. It's now the 7th day, and she is still bleeding lightly. The blood is brownish and doesn't smell like a normal period. We had a fight before this happened, and we also had unprotected sex but no ejaculation. Could this be stress-related, hormonal imbalance, or something else? Should we be worried?
Female | 28
It’s understandable to be concerned about changes in bleeding patterns. Experiencing brownish discharge, especially after a recent period and potential stress, can be related to hormonal shifts, which may occur due to various factors including emotional stress or lifestyle changes. While this could be normal, it’s wise to monitor her symptoms. If the bleeding persists, becomes heavier, or is accompanied by pain, consulting a gynecologist would be beneficial.

I have missed my period for two months now but I'm not pregnant
Female | 20
Missing your period does not necessarily mean pregnancy. Stress, weight fluctuations, hormone imbalances – these could also impact menstruation. Additionally, if you experience acne flare-ups, excess hair growth, or headaches , it could indicate an underlying condition. Relax, eat wholesome foods, and stay active. If this problem persists, consider consulting a gynecologist for proper diagnosis.

Am on 10th days on periods but light flows am getting worried what can l use to stop it
Female | Melaine
It is quite natural for you to get worried about long-lasting menstrual blood loss. Light discharge over 10 days may happen because of different causes such as hormonal changes, stress, or lifestyle modifications. Rather than trying to stop it alone, focus more on your health by eating healthy foods and drinking plenty of water. If the strange-shade bleeding does not go and/or is followed by a lot of discomfort, it is best to consult a gynecologist who knows more about these things.

A dark brown discharge can happen sometimes before your period. It usually happens when old blood mixes with vaginal discharge. This may be caused by hormones changing or leftover blood from your last period. If you're worried, write down your symptoms and talk to a gynecologist. Always keeping track of your period can help.

Periods problem last week my periods very low flow but this week heavier
Female | 30
It’s normal for your period to be a little different from week to week. If you had a lighter flow last time and now it’s heavier than usual, this is no big deal. The change can be caused by hormonal changes, stress, diet, or even just doing something different with your day. Make sure that you are taking care of yourself by eating right, staying active, and managing any anxiety or worry that comes along with it. If it keeps happening or you’re concerned, talk with your gynecologist so they can tell you everything’s fine.

Why I am suffering from heavy flow during periods, although I have low hemoglobin?
Female | 33
Heavy period flow can arise when hemoglobin levels dip. Low hemoglobin contributes to heavier bleeding. Fatigue, paleness, and breathlessness may accompany this condition. Underlying causes like anemia or hormonal imbalances trigger these symptoms. Consuming iron-rich foods and supplements alleviates low hemoglobin issues. However, consulting a gynecologist ensures proper diagnosis and treatment.

Mam first day of periods less bleeding just one or two strains or colour of blood is brown and have clots also the next blood is coming more
Female | 21
When the first day of your period is light with minimal bleeding, everything is likely fine. If the blood is brownish and contains some clots, don't worry; this can happen. On the following day, a heavier flow is normal as your body is adjusting. Brownish blood simply means the blood is older. However, if you feel nervous or experience pain, it would be wise to consult a gynecologist.

Pregnancy related. Tested positive after two days I came negative
Female | 20
Testing positive for pregnancy followed by a negative result can be confusing. Early signs may include missed periods, fatigue, or nausea. Causes for varying test results might include testing too early, low hormone levels, or even chemical pregnancies, where an early pregnancy does not develop. I recommend repeating the pregnancy test in a few days for more clarity. If you continue to have concerns or abnormal symptoms, please consult a gynecologist for personalized guidance.

My partner and I had protected intercourse for the first time on August 10, 2024. It wasn’t a complete intercourse, but to be extra cautious, I took an emergency contraceptive pill within 20 hours. My period or withdrawal bleeding occurred on my usual date, August 19. However, on September 8, I noticed a small, watery, slightly cloudy discharge from my nipples. There's no pain or tenderness, but it's been happening for the last few weeks, though only a tiny amount when pressed (like a dot). I'm not sure if this is normal or something I should be concerned about. Could you please advise? And this month also I got my period with cramps ....there any chance of getting pregnant?? Is it possible? Or should I go for a home pregnancy test!? I'm too confused plss help
Female | 21
You are experiencing the concern of a nipple discharge and if there is a possibility of you being pregnant. The watery discharge might be the result of hormonal changes which may not always indicate a serious condition. Having your period is an indication that you are most likely not pregnant. To get a definitive answer, use a home pregnancy test which is the most accurate method if you have any doubts. if you are not sure, always seek the advice of a gynecologist.
