There are different kinds of patches

So to determine the exact modality of treatment you might need a physical examination.

I have oily skin and acne problem. The problem is that scars are not removed completely. Some are getting light but not removed completely. I recently heard about microdermabrasion for acne scars from one of my friends. Does it really work? I am 23 now. Does it have any side effects?

Female | 23

If you have oily skin and acne problem, sometimes if acne is severe they might burst or get infected or if you pick your acne too much they might result into scars. As per Dermatologist there are 5 types of scars which are commonly encountered.
1. Ice Picks Scars: Very small in surface but deep and narrow below.
2. Roll-Over Scars: Wide but borders are difficult to appreciate
3. Box-car Scars: wide and borders can be easily appreciated.
4. Open pores like Scars: Small Ice Pick Scars
5. Hyper-trophic Scars:
so the treatment for the scars depends upon the type of scars. Commonly treatment which are effective are TCA cross, subsition treatment, microneedling, microneedling radiofrequency, PRP treatment, CO2 Laser, RBM Glass laser and even dermal fillers.
As you are 23 and you are asking about microdermabrasion, it removes superficial skin layers and it is effective only for superficial scars which are not very deep. This might require you multiple sessions like 8-10 sessions for it to work. Instead of Microdermabrasion you can go for microneedling, microneedling radiofrequency which will require less number of sessions and on top of it you can add PRP to it.

Hi doc, I have an added areola around my nipples it's not dark in color it's just a light brownish thing with some little hairs that are growing, I went on my periods fully, but they came early because of the emergency pill I used. I then took two pregnancy tests after seeing the change in my breasts and they were all negative I'm curious now what could cause the change

Female | 24

The emergency pill can cause hormonal changes, and this might result in breast changes such as an extra areola that is light brown with some hairs. Even if the pregnancy tests are negative, there could still be hormonal fluctuations leading to variations in breasts. Most likely, it is nothing serious and will return to normal soon. Watch out for it but if you are worried about anything then feel free to ask a doctor for advice.

Shall i get treatment for sensitive skin?

Female | 33

Living with sensitive skin can be frustrating. Your skin may redden, itch, and burn, often triggered by genetics and certain products. Use gentle, fragrance-free products, avoid hot showers as they can be harsh, and shield your delicate skin from the sun's rays. With proper care, your sensitive skin can feel comfortable again.

I have a rash on breast for a year changes slightly recently. No other symptoms

Female | 40

A rash on the breast persisting for a year and showing recent changes should prompt a visit to a dermatologist. While it could be benign, such changes may signify underlying issues like dermatitis, fungal infections, or even rare conditions like Paget's disease of the breast.

My name is Eric, am 31 years old. My problem is growing with visible veins, I am not developing in structure What should I do please?

Male | 31

Visible veins can be caused by a variety of things including genetics, physical activities, or low body fats. Though it may be alarming, this is typically a normal genetic trait. To aid the flow of blood through the vein, stay active, eat a balanced diet, and drink plenty of fluids. Should you experience any pain or other symptoms, it is best to see a doctor who is qualified to give you the medicine that is best for you. They will carefully evaluate your condition and suggest a course of treatment specifically adjusted to your needs.

I ave been suffering from staphylococcus aerus so for 7year now after treatment and medication it will reoccur I don’t know what else to do okay I want to lab last month it’s still there I can send you the if you want maa I ave taken injections now am taken augmenting quaclave as doctor prescribed to me my friends brother that is medical doctor in abroad said I should stop wasting money I should browse the internet google proved to me that vancomycin is the best injections for stubborn staph but am having double mind it won’t work maa plsss advice me on what to do thanks GOD bless

Male | 25

Staphylococcus aureus often leads to skin infections, boils, and even more serious problems such as bloodstream infections. It's caused by bacteria that may be hard to completely remove from the body. If the usual treatments like augmentin were ineffective in getting rid of the infection, vancomycin recommended by your friend is worth considering. Vancomycin is an antibiotic usually used as a last resort for persistent staph infections, especially those that do not respond to other antibiotics. When using vancomycin, it is important to follow your doctor's advice on dosage and treatment duration.
