I have a rash on breast for a year changes slightly recently. No other symptoms
Female | 40
A rash on the breast persisting for a year and showing recent changes should prompt a visit to a dermatologist. While it could be benign, such changes may signify underlying issues like dermatitis, fungal infections, or even rare conditions like Paget's disease of the breast.

I m 23 and I face a lip skin issue from past month, symptoms lips crack white patches exfoliating
Male | 23
You are suffering from lip dermatitis. The symptoms you mentioned, such as cracked lips, white patches, and skin peeling off, are the typical signs of lip dermatitis. Lip dermatitis can be the result of dry weather, periodically licking the lips, or the use of severe lip products. Use a gentle lip balm and refrain from licking the lips. Proper nutrition and protection from damaging UV radiation should be observed to prevent harmful effects on the lips. If the discomfort persists, visit a dermatologist.

i have tiny pimple-like blisters on my palms, hands and fingers, they arent itchy at all but they can tend to be a little painful at times, they have recently appeared on my feet and on my soles, i am 21 years old and this is the first time such is happening in my life
Female | 21
You may have dyshidrotic eczema. It looks like small blisters on hands, fingers, and feet. Irritants, allergies, or stress cause this condition. Though not itchy, blisters feel painful sometimes. Keep hands and feet cool and dry. Use mild products. Avoid triggers like certain soaps or foods. If it worsens, see a dermatologist.

been diagnosed with scabies and applies permethrin cream on the 3rd of april. after research i can see improvements are not quick to see but i am seeing a much larger increase of rashes on different parts of my body that weren’t there and the existing ones, like my left hand, looks like the rashes have developed bumps and look more prominent. is this a normal reaction to the cream and should i be worried that it has made it worse? should i try ignore it until my second treatment?
Male | 20
Are rashes getting worse after using permethrin cream? Relax, that's normal. The mites are dying, which can cause irritation and make the rashes appear worse briefly. Don't worry—this means the treatment is working. Keep at it steadily and follow the instructions carefully. Contact a dermatologist if symptoms escalate severely or if discomfort spikes alarmingly.

I have been for four years keratosis pilaris How can I fix the skin problem?
Female | 20
Chicken skin is a condition where your skin feels bumpy, and rough, like sandpaper. Keratin buildup blocks hair follicles, causing this. Using mild cleansers helps. Moisturize often. Gentle exfoliation smooths bumps. Lactic acid or urea products reduce roughness. It's common but usually improves gradually.

I noticed a small circle which is purpley black on my penis around the outside and more purple in the middle do I need to be worried
Male | 15
The purple-black circle around your penis area could be a bruise. Or, it might be a blood vessel you can see now. Maybe it happened from an injury. Or, some friction during physical activities caused it. If it doesn't hurt or itch, it will probably heal by itself. But, if you see any changes or feel discomfort, talk to a dermatologist. They can check it out and make sure everything's okay.

Hi, I'm a 21 year old female and I just noticed a white thing at the back of my tongue and it has veins, should I be alarmed? Also how do I gain weight fast?
Female | 21
Not rarely do you spot the transformation of the back of your tongue, a white patch with prominent veins being visible. This may be a result of several aspects, such as irritation, dehydration, or mild infection. Therefore it is usually harmless, you should still be cautious and follow up on the condition in case of any changes, discomfort, or the continuation of symptoms. By the way, a consultation with a dermatologist is advisable for clarification and security. For proper weight gain, it is best to choose foods that are high in nutrients such as nuts, avocados, whole grains, and dairy.

In the past 5 months I have been suffering from fever and cold along with a lot of weakness and My hair was very thick before and now it has fallen out a lot.
Female | 18
You're experiencing a combination of symptoms that could be related to an underlying health issue. Persistent fever, cold, weakness, and significant hair loss over several months can sometimes point to problems like nutritional deficiencies, thyroid issues, or even an infection. It's important to consult a general physician or an endocrinologist who can evaluate your symptoms properly and suggest the right treatment.

I got a bump on my finger, it's pretty large, redish in colour, round and it has a small black point in the middle, it doesn't hurt or itch but it looks concerning. I don't know exactly when it got there but it's been less than 2 months. When i asked Mr Google, it obviously showed me cancer-related links like always haha, i don't usually take Google seriously but the thing is cancer runs in my family and my grandma is a triple-cancer survivor, including skin cancer, i'm also a smoker and i enjoy tanning during the summer, which adds to the problem. Should i be concerned or is it just medical anxiety and it's only a normal bump?
Female | 19
The bump on your finger could be a common situation called a wart. Warts are mostly painless and can sometimes have a black dot in the center. They are due to a virus which is not usually dangerous. But, if you are in doubt, the best thing is to get a dermatologist to check it.

I am 23 years old and I did a breast surgery on 17th of march 2024 for removal of lump. The wound is yet to heal now. Few days after the surgery i noticed leakages from the stitches so i went back to the doctor then he stitched it again whivh made the healing process very slow. What can I do to heal the opened wound on my right breast? I find it difficult to bathe. I was prescribed ciprotab by the doctor and vitamin c (but I got the coloured ones instead) or should I have been using the white one? I already stopped the ciprotab
Female | 23
To help the wound heal, ensure that you keep it clean and dry, wash the area gently with some mild soap and water then dry. Any rough movements which might disrupt the stitches should be avoided. Consult with Your Doctor on the right type of vitamin C use, usually white because colored ones could have added ingredients. Should there be signs like increased pain, redness, swelling, or pus, then do seek medical Help immediately as this could mean infection.

Iam harshith Iam suffering from pimples in my forehead I consulted a doctor he said me to use this skin cream iam using betamethasone VALERATE and NEOMUCIN SKIN CREAM BETNOVATE-N please tell me what should I do for this pimples
Male | 14
Having pimples on your forehead is a nuisance, but using Betnovate-N cream with Betamethasone Valerate and Neomycin helps. These substances can reduce inflammation and kill the bacteria causing the pimples. Make sure you apply the cream as prescribed by your doctor. Additionally, washing your face regularly to keep it clean and avoiding oily products can prevent more pimples.

I'm 22 years old male. I have some fungal infections in my hip and my leg in almost 18+ months. I have some skin care creams but not cure
Male | 22
A persistent fungal infection is quite often the cause of discomfort, it may be accompanied by itching, redness and flaking of the skin. Among the very common causes are exposure to moisture, hot conditions, and touching surfaces that are infected with fungus. Sometimes, it is not enough to merely find an over-the-counter cream that gives you temporary relief; it can well be improved, but sometimes a total solution is still impossible. My choice is the use of complex treatments that may be also over the counter, for example, antifungal drugs given on doctor’s recommendation along with making sure cleanliness and the affected areas are kept dry. A visit to the doctor often is the time for specific ways of dealing with the situation and also for quicker management of the condition. You are not alone in it. If you are still hesitating, remember that professional help can actually solve your problems very brilliantly.

Hi mam! I had been facing a bacterial infection around the gaps of my toes. Yesterday the pus was coming out of it and now it's swollen and painful. I can't walk properly from last 2 weeks because of it. I tried a lot to cure it by soaking my legs in hot water and applying normal moisturizer cream.

It appears like a serious wound infection in your big toe. This case needs to be brought to the attention of a doctor straight away. You may need to see a dermatologist or a podiatrist to get the problem sorted as soon as possible to avoid more complications.

Without a physical examination, it is difficult to understand your problem and the cause of it. I advise you to visit a dermatologist for proper diagnosis of your condition. Based on that, he may recommend the right treatment for your problem which can include antibiotic or anti-inflammatory creams.

Hello, Recently I have noticed what looks like a rash on my foot, but it isn't itchy and It doesn't usually hurt when I am walking. I've had it for a few weeks it doesn't seem to be getting worse but it doesn't seem to be improving. I'm worried it could be something serious
Female | 32
A rash without itchiness or pain seems harmless, yet various factors could cause it. It might stem from a fungal infection, eczema, or contact dermatitis. However, some non-itchy rashes indicate more severe underlying issues. To ensure proper diagnosis and treatment, consulting a dermatologist remains the safest bet.
