I am a 20 year old male who has been having chest pains for the past week. They have come and go and spread through my chest and shoulders to my back. They are typically sharp or dull and can occur when I take a deep breath but feel better while I exercise. I had this before and had two x rays in the past and an x ray today to check if there was anything wrong with my lungs and evertime, my doctors assured me I am fine. I heard that x rays can miss lung cancer.

Male | 20

X-rays are generally effective in detecting lung conditions, but they may not always identify all potential issues, and early stages lung cancer. However it's important to note that chest pain can have various causes, and lung cancer is relatively rare, especially in young individuals. Consider discussing your concerns with your doctor who can evaluate your symptoms and recommend further tests or referrals to address your chest pains. They are in the best position to provide appropriate guidance based on your individual situation.

Breathe prblm , shortness of breathe, it is being very extreme

Female | 22

You're in a hard situation when it comes to your breathing. Feeling like you're not getting enough air can add to your shortness of breath. It can bring about several things such as asthma, lung infections, heart diseases, or even anxiety. Try to remain calm, sit up straight, and start taking slow, deep breaths. If it remains, then, you should get medical help immediately.

I m 24yrs female. From past 6month l, I have frequent cough and cold. Now I m feeling so weak. Also in past 1year I faint 3times. I m so worried. Why this happened to me? Currently I m feeling so weak. While standing or walking I had some vibration feeling in my head.

Female | 24

Weakness, frequent coughs and colds, and fainting can have various causes. These symptoms might indicate low iron levels in your blood, known as anemia. Feeling tired or light-headed are common sign of iron deficiency. You should eat iron-rich foods like spinach, lentils, and meat, drink plenty of water, and rest when needed. If these steps don't help after some time, seek medical advice as soon as possible, as it could be something serious that needs urgent attention.

It is recommended that you seek the advice of a pulmonologist if you have been having symptoms of cough for more than 2 weeks. Chronic cough is a common symptom that can be related to various respiratory diseases like asthma, bronchitis, and lung cancer.

My granddaughter had a slight fever and a cough sense yesterday. The fever is gone but the cough is still there. I gave her some cough drops which didn’t work. Her cough became more consistent. Her mother gave her Tussin, a cheaper version of Robitussin. Now she’s vomiting. Is this a sign of Whooping Cough? She’s 7 years old

Female | 7

This typically occurs when a person coughs so much, it makes them sick to their stomach. In children, particularly in toddlers, this can be alarming. It is an infectious disease characterized by coughs that produce a “whooping” sound. It is caused by bacteria and affects the respiratory system. If left untreated or not properly managed, it can cause serious complications, especially in young kids.

Cough..very hard.........

Male | 30

Your cough sounds very intense. A severe cough can signify illnesses like chest infections, throat infections, allergies, or asthma. Stay hydrated, use a humidifier, and take cough medicine if required. If it persists, see a pulmonologist. Severe coughing fits are difficult. Coughs sometimes indicate underlying conditions. Persistent coughing warrants medical attention. Remedies like fluids and humidifiers provide temporary relief.

My mother has sarcoidosis fibrotic ILD patient.last night her oxygen saturation 87 to 90. But physically she is normal .plz suggest what should i do.

Female | 66

The scarred and stiff lung tissue in sarcoidosis fibrotic ILD makes it hard for air to get in.  If her oxygen level drops below normal, she does not have enough oxygen in her body. It can be really bad. Even if she seems fine, low oxygen can hurt her. Assure that her doctor’s instructions for using oxygen are strictly followed. In case there is no improvement, call for emergency medical services immediately.
