Late Period After Emergency Contraception: Am I Pregnant?
I had sex after the 6th day of my cycle and then took an I-pill after 72 hr of sex but now I am 7 days late. Am I pregnant??

Getting late periods does not always signal pregnancy, so don't worry. The emergency contraceptive pill can disrupt your menstrual cycle, causing delays. Stress, illness, weight fluctuations - these factors impact periods too. If still concerned, take a pregnancy test at home for reassurance.

I’m 3 days late for my period and I had sex 6 days ago, what are the chances of getting pregnant?
Female | 19
Being a few days late with your period could mean pregnancy if unprotected sex occurred. Fatigue, nausea, sore breasts may be early signs. Take a home pregnancy test to confirm pregnancy. Consult a gynecologist for guidance regarding a potential pregnancy.

i'm feeling bloated in my lower abdomen and it hurts sometimes but I don't have period, i missed my period 10 days and I'm experiencing spotting. my last period begin on last april 15. My partner and I did something on 1 week of April and I still got my period on April 15. Now, my partner and i didn't have sex but I still got no period this time. please help me on this, thank you for answering.
Female | 19
Missed periods, bloating, lower stomach pain, and spotting are all signs of hormone imbalance which can be caused by stress among other things like pregnancy etc. The exercise activity from April’s first week might have affected your cycle. Monitor these symptoms plus your menstrual cycle for the next couple of weeks. If they worsen, see a gynecologist who will give you further instructions on what steps to be taken.

I have bumps on the outside of my vagina. I am not sure if it is boils or a STD, but it is extremely painful and has been present for about 5 days. I have also run a low fever.
Female | 19
You might have genital boils. Those are painful, red lumps filled with pus. They come from bacteria or irritation. Fever could mean infection spreading. Use warm compresses and cleanliness to ease the pain. If bumps don't improve or worsen, see a gynecologist.

I'm on my dpo 7, i got spotting today, i have headache, nausea, fatigue, sore breasts, so is it implantation or PMS, i have a regular cycle of 30 window, so spotting this early is not normal, do i have to consult the doctor?
Female | 39
Light bleeding in this early phase can be a little tricky. The symptoms you listed like headache, nausea, and fatigue can be common in either case. If you are in doubt or have some concerns, it is really a good way to contact your gynecologist for individualized advice and guidance. They will be with you to get to the bottom of it and find the best possible treatment for you.

I am a pcod patient and my age is 27. I have been on medication since very long and now I am trying to conceive, for that my doc prescribes some medicines i.e mgd360k, corectia, vms max, follic acid, dydogesterone and utronic syrup, also I am thyroid patient so 50 mg medicine. My period was never on time instead it get delayed for even 6 months or more. But after medications i am getting my period. For few months i used Gynaset for period but since 3 months my period automatically comes. Since feb month i was using gynaset for period.(got period on 6th feb) But in march I get my period automatically on 31st(spotting) then again in april on 27th I saw spotting , my doc asked me to take gynaset so again i got my period on8th may...and this month june I got my period on 1st. But again spotting I am on fertyl tablet for conceiving. This time my period actually start after 25 days only. Now i kind of feel my spotting will even stop. What can be the reason for this?
Female | 27
There are many possible reasons for bleeding in between periods, including hormone imbalances, problems with the thyroid gland, or even certain medications. Since you’re trying to get pregnant, irregularities like these could affect your ability to conceive. I suggest talking to your gynecologist openly about them so that he/she can help you manage this situation properly.

i am 21 years old female. i have been getting my periods since December, its February right now, its on and off, for 2 weeks in January i got heavy periods and since then i have been getting spotting on the pads. i met with a gyn and she gave me a medicine called norethindrone acetate, and gave me dosage accordingly, and diagnosed me with PCOD. i haven't been taking the medicine cause I'm not sure if i should. i am also afraid if it has anything to do with pregnancy, i have taken UPTs thrice and they were all negative and my last intercourse was in November. however i have extreme lower back pain and i experience tiredness. i just want answers to whether it is pregnancy given the lower back pain and the spotting for so long? if its not that then can i take the medicine prescribed and it wont be an issue and i wont have any extreme side effects.
Female | 21
Based on your symptoms, it is improbable that you are pregnant because you have taken three negative UPTs and your last intercourse was in November. Your period time may be different because of PCOD. That's why your gynecologist diagnosed you with PCOD. As long as you take the drug recommended by your gynecologist, norethindrone acetate, according to the dose and monitoring for adverse effects, it is ok. But, if the backaches and tiredness continue, then consult your gynecologist again

Hello doctor. Me and my partner didn’t had sex. On July 4, gave him oral. His pre cum got onto my lips. Kissed him on his hips with his pre cum. And then he went down on me. Is it possible to get pregnant like that? Or even if he has touched his penis with a little bit of pre cum and fingered me after 1-1.5 hours of doing so? I took emergency contraceptive under 48 hours. And I drank 2 glasses of ginger water one day before taking it and also 5 hours before taking it. And early morning before taking the pill on July 5, I saw some light bleeding in my vagina and thought it was ovulation bleeding because I don’t have such light periods. And I’ve irregular periods. ( I’m not sure if it was my periods ) so there are chances that I took the unwanted 72 pill on the first day or 1-2 days before my periods were due. And after 14-15 hours of taking the pill, I started bleeding heavily (more than spotting and less than periods) . The bleeding was enough to use a pad. Can withdrawal bleeding start this early ? Just after 14-15 hours of taking the pill? Or is it my periods triggering early because I took the pill maybe near my due date or on my due date? On 6th July morning, I drank one more glass of ginger water , and in the evening my body temperature fluctuated between 99.3 at 5pm to 98.7 at 8pm and 97.6 at 11pm . My heartbeat also gets fast sometimes. Is it because of the stress? Or hormonal changes? Today is July 7th, more than 48 hours gone after taking the pill. And in the morning , I was feeling dizzy , tired and weakness. I slept again and woke up at 3pm. I am still feeling tired but that maybe because I slept so much. I’m still bleeding heavily. But it’s lesser than my normal periods. Could this be my periods only? But less heavier? Or is it withdrawal bleeding? Am I pregnancy safe? I’m really worried!
Female | 19
Interestingly, you can get pregnant despite using emergency contraception. The bleeding you experienced is more likely a response to the pill, not pregnancy. The changes in temperature and fast heartbeat might be due to hormonal changes or stress. Dizziness and fatigue are common with emergency contraceptives. Take some time to rest, and keep hydrated, and if you have any more concerns, please visit a gynecologist.

I am 22 year old girl and I have not getting my periods
Female | 22
If you are 22 years old and have no menstruation, this is called amenorrhea. The most frequent reasons may refer to a stressful lifestyle, overwhelming physical activities, hormonal imbalances, or some medical conditions. Consuming a balanced meal, lowering the stress level, and getting a medical check-up can shed light on the underlying cause and the optimum solution for you.

I am having spot bleeding during my periods it started on 6 th september still it haven’t stopped, 15-20 days before after unprotected sex i took ipill is it due to that?
Female | 20
Spotting or minor bleeding between periods can happen for various reasons, not just the i-pill. It could be due to hormonal changes, infections, or other medical conditions. Since you recently took the i-pill, it might have affected your menstrual cycle. It's important to monitor the bleeding and any other symptoms. Make sure to stay hydrated and get enough rest. If the bleeding continues or worsens, consider consulting a gynecologist for further evaluation and advice.

For the past 2 months I’ve been bleeding for a 25-30 days straight and before that I wouldn’t get ny period for 3 months straight.

A hormone imbalance can often be the reason behind it. As they control the menstruation cycle. Stress, weight changes, and various medical conditions are also responsible for it. Consult a gynecologist for proper guidance and treatment for your regular cycles.

I ovulate after 10 days of the period can I get pregnant the next day
Female | 23
I suggest that you visit a gynecologist in order to have a whole examination and management of your menstrual causes. You would ovulate 14 days before the next period, so you probably won't ovulate the next day after period. But, sometimes, sporadic cycles may indicate hormonal imbalances or some medical problems. The choice of gynecologist would be the right expert to consult for further advice.

I missed my period and it was delay for 12 days, i have taken pregnancy test was negative thrice...please help

If you missed your period and your pregnancy test is negative, it may be that your menstrual cycle is just delayed due to stress, changes in diet or exercise, and hormonal imbalances. But if you continue to experience irregular periods or missed periods, you must talk to a Gynecologist.

I’m 24 years female for 2 days I’ve unbearable itching in my vagina area but I can’t see anything like yeast there
Female | 24
You may have an infection caused by a yeast infection despite not noticing any visual difference. Yeast can indeed be very elusive, for sure! Even apart from this, itchiness can be a result of things like soap-induced irritation or wearing very tight clothes. To do this, make sure you only wear comfortable cotton panties and stay away from any sweetly scented products in that area. Drinking lots of water can help too. However, if the itching still persists, you can consult a gynecologist for proper treatment.

Hello, I’m a 17 year old female and I am currently taking the pill and anti depressants! I have had a period 2 weeks ago but I am experiancing tiredness, feeling sick , breakouts on my skin and a metal taste in my mouth! I have had intercourse recently. What would you say this could be
Female | 17
You might be having some side effects from your drugs or hormonal changes. The tiredness, nausea, breakouts, and metallic taste could mean different things. One possibility is that the pill is causing these symptoms, especially if you are new to taking it. Your feelings can also be influenced by the hormones in birth control or antidepressants. There is also a chance that you might be pregnant if you have had sex recently. Talk about this with a gynecologist so they can give you advice tailored specifically for you based on what’s going on with your body.

Recently i got a fever so i consulted a doctor while having madicines i fot a period actually my period is not that date after 4 days of periods suddenly it stopped again i having periods in my original date what moght be the reason
Female | 29
The effect of hormones on the body can sometimes lead to the irregularity of the periods because of having a fever. It is possible that the sudden stop and restart were due to this disruption. Be sure to be hydrated and also get enough rest. If this goes on or you have worries, it's always good to have a talk with your gynecologist.

My last period date is 28 November 2024 there is many days for my next period but iam getting pre-period blood right now. What is the reason?.is it serious?.
Female | 20
Bleeding before your expected cycle happens for a number of reasons, like hormonal fluctuations, stress, or ovulation spotting. Even though it is mostly not serious, it is important to monitor your symptoms. If the bleeding is heavy, this may be a sign of a UTI. Keeping track of your periods and the symptoms you get along them may be another effective way of doing it. If it concerns you may also consult a gynecologist.
