Answered on 12th Sept '24
Triglycerides are fatty substances found in blood. Excessive levels increase health risks. There are typically no symptoms. quick thing l wanted to mention, l encountered a problem not to long ago, every night when l was going to bed l put the heater on and left it on for the whole night the heat got really intense at times even reaching 80 degrees. l did this for like 4 weeks every night. And then the bottom of my mouth got a burnt mark, it's been 5 months, and the burnt mark is still there, l've been wandering how can l get rid of this
Male | 20
You might have a thermal burn in your mouth due to the extreme heat. This usually happens when the tissues in your mouth have been exposed to high temperatures for an extended period. Sometimes, burns take some time to completely heal. To speed up the healing process, apply gels that soothe or ointments meant for mouth burns. Also, drink cold liquids and avoid eating spicy or hot foods because they can increase discomfort levels. However, if the burnt mark continues, go to see a dentist.

My toe nails are changing to a yellow color..also I have skin peeling between my toes and it hurts very much.. can you prescribe me anything for it..I'm guessing it's athletes feet and toe nails fungus
Female | 40
Your symptoms sound like athlete’s foot and toenail fungus. An athlete’s foot can cause your nails to turn yellow, make the skin on your feet peel off, and make your toes hurt. The fungus that leads to athlete’s foot loves warm, damp areas – like sweaty feet. You can use over-the-counter antifungal creams on your skin and nails to treat it. Also, try to keep your feet clean and dry so they are less appealing to the fungus.

My daughter is 10 year old and she got allergic it's like water ball it's spreading on legs so what is the best treatment for that.
Female | 10
Your daughter may have red hives, itching, and raised bumps on the skin. Often hives are elevated because of allergens like the diverse range of food, insects, or specified materials. Antihistamine drugs such as Benadryl can be used to help relieve the symptoms of itching and swelling. Check again to ensure no food or other substances have caused the allergy, and if it spreads or worsens, seek medical attention.

If ingrown hair has turned into painful boils with pus, try cleaning the area gently with warm water and soap. Apply warm compresses and avoid picking at the boils. I have a lump between 1-2 inches below my left ear, where my jawline meets my neck. Is this serious, or likely just a lipid deposit?
Male | 17
You have a lump below your left ear where your jaw meets your neck. This could be a swollen lymph node, often due to infections, or a lipoma, which is a harmless fatty lump. If it's not painful or growing quickly, it's usually not a serious issue. However, it's best to see a dermatologist to rule out any problems.

Hello Its look like a rashes on foreskin of my penis and dryness what should i use
Male | 27
It sounds like you may have a skin problem on your penis known as balanitis. Red rashes and dryness on the foreskin could be caused by this. It can result from poor hygiene; being irritated by certain soaps, detergents, or even a yeast infection. Thoroughly clean it with warm water and mild soap slowly and then apply fragrance-free moisturizer. If it doesn't improve, contact a dermatologist.

I am having a small lump behind my ear just noticed right now the size is small
Female | 18
Discovery of a small lump behind your ear is a cause of some concern but on the other hand, the realization that you have noticed it is great news. Swelling in the lymph nodes might be a cause, which is enough to say that your body is under attack by infections. The increase in size may also be due to cysts, or skin conditions, such as fatty lumps. If there is no improvement or even if you get other symptoms, the best advice is to visit a dermatologist for a check to be on the safe side.

Hello doc..I have painful rashes all over my body that later turn into scaly patches. What is my diagnosis
Female | 26
These rashes could mean psoriasis, a condition where immune issues make skin cells grow too fast. It causes red, itchy patches to turn scaly. To treat psoriasis, doctors may prescribe medicines and creams. These help ease symptoms and slow cell growth. But see a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and the right care.
