Using Azelaic Acid for Acne and Dark Spots

I have acne spots and darkspots on my face form 2 years can i use azelic acid if I can then how much percent

Answered on 5th Sept '24

Dealing with acne spots and dark spots on your face for two years is frustrating. Consider using azelaic acid: safe for most people. A 10% concentration is effective. It reduces acne breakouts and fades discoloration. Use it daily by applying a thin layer after cleansing. Complement with sunscreen and moisturizer.

Hi good morning I have skin allergy plz can you tell me med for this

Male | 38

For skin allergies, I advise the individual to see a dermatologist who could pinpoint his/her exact condition and give a relevant treatment. Non-prescription antihistamines can help with mild symptoms, but a person who is suffering from prolonged or very serious symptoms must seek medical help.

I am 40 yrs old female, I have had pigmentation with bad itching on cheeks and forehead since a month now. I consulted a doctor and used ointment clarina, but still not even a slight change, and pigmentation is increasing instead, pls advice

Female | 40

You must see a dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. They may prescribe a topical cream or other treatment to help reduce the pigmentation and itching. They may also recommend certain lifestyle changes to help manage the condition.

My skin is Dark what should i do to get my skin Brighton

Male | Sai

Skin darkening is a typical phenomenon; it could be as a result of different causes like solar exposure or genetic condition. Dark skin tends to become discolored. To lighten your skin, try staying away from the sun, using mild skin care products, and eating healthy foods are the right methods. In addition to this, drinking plenty of water and sufficient sleep also help make your skin seem fairer.

I have a rash on my armpits and on both but it mainly itches on my left armpit and I’ve tried putting on antibiotics cream and Benadryl cream and it still itches and not getting better I haven’t been putting on deodorant either because of it

Female | 33

It seems to be a fungal infection in your left armpit. I suggest you see a dermatologist to look into the rash, and get a medication accordingly. Deodorant should also be avoided as it might make the situation worse.

Acne on cheeks, have many big spots

Male | 29

You have some large, bumpy areas on your face. Those are known as zits or pimples. Zits occur when the tiny holes in our skin, called pores, become clogged with oil and dead skin cells. This can make them look red and swollen or feel tender to the touch. A good way to get rid of acne is to wash your face gently with warm water and soap twice a day; never squeeze the spots because it can cause scars, or use products containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid which help clear up blackheads and whiteheads.

Why I have active pimples and acne only on the chin part

Female | 27

ACNE on CHIN is COMMON! Hormonal changes, STRESS, GENETICS are reasons... Bacteria, oil, dead skin cells clog pores... Hormonal acne often on CHIN, JAWLINE, NECK... Avoid touching face, WASH regularly, avoid oil-based products... Visit DERMATOLOGIST if needed!

Can I use bleach on face if I am under treatment for verrucca plana?

Female | 21

Don't put bleach on your face if you have verruca plana. That skin issue happens when a virus infects your cells. It creates odd growths. Harsh bleach irritates skin more, making problems severe. Follow your doctor's advice precisely. Treat your skin gently and patiently.

Can I take glutathione for skin whitening

Male | 15

Glutathione isn't FDA approved for skin lightening.. Limited research available.. Possible side effects.. Discuss with doctor.. it is IMPORTANT to note that the use of glutathione for skin lightening comes with SERIOUS risks.. While it is MARKETED as a "natural" alternative to traditional skin lightening treatments, there is NO conclusive evidence to support its effectiveness.. The FDA HAS NOT approved glutathione for skin lightening purposes, which means that its safety and effectiveness have NOT been thoroughly tested
