You've had a cough for some time. Tests showed bacteria, gram-negative bacilli, and gram-negative cocco bacilli, in your sputum. They cause lung infections. Symptoms like coughing often, fatigue, and breathing trouble are common. Antibiotics doctors prescribe help fight these bacteria, clearing the infection.

My mother is 68th yr old and have cough issue, we meditate her properly nd have completed every possible test regarding cough, all test reports are normal. She couldn't sleep an hour properly Plz help us.
Female | 68
Coughing for a long time can still appear despite the normal test results because of other causes such as postnasal drip or acid reflux. These problems can lead to the throat getting more irritated and the cough lasting longer. To support her in getting more sleep, you may want to raise her head while she is sleeping and make the room humid. Besides that, avoiding bad triggers such as smoke or strong odors can be useful. If the situation persists, a visit to either a pulmonologist or allergist might be a good thing.

1. Cough (2 days) 2. Has mucus ( i feel like iron inside my throat) 3. I cough blood start this morning
Female | 17
It seems like you are having some problems that require attention. The mucus that accompanies a continuous cough and the presence of blood are indications of various things, like the irritation of the upper respiratory tract or an infection. It is crucial to watch your symptoms and your general health very closely. Water is best for staying hydrated and a humidifier can be used to minimize discomfort in the throat. But the bleeding in your cough is why the first medical visit is a must. Consult a pulmonologist for proper treatment advice.

You had the flu 3 weeks ago and now have chest issues. Chest feels wheezy and tight, especially when it's cold. Cough comes and goes, sometimes dry and sometimes wet.
Female | 21
After having the flu, your body gets weaker. Germs found it easier to infect your chest area. That's why you're feeling tightness, wheezing, and coughing. The cold air makes these symptoms worse. To improve your condition, stay warm, drink lots of fluids, and use a humidifier. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice from a pulmonologist.

My daughter has had a pretty bad cough since Wednesday. We know it’s bronchitis, but we need some over-the-counter medicine for her to take. Do you have any recommendations?
Female | 13
if this is bronchitis, the problem is that there may be some swelling inside her lungs’ airways. It causes coughing, mucus and sometimes fever too. Give her lots of water to drink and let her have enough bed rest. Additionally, consider buying an OTC cough syrup with dextromethorphan for her. This will relieve the irritation in the throat making the cough less frequent and more productive. Do not exceed the recommended dose on the label without consulting a doctor or pharmacist first.

Iam 22 year old male I have common cold symptoms and I took antibiotics and analgesics But I had a cough when I put my head in pillow and excessive salivation
Male | 22
It seems that you are going through common cold symptoms such as a continuous cough when lying down and an increase in saliva. These signs usually result from nasal congestion or irritation of the throat. Even though antibiotics are efficient in destroying bacterial infections, they will not have any effect on viral diseases such as the common cold. There are also easy remedies available for OTC ones and combination with good hydration will relieve discomfort. If can't recur, if you encounter shortness of breath, or if you continue to have too much saliva, please confer with a pulmonologist for a complete review. Always, assuming the proper course by asking for good advice is a good way to get the right information and care.

These symptoms could be respiratory infection, bronchitis, pneumonia, or other conditions. It's possible that the initial treatment may not have fully resolved the underlying issue, or there may be another cause for your symptoms that requires further investigation. Check with your pulmonologist.

Maybe you are an asthma patient. The changing seasons can be the reason for the asthma symptoms intensified by pollen. Various symptoms are observed such as shortness of breath, wheezing, and feeling of being out of breath. The underlying cause is the body's hypersensitivity to certain substances known as allergens. The treatment is to utilize a doctor-prescribed inhaler can assist in more effective breathing. Dust and pollen are some triggers that should be avoided.

Female | 27
A persistent cough can occur due to various reasons, such as allergies or a lingering viral infection. While antibiotics treat bacterial infections, they won't help if the cause is viral. Keep him hydrated and consider using a humidifier to ease his throat. If the cough lasts more than a few weeks or worsens, I recommend consulting a pulmonologist for proper evaluation. They can provide guidance tailored to his specific condition.

A persistent cough and runny nose could indicate whooping cough, especially if your baby recently had a fever and took antibiotics. Whooping cough is a contagious respiratory infection that causes severe coughing fits. Make sure your child rests, drinks plenty of water, and uses a cool-mist humidifier to ease the cough. Monitor their condition and contact their doctor if you have further concerns.

Asthma symptoms can involve throat irritation, wheezing, shortness of breath, and excess mucus - especially when exposed to smoke or dust. Asthma is an airway issue where inflammation and narrowing happen. This makes breathing harder. It's crucial you see a doctor to get properly diagnosed and a treatment plan outlined. This may involve medications like inhalers that help manage symptoms and prevent asthma attacks from occurring. Your description sounds like you might be experiencing asthma, so getting it checked out by a pulmonologist is important.

Hlo sir last 2 years i have been diagnosed with tb..tb is cure but xray report slight bronchovesicular prominance are seen in peri hillar and lower zone..i always have throat ireeitation and back throat mucus produce...recently i am going to married does it affect my life
Male | 23
You had TB some time ago, and now you're worried about your lungs and throat. The X-ray showed a slight prominence, probably from the old TB. Throat irritation and mucus at the back are common issues nowadays. These shouldn't affect your marriage, but it's important to care for your health. To ease the irritated throat and mucus, stay hydrated, use a humidifier, or gargle with warm salt water. However, if the symptoms don't improve or worsen, see a pulmonologist for advice.

You might have a common cold. A cold is generally referred to as a runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, cough, and other symptoms. It is caused by a virus that spreads from one person to the other with minimal contact or any. To make you feel better, be sure to drink plenty of water and get lots of rest, you may also use OTC medicines that help with symptoms like a sore throat and dizziness. However, if it does not improve in a few days, visit a pulmonologist.
