It’s normal for your skin not to have an immediate breakout when you quit using a salicylic acid cleanser. Different people have different experiences with purging. A niacinamide serum may be beneficial in clearing your skin. Reducing redness and improving skin texture are some of the things niacinamide can do. Ensure you follow the directions on the package and be patient for results.

I found a bump on the side of my left breast. When I looked it was an open sore. This is not the first one to appear - but this one is worse, as it is sore to touch. I am planning on seeing a doctor this week. But what do I do?
Female | 19
Bumps and open sores can be caused by various conditions, from skin infections and cysts to breast cancer. I'm glad you have a doctor's appointment this week. In the meantime, keep the area clean and dry, avoid squeezing or picking at it, and wear loose-fitting clothes. Early detection and treatment save lives, so don’t miss your appointment.

Nido r Biofiber transplant
Male | 27
Nido and Biofibre are two types of alternative artificial hair transplantation procedures that can be used instead of traditional techniques. Nido incorporates the use of synthetic fibers that mimic natural hair, whereas Biofibre uses biocompatible artificial fibers to lower allergies. Both of these operations are less invasive than traditional hair transplants and can provide faster results, but there is a risk of infection or rejection by an organism. It is important to consult an expert dermatologist or hair transplant specialist in order to know the risks and benefits of these approaches for treating your peculiar case.

Itching in scrotum almost everytime... suffering for 10 days...kind of red things apperd... what cream need for treatment??
Male | 22
Based on your symptoms, it seems like you are dealing with a fungal infection on your scrotum, which is causing the itching and red bumps. Fungal infections grow well in warm and moist areas such as the groin. You can try an antifungal cream that is available over the counter, like clotrimazole, to help clear it up. Clean and dry the area of concern and avoid wearing tight clothing. If it doesn't get better in a few days, you may need to see a dermatologist.

Sore arm after tick bite removal
Male | 29
If you develop arm pain after the removal of a tick bite, there is a chance that mouth parts are left in your skin. This may lead to an inflammatory response and pain. You should get evaluated by a dermatologist or an infectious disease specialist.

This could indicate an injury, like something heavy dropped on your toe. Or, it might mean a fungal infection has taken hold. Keep watching the affected nail carefully in case symptoms worsen. If pain increases, discoloration spreads, or other nails become involved, see a dermatologist.

Hi. I've a question regarding my niece's skin problem. She is a 7-years old. She has developed red patches of skin on her cheek, chin and around nose. The affected area of her cheek is very dry. I brought her to a doctor who prescribed two creams, mezoderm(betamethasone) and gentamicin-akos which made things far worse. Then at the pharmacy I was advised to use ftorokart(also a cream with triamcinolone) for my niece's face. After a few uses of the cream, I've seen some noticeable improvement in her skin condition since she started to use it. It took the redness out of her nose. But she still has rash and blisters on her face. I took photos of her face in case it might be helpful for you to identify the reason for her skin condition. Here are the photos of hers: https://ibb.co/q9t8bSL https://ibb.co/Q8rqcr1 https://ibb.co/JppswZw https://ibb.co/Hd9LPkZ Would you mind helping us to identify what caused this skin condition?
Female | 7
According to the symptoms and signs described, it appears to be a case of atopic dermatitis which is common among children of the mentioned age. It is a condition where the skin barrier is disturbed and is extremely sensitive to external environmental triggers like cold and dry weather, dust etc. It presents as red dry itchy patches on cheeks, hands and legs sometimes whole body. The above mentioned creams contain topical corticosteroids which are to be used with a great caution under the supervision of Dermatologist. Good barrier repairing creams including emollients with squalene, ceramides etc can help reviving the skin barrier. Steroid sparing drugs can be prescribed to manage the rash. Please consult a qualified Dermatologist and do not use topical corticosteroids without doctor’s advice as it may cause many adverse effects.

The IgM test result which is less than 0.500 means there are no recent infections. However, the IgG test result of 0.87 indicates a past infection. Iam 28years old female Iam having small bumps in bikini area I want it to be treated
Female | 28
It looks like ingrown hairs in your bikini area might be what you are possibly struggling with. These little bumps occur when hair doubles back into the skin rather than growing out. They sometimes lead to redness, itching, or even pain. To assist in healing this, softly scrub the area, shun tight clothes, and think about warm compresses. If the problem persists, visit a dermatologist.

Hi,my self Bhargav, Recently I observed small holes under the pennies, when I press that holes, white and black substance coming outside, initially i thought like these are formed by hair grow.
Male | 29
You may have folliculitis, which is a common skin condition. This occurs when the hair follicles become infected with bacteria. The holes you can see are where the infection is coming out; this may contain pus hence the white and black things you mentioned. Clean the affected area regularly and use warm compresses too. However, if it’s too uncomfortable for you then visit a dermatologist.

I'm 28 years and suffering from PCOD. I have thick hair in chin, neck and chest. I usually use the epilator to remove the hairs but after 7-10 days, it regrows back. Can you please suggest ways to rid of it permanently?
Female | 28
• Polycystic Ovary Disease (PCOD) is caused due to production of immature or partially mature eggs by the ovaries in response to poor lifestyle, obesity, stress and hormonal balance.
• Excessive hair growth in the face, chest and back is associated with imbalance in the male hormone called Testosterone. Other symptoms associated include menstrual irregularity, acne, obesity and insulin resistance.
• Treating the underlying condition which is PCOD will help you get rid of the excessive hair growth.
• Medicine such as Clomifene is recommended for treatment as it encourages monthly release of egg from the ovaries and Metformin is prescribed to reduce the insulin resistance.
Lifestyle changes include:
Dietary Changes –
Optimum diet includes a range of foods from many food categories, including healthy carbohydrates like vegetables and fruits, lean meats like chicken, fish, and high fibre grains.
Foods with a low glycemic index enable the body to release insulin slowly and gradually, allowing your body to utilise food as energy rather than store it as fat. Fiber-rich foods also aid with blood sugar regulation.
Avoid refined carbohydrates, which are found in processed meals such as white flour, rice, potatoes, and sugar. Sugary beverages, such as soda and juice, should also be avoided.
Maintain Healthy weight –
Weight loss should be about half to 1 kg per week for 6 months, with the other method based on the amount of weight lost.
Avoid crash diets since they deprive your body of essential vitamins, carbs, proteins, and minerals.
When you go on a crash diet, your body will actually destroy muscle tissue to supply enough energy for your brain to operate.
Exercise regularly –
Aids in the fight against obesity by burning calories and increasing muscle mass, both of which reduce insulin resistance. Exercise can also help decrease cholesterol and other hormone levels, such as testosterone.
Physical activity is also vital. Moderate amounts of physical exercise for 30 to 45 minutes per day, 3 to 5 days per week, should be encouraged at first.
Consult your Gynecologists for starting with your treatment and take the aid of a nutritionist in order to design a customized diet plan.

I have pinpoint small dots all over my cheeks they seem like bumps and acne but I have tried tea tree oil and lemon and nothing works
Female | 17
Sometimes, tiny bumps appear on the skin. It's called milia. They happen when dead skin cells get trapped near the surface. To help get rid of milia, you can try using a gentle exfoliating scrub to remove those dead skin cells. Also, keep your skin clean and moisturized - that's important. If the problem doesn't go away, consider seeing a dermatologist for further advice on dealing with it.

I have really big air blisters on both my big toes
Male | 18
Foot blisters often happen when shoes rub against the skin. Big air blisters on your big toes can be particularly uncomfortable. To help them heal, try cushioned bandages and well-fitting shoes. Don't pop them yourself, that risks infection. Visit a dermatologist if you need to.

Male | 39
Sneezing, itching, and discharging from the nose might be the result of allergic reactions or chronic sinus problems. The inflammation of your nose and sinuses may have led to the symptoms of sneezing, itching, and mucus manufacture. I can suggest that you consult a dermatologist for the appropriate testing, so as to determine the allergens and accordingly, the treatment can be developed to include allergy medications, nasal sprays, immunotherapy, and so on.
