The risk of HIV transmission from a speculum is extremely low. The risk is even lower if the speculum was not used for more than two hours prior to the Pap test. If you are still concerned, please speak with your healthcare provider.

The injection of rituximab that you are receiving is the main medicine for your treatment. Since you have already had your first injection and dialysis, it is now time for the second shot. This injection acts on your disease by targeting some cells that might be at fault. Follow your doctor's orders in the letter. If you have any worries or see new symptoms, don't be afraid to contact your doctor.

I want to know , a chemotherapy patient takes 3 chemo then after 3 days later she has too much fever and pain in stomach. What should I do.
Female | 47
Fever and stomach pain are two of the most common causes of chemo. The fever may be due to the body's immune system being weaker after treatment. Stomach pain can be the result of medication cavitation in the digestive system. It is crucial to reach out to the medical team immediately for help with these symptoms. They may prescribe medicines to decrease the fever or stomach pain. Drinking plenty of water and sleeping will also help.

It looks like there are certain elements that are below the required levels in your body. For it to function properly, your body needs them. Feeling tired, weak, or unlike yourself can be signs of insufficient amounts of these substances. When some substances are too many, then it may mean that the body is fighting something. To help you feel better soon, you might have to take such supplements like Vitamin B12 or Iron among others.

I had a sex contact and took Hive test on 25th Jan. Non-reactive (Feb-2) Next test (Feb-28) and LIST test (May-02) Non-reactive - now should I test?
Male | 32
A "non-reactive" result indicates that the test did not detect HIV antibodies or antigens in your blood at the time of testing. And you have consistently received non-reactive results over a span of a few months. However, for definitive advice regarding testing intervals and your specific situation, it's essential to consult a professional who specializes in sexual health or infectious disease

Systematic increases in immature granulocytes Good morning, Firstly, I will mention that I suffer from numerous chronic inflammatory diseases, as this may be relevant. These include Ulcerative Proctitis; Atrophic Gastritis; Last year, I also underwent two cervical electrosurgery procedures due to advanced dysplasia (CIN3). (The last colposcopy and colonoscopy did not reveal any suspicious changes) For a year now, my blood morphology tests have been showing an elevated level of immature granulocytes: The latest test (May '24) showed: Immature granulocytes IG - 0.09 thousand/µl; Norm: 0-0.04 thousand/µl Immature granulocytes IG % - 1.00; Norm: 0-0.5% The rest of the blood morphology is normal, leukocytes in urine - within the norm. Previous results (April '23): Immature granulocytes IG - 0.05 thousand/µl; Norm: 0-0.04 thousand/µl Immature granulocytes IG % - 0.7; Norm: 0-0.5% (and a very slightly elevated MCV) Even older (January '23): Immature granulocytes IG - 0.04 thousand/µl; Norm: 0-0.04 thousand/µl Immature granulocytes IG % - 0.6; Norm: 0-0.5% (and a very slightly elevated MCV and basophils) There is a clear upward trend since last year. I initially thought this was due to extreme stress (CIN3, LLETZ etc). Now I am not so sure... Are these results very concerning and indicative of a cancerous process? Can chronic inflammatory states cause an increase in IG, or is it rather some kind of “acute” disease state? Could the fact that I rode a bike to the laboratory (medium and short-term physical effort) affect the increase in results? I would be very grateful for your response and advice. Best regards, J.
Female | 40
Raised levels of these are often linked to chronic inflammation similar to stress, in this case, it is important to control them initially. With the status of attempted diagnosis for specific inflammatory conditions, your previous experience, and the new procedures on the lookout for anything new, don't hesitate to let a doctor know. It would be helpful to get solid advice from your healthcare provider concerning your test results.

My hemoglobin report 8.2 and my esr 125
Male | 37
According to your test results, your hemoglobin level is low, which can cause symptoms like feeling tired and weak. The high ESR number could mean that your body is inflamed. From simple ones, such as anemia, to complex ones, such as infection-are sorts of them. If you want to take your hemoglobin to the right levels, you may have to take in more iron-rich foods by way of diet. Plus, do not forget that the root cause of inflammation is there and lower your ESR count. To improve your hemoglobin, you may need to eat more iron-rich foods, and addressing the underlying cause of inflammation can help lower your ESR level.

I am 22 years old and having normal diet frequently .But i don't see my muscle mass is increasing. It's like khana kha raha hui par pata nhi kaha ja raha hai. (1)Can u suggest me better diet plan in terms of increasing my muscle density. (2) Can i take whey protein powder as form of daily protein intake without doing gym ?
Male | 22
To do this, eat foods such as chicken, fish, eggs, and beans for protein. Also, have a lot of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains for your health in general. It is alright to take whey protein powder as a supplement, but it would be most effective if used with regular exercises that build muscles. Always keep in mind that working out is essential for muscle development!

High TLC may come with symptoms like fever, fatigue, and coolness of the body. To deal with this problem, it is necessary to find the primary cause of the increased TLC level by conducting more tests and getting a doctor's opinion for suitable treatment.

My vitami b12 level is 61 what should I do
Female | 16
Your vitamin B12 level is only 61. This is below the range it should be. Insufficient B12 can affect tiredness, weakness, and pain of nerves. The doctor may recommend that you take supplements to improve your levels of vitamin B12. Tell your doctor about your preferences and expected results. Then together you can come up with the best plan for you.

You probably have bacteria making you sick. The blood tests found your white blood cells are low. However, your neutrophils, which fight infection, are high. In short, you have an infection. You need antibiotics from the doctor. Rest up. Drink fluids. Take medicine exactly as told. Listen to the doctor's instructions carefully.

If you saw red blood when you went to the toilet this morning, it might be due to hemorrhoids. These are engorged blood veins in the rectum or anus. Such signs are as follows: bloody stool, pain around the anus, and itching. It is suggested to increase water intake, include fiber in your diet, and avoid lifting heavy things during bowel movements.. In case the bleeding still occurs or if you have extreme pain, it is necessary to make an appointment with a gastroenterologist to diagnose the causes and find the proper treatment.

I get attacks of thirst (dry mouth included), dizzy and unwell followed by feeling tired and a headache later in the day. This happens weekly (week n half most) used to be once a month or so. Previous bloods showed low folic, elevated bilirubin and b12 but no proper answers or directions.
Male | 38
You may be dehydrated, which can cause a dry mouth, dizziness, and tiredness. Low folic acid and high bilirubin levels might also be factors. Try drinking more water and eating leafy greens and citrus fruits for folic acid. If symptoms persist, see a doctor for proper evaluation and treatment.

I done tested hiv duo combo on 30th day it's negative with value 0.13. Then I test hiv 1&2 Elisa (Antibody only) on 45th day it's also negative with value of 0.19. Am is safe? Is 45th day 3rd gen Elisa test is reliable?
Male | 21
According to your test results, it is very encouraging that both the HIV combo and Elisa tests were negative. The 3rd-generation Elisa test is reliable and fairly accurate in detecting HIV antibodies on the 45th day. Don't forget HIV symptoms can be different; however, the most common ones are flu-like symptoms, rash, and fatigue.

I've been sick for months , my white blood cell and t cells are abnormal but primary not doing anything about it
Male | 51
Your blood tests showed weird white cells and T cells. Those cells fight germs. So weird counts may mean your immune system isn't working right. Being tired, sick often, and losing weight for no reason - those could be signs too. Visit a hematologist to get proper treatment.
