Why do I have brown lines on my underwear daily?
I’m getting brown lines on my underwear and my periods are regular but the lines come in every day I’m clueless about it
Gynecologist
Answered on 28th Oct '24
Brown lines on your underwear are sometimes normal, but the main thing is to find out why. These lines can be a symptom of light bleeding that could be between your periods. This can sometimes be the result of hormonal alterations, infections, or other issues. Consulting a gynecologist is also a reasonable step to ensure that all is well and to get the appropriate therapy if necessary.

I had uti few months ago and now my results are showing as cleared. But now iam having abdominal pain and dull discharge why is that
Female | 19
Feeling better after a UTI is great, but if you're now experiencing stomach pain and unusual discharge, it could be due to an infection or digestive issues. The discharge might suggest the infection hasn't fully cleared. It's best to visit a urologist for a check-up, so they can diagnose the issue and provide the right treatment.

I do not use any kind of birth control. And am sexually active. I use condoms or pull out. I have always had pretty regular periods but recently gotten my period twice in 4 weeks. What do I do?
Female | 17
Having periods twice within 4 weeks can happen due to stress, weight changes, or hormone imbalances. If it continues or other symptoms like pain or heavy bleeding occur, seeing a gynecologist is wise to ensure everything's alright.

I want to reach out to gynaecologist , i have a female friend , she didnt had periods for 3 months and after that yesterday and today she got lump or clot like something in her periods , she got it once tomorrow and today morning can you refer to image what is that and what we need to do ,
Female | 23
It is vital that your friend see a gynaecologist immediately. A knot or clot could be a symptom of a major problem like uterine fibroids or endometriosis. Gynaecologists can do proper diagnosis and treatment of such conditions. I would suggest seeing a gynaecologist who has a specialty in reproductive health and fertility.

I have PCOS and I’m on the pill but I currently have bacterial vaginosis, is it normal to bleed just now? I had a few small clots and brown period now. haven’t had a period since 571 days ago.
Female | 29
Bleeding may sometimes occur as a result of infection-causing bacterial vaginosis. It’s not something that happens very often, but it is possible. The small clots and brown period you’re seeing could be due to that. Since you were not getting periods for a long time, the bleeding now could be a bit different. Make sure to chat with your gynecologist to confirm everything's okay and to get the right treatment.

I am 18 and I’m having and normal more discharge. I have never had any sexual activities.
Female | 18
During your time, higher discharge is natural, even if you don't have any sexual activity. The discharge has two main types, the one that is clear and the one that is white and sometimes a little bit sticky. This is the way your body is preparing for periods. If the discharge is yellow, green, or has a bad smell, then you probably have an infection. Be sure to wash and wear the underwear made from light cotton. If you have worries, you should talk to a gynecologist.

My abdomen is sensitive to the touch I have naseua for the past week. Am I possibly pregnant bc my stomach feels hard but I’m on depo
Female | 18
Feeling uncomfortable in your stomach and experiencing nausea doesn't always signify pregnancy. It's good you're using Depo as birth control. The hardness could result from bloating or muscle tightness. Stress and diet changes sometimes cause these symptoms too. If it continues, consider consulting a gynecologist.

Hello I was recently diagnosed with PCOS/amenorrhea from my ultrasound. I am also overweight. They have prescribed be 5 days of provera and 3 months worth of drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol tablets (birth control) to help me menstruate again. My family does not want me to take medication or birth control again because of the side affects it has and the hormonal changes it has to my body Are those two medications the only way solution for me?
Female | 25
PCOS impacts periods, weight, and fertility. You skip periods in amenorrhea. Medications regulate your cycle. Nutritious food and workouts help symptoms. Discuss concerns with your gynecologist and derive a treatment plan.

I had normal delivery and 18 stitches.insert copper t during delivery time.delivery month is October. I am not check the copper t. Which time to remove copper t?
Female | 27
The usual recommendation for copper T is an annual check-up. Later, as you have not gotten it checked, you better get it out now. Not to worry, the non-check-up may be the source of the infection or the discomfort in the future. Safety and ease with it are the hallmarks. Get in touch with a gynecologist.

Got 3d withdrawal bleeding after 10d Primolut. Medium flow. Does it rule out normal as well as ectopic pregnancy?
Female | 29
No it does not rule out normal or ectopic pregnancy, serum beta hcg levels and ultrasound to be done. In vitro fertilization (IVF) may still be necessary even if serum beta hCG levels and ultrasound do not rule out normal or ectopic pregnancy.

Female | 30
Having a feeling of being pregnant but continuously receiving negative results can be perplexing. Some common signs of early pregnancy are nausea, fatigue, and breast tenderness. Additionally, stress or other factors can affect your menstrual cycle, causing it to be lighter or shorter than usual. It is important that you have taken tests already, however, continue watching out for any new symptoms or changes. If you are concerned, speak with a gynecologist for advice.

I am a lump in my vaigna , i am 20 years old . The lump is in the outside of vagina where hair grows
Female | 20
If the lump is on the vulva, the outer part of the vagina, it might be a cyst. A cyst can form when skin glands get blocked. This is usually not a big deal, but still, let your doctor take a look at it to be sure. They’ll tell you what to do next.

Hi I am 32years old female, and i have small cut on vagina after intimacy and it has been 3 days.
Female | 32
You have a small cut on your vagina after you were intimate. This is no surprise because the skin down there is delicate. It might cause pain, redness, or a bit of bleeding. To speed up the healing process, you can keep the area clean and dry, avoid using scented products, and apply a gentle cream or ointment recommended for cuts.

I made up with my partner and took unwanted 72 after 1 day. I got withdrawal bleeding and periods for next 4 months. I did beta HCG value0.2 after 25 days of unprotected intercourse.i have done many upts and all were negative.now after 4months of periods I haven't got my periods from two months.is it possible to get pregnant by that intercourse now bcz I have not made up after then.
Female | 20
Unwanted 72 of emergency contraception leads to fluctuations in the period and irregular bleeding. If for the last two consecutive months, you have not had a period and have unprotected sex, then you had better see an expert gynecologist to assess the situation for you.

Feeling itchy and irritation in private parts for the past few days. Iam 46 yrs old female getting my periods regularly. Please suggest me a treatment. Thanks
Female | 46
It may be a yeast infection, which is common among women. Signs include itching, irritation, and in some cases a thick white discharge. You can treat it by using over-the-counter antifungal creams or suppositories. Ensure the area is kept clean and dry; put on cotton underwear. If the symptoms persist, it would be best to consult a gynecologist for further assessment.

If you're experiencing vaginal discharge, itching, and persistent burning discomfort, it might be due to a yeast infection. Yeast is a type of germ that can overgrow and cause these symptoms. Over-the-counter antifungal creams can help treat it. If symptoms persist, it's important to see a gynecologist for further evaluation and treatment.

26 weeks pregnant and experiencing pain in lower abdomen after crying
Female | 35
Feeling lower abdominal pain after crying might be due to emotional stress causing muscle tension. It could also be related to Braxton Hicks contractions, round ligament pain from growing uterus, digestive issues, or uterine irritability. While mild discomfort might be normal, it's a good idea to consult your gynecologist.

I did pregnancy test. How I can check I am pregnant?
Female | 30
Various signs like missed periods, queasiness, fatigue, and sore breasts might point toward pregnancy. A kit can determine this by checking for the presence of a hormone called hCG in the urine. If one tests positive it is recommended that they visit a gynecologist who will carry out further tests to confirm the results and provide appropriate medical advice such as starting antenatal care.
